why so many bros/sis said mazda engine is noisy? especially mz3 & mz6. i owned mondeo, tried altis, gen2 & recently vios, getz, they are all noisier then the mz3, the worse is the mondeo. I can't remember how is sunny behave but i have not try honda.

Been considering this 3 models for my next ride. Having a real dilema as in which one to choose. Reason for my choices (all around the region of 60k) : Mazda 3 : Excellent looks, interior and exterior wise, but performance wise is a doubt, the sound insulation was bad, very noisy. Subaru Impreza : AWD is an excellent drive, FC is the worst compare to the other 2, OMV at only 13K, very low compare to the rest of the cars in this cat. Honda City : Its an best car here, in terms of performance, but cannot accept that odd look. Need all bros expert advise please.

Have consider to buy a mazda 2 or honda jazz, but after some feedback on honda jazz having this common gearbox problem and wheelbearing problem, i decided to look at mazda 2. So need some of the expert here to give some feedback on mazda 2. And common problem like gearbox or etc... Thank for all your reply....

Was thinking of getting latio until recently saw the sx4 in the motorshow while my aunt were saiko of getting the mazda 3. will go down for a test drive for mazda 3 and latio. SX4 will have to wait under next jan when champion motor bring it in.So guys wat do u think?

Friday November 24, 8:43 AM Japan's Mazda to build new plants in Thailand, America Japan's Mazda Motor Corp. plans to build a small-car plant in Thailand in a joint effort with top shareholder Ford, a Japanese business daily said. Mazda also plans to bring a factory of its own onstream in North America, the Nihon Keizai Shimbun reported without citing sources. Demand for fuel-efficient Mazdas has been growing in the United States and Europe because of high gasoline prices. By boosting output capacity, the Japanese automaker is set to play a key role in the Ford group's small-car operations, the report said. The Japanese fifth-largest automaker and Ford Motor Co. plan to spend more than 50 billion yen (424 million dollars) combined to build the Thai plant, which they hope will begin operations in 2009, the newspaper said. The factory is to roll out some 200,000 vehicles per year, including the 1.3-liter Demio, which is slated to be fully redesigned next spring, it said. Because the partners are considering manufacturing transmissions there as well, overall investment may balloon to about 100 billion yen, it said. The platform for Mazda's remodeled Demio is slated to be used in Ford small cars, so the new Thai plant will become a key facility for the Ford group's small-car business, the newspaper said. In addition, Mazda is considering building a new plant on its own possibly in Mexico, with the aim of bringing the factory onstream before 2015, it said. seems we gonna get our mazda rides from tom yum sources soon ..

Hi All, My friend is considering to upgrade his current Civic 1.5L to a 1.8L or 2.0L car. He is considering the 1.8L new Civic or the Mazda 6. Any bro got any recommendation? His wife ask him dun change to Civic again as he has been driving Civic for 4 years, should make a change. I would think Mazda 6 is chio internal and external too! However, it has been on the road for so long. Dunno when the new model will come out. Any vaulable advice? Any Mazda 6 owner? How is the FC and performance? Appreciate your advice!

Was quite set on the Latio then found out about the drop in price for the other models. Now decision even harder to make - all around the same. Anyone with sound advice which to buy? My considerations: 1.Reliability 2. Good FC 3. Easy to resell in 2-3yrs 4. Nice interior

Thinking of buying either one of them, in your view which one is better? My driving style is first to go when red light turns green, and enjoy taking fast cornering, twisty curve and band. Fuel consumption is also one considering factor. Your view please.

TOKYO (AP) -- Mazda Motor Corp. is recalling 12,235 passenger cars in two models in Japan over an airbag defect, the Transport Ministry said Thursday. Mazda Motor will also implement the service program for about 19,000 vehicles of the same models sold abroad in accordance with each respective country's safety regulations, said Transport Ministry official Takuhiro Kodama. Subject to recall in Japan are 10,554 Primacy and 1,611 Atenza models, as well as 71 vehicles under the "Ixion" model by U.S. automaker Ford, Kodama said. The vehicles involved were produced between March 22, 1999, and July 19, 2002. The Hiroshima-based Motor is 33 percent owned by Ford Motor Co. Because a foreign object and improper formation material were mixed in the process of manufacturing, a circuit inside the control unit of an airbag could break and unfold suddenly in worst case, Kodama said. Kodama said there were three injures in Japan due to an airbag defect. It was not immediately known whether there are any injuries abroad, he said. Of about 19,000 Premacy and Atenza models sold aboard, about 8,200 vehicles were exported to Germany, 2,200 vehicles in Britain and the remaining 8,600 vehicles elsewhere

I have been driving my Mazda 2 for almost 1.5 yrs liao and just did the 50K service. After service (with tyre rotation) i feel a little different from the front tyre like machiam got a bit of weird sound from the tyre. Any kind soul can tell me how long can the factory tyre last. Think it is "Toyo transport" something... Cheers!

yesterday I acompanyied my friend to BM showroom for altis, because altis price dropped 2k, my friend body itchy wanted to take a look , on the way we passed through Mazda showroom as well and had a look for Mazda 3, my friend and I both took a test drive, quite impressive for M3, my friend fell love for M3 and forgot about altis liao[mad], indeed M3 interior/exterior look and handling is better than altis, but pickup and FC , and $5k different
