  1. Besides KFC, we now have the following chicken restaurants: 1. Texas 2. Popeye 3. ChicKing (just discovered it today) I think there's more.
  2. True friends are those who are with us when the good things happen. They are pleased by our triumphs. False friends only appear at difficult times, with their sad, supportive faces, when, in fact, our suffering is serving to console them for their miserable lives - Paulo Coelho
  3. Was just browsing the used car section of sgcarmart and found out there are quite a number of Z4 registered in 2010. anybody know why ???
  4. Bros. Wanna see zao geng can go raffles place At the most prominent spot outside mrt. There is a smurf football field and many OLs are squatting down to take the mini smurf pictures using their handphone camera, in their short skirt. Don't believe? See it for urself!
  5. Curious how many people know your login and password to FB, email, forums and so one. We had some funny incidents in the news recently. For example: - Someone's facebook posting was on cooling day. Claimed it was posted by her assistant - Someone posted inflammatory remarks online. Her husband claims he was the real culprit Nowadays is giving out your password the hip thing to do?

  7. As we know, our overprice properties are highly leveraged. In the worst case scenario of US default that carries on for a long period, I cannot imagine the consequences. From my limited understanding, upon default, US banks will not be paid. In fact everybody Uncle Sam owes will not be paid. Vaults will empty. There will be a run on the banks to withdraw their money. The banks on the other hand will try to source hard currency from whereever they can. Borrowing costs will skyrocket. Banks will recall all loans if possible. If you default on your payments, they will repossess your homes. Only HDB-loans will be safe. Eventually money supply will tighten in Singapore and interest costs will rise. Now here is the kliller. Economy grinds to a halt. Valuations plummet. Everybody will be sitting on negative equity. Banks will want you to recapitalise. Will MAS strenghten the S$ then to slow down the US$ exodus? For the man in the street, no job, no $$ what happens? Will this scenario pan out?
  8. I'm talking about outpatient ailments e.g. flu, cough, diarrhea, etc. I find that most of the time I'm only half fit but must go back to work (and recover over the weekend). Really wonder if anybody here really has the luxury to fully recover before going back to work.

  17. ST Forum Jun 9, 2011 Many driving against traffic flow between carparks I HAVE on numerous occasions witnessed motorists driving against the traffic flow to get into either the Wheelock Place carpark, or the Far East Shopping Centre carpark when they fail to find a spot at the open-air carpark directly opposite Borders bookstore at Wheelock Place. Last week, during the heavy downpour during lunch time, a woman driver drove against the traffic to cut the waiting queue to the Far East Shopping Centre carpark. Pedestrians crossing the narrow road, and walking across the Wheelock Place carpark (rightly) would not expect cars coming from a direction that is clearly against the traffic flow. Paul Heng
  18. and that excludes their Indo/Pinoy domestic lovers-in-crime all over the Island.
  19. lets face it... in any forum... there are a$$holes... pricks... idiots... retards... there are also a fair share of nice... friendly... helpful people... young and old... male and female... sooooo many types of people... BUT LET ME TELL YOU THERE ARE ONLY 2 TYPES OF PEOPLE... *1st Type... these people treat forums as if its like in real life... real personalities show... voice out and speak like as if normally while interacting with a fellow human being face to face... shows the same amount of respect to fellow forumers as in real life also... whatever the character, these are the real people who make the forum realistic... *2nd Type... useless keyboard heros who only hide behind the computer screen and talk big... the sky's the limit to how loud he/she can blow his/her horn... these people think "aiyah nobody will know who i am... i can pretend to be whoever i want..." these people speak through their a$$ most of the time... cause they think they are safe behind the computer... some of these ppl would not normally speak like this in real life... but behind the screen different altogether... luckily most of these ppl make the forum more interesting... NOW WHICH TYPE DO YOU THINK MCF HAS MORE OF?.... TYPE 1 OR 2 and why do you say/think that?...

  24. Many civil servants thought that by voting for PAP, they can have good prospect in their career. I know of a guy who had worked for Singtel for more than 20 years. He was retrenced by Singtel even though they were making money. His whole dept was closed down and outsourced to a 3rd party. That poor chap is now a cabby.
  25. Just wondering if any bros are driving a wagon?? Maybe not too many..... I am currently driving one, made in Japan (but not the one in the avatar, that's a van!) Btw, a related question: are models such as Airwave (5-seater, big rear hatch 'cargo' space) considered as a wagon or just a hatchback?? (mine is not a Airwave, just a plain wagon) Toyota, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Korean, conti, etc all have wagons in the market, oh ya, Alfa also has 156/9 wagon.... etc etc If we have enough wagons here, maybe one day we can hold a wagon meetup
