Can anyone pls enlighten me if I can fix the facelift model bumper into my pre facelift model? I have not done any modifications before so a bit clueless. But the facelifted bumper looks awesome on the 3.

Folks, Pls share with us your experience on ur ride of the Mazda3. The pros and cons. Need to get some feedback from owners before i can deicide which to get I heard that M3 is made from the Volvo S40 platform. That is why it's heavy but has a firm and confort ride. Plus it's 1.2tonnes that makes the stability stink on the road. Sadly it is also known as a drinker or rather petrolholic.... I maybe wrong thus M3 owners, u know the best. Pls share your ride experience and good lobangs on mods as well. Feedback pls.

Mazda gave us a glimpse of its next-generation Sky-G (gas) and Sky-D (diesel) powertrains at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show, as well as its new Sky-Drive six-speed automatic transmission. These engines are currently running the testing gauntlet, as the first applications are expected to show up as early as next year in the refreshed Mazda6 sedan. Car and Driver was able to snag an early test of a 2.0-liter Sky-G engine, which will reportedly achieve 30 miles per gallon in the city and 39 to 40 mpg on the highway when used in a Mazda3. This puts it in the same territory as the Volkswagen Golf and Jetta TDIs, not to mention besting smaller offerings like the Ford Fiesta and Honda Fit. C&D also got the skinny on Mazda's 2.2-liter Sky-D diesel powertrain, which the automaker has confirmed for application in its "next-generation mid-size sedan" (*cough* Mazda6 *cough*) which will achieve up to 43 mpg on the highway. On the way home today encountered a inconsiderate and rude male driver in a silver mazda 3 SGH1857M @ approx 1820hrs of 13052010. Was on Northbound Thomson Rd and went up the Thomson circular viaduct to join up to PIE towards Changi. Upon clearing the viaduct to go straight, signalled right to filter out so that I can get on the PIE. There was a dark blue pickup on the right and there was a gap btw the pickup and the vehicle behind, slowed down to filter, but the silver mazda behind the pickup sped up and closed the gap all the way from before the semi-tunnel before the hdb block until the actual filter to get on the PIE. Upon successful filtering, I gave the silver mazda a quick flash and toot on the horn to indicate he was inconsiderate. And he showed me the middle finger immediately. Most drivers would have just ignored the flash and horn, but u responded, which means u know u were in the wrong. Have a nice day, u will get ur desserts soon. Just a note to everyone driving to take note if they see a silver mazda SGH1857M.

Hi All, I need to change my car, cos its a G9 Corolla coming to 5 years soon and paper plus body is close to 40k. I wanted a civic but its just too expensive at 70k (without cash rebate). Therefore, i narrow my choice to a mazda 3(bright red colour), 59k without rebate OR a toyota altis (black colour)52.5k deluxue package. I dun really like any of the 2 cars but if ido not change, i lose out cos its high yearly depreciation. I test drove the mazda3, the auto transmission seems very weird. Not smooth or responsive and i thought the engine is damn loud. Is it true or because the salesperson said i drive manual too long so duno how to drive auto???? Plus the FC, everyone says ist very bad, like ard 10km/l only. Is it true? Can Someone pls advise me which car is better to get?

Thinking to change my 3 years plus old ride to one of above 3, tested drive but the short urban driving, can't judge the performance and handling,although I'm perfer to Mazda3 in term of sporty look, quiet engine, perfect high speed control etc, but the price... too exxx[sweatdrop], appreciate MCF members give above 3 cars' experience here

anyone can advice where can i install side mirror for mazda 3 sp (2008 model)? i am looking for manual folding side mirror or those fixed aero side mirror. i gave up on the original auto folding side mirror because the motor keeps giving me problem, first driver side now passenger side. thanks

Not to start any wars... Read the Straits Times review on Mz3 last saturday. Price range from $60k (1.6L) - $75k (2L). So average purchase would be 65~70k. The initial look is overwhelming, but it does look [thumbsup] Worth the $ compared to Civic, VW Golf, Focus and other sporty drives? - stability - fast cornering speed - handling - driving enjoyment - style (the mz3 mk2 interior looks good!) What else is within that range? (erhh.. please exclude Altis, Latio, Avante those kind.. sorry, don't flame me hor..)

I mean come on... 76K ? I can buy almost 2 Hyundai Advante Kia Forte or I also can settle for one MIJ car... Civic, LancerEX 1.6L at 105hp and 144Nm, thats Ah-Gong technology... newer 1.6L are running at least 120+hp
