  1. Hi all, I am going to work in Middle East for few months and rent car for daily transportation, try to collect some Middle East driving style, can Singapore driving lisence be using there? many thanks
  2. Hi all just to vent my anger here. I am surprised that there are still people who behaved in such a hooligan manner. I am not sure if they are aware of the consequences. I have already emailed TransCab and waiting for their reply. Just to share with all like-minded folks here. I was driving along lane 1 of AYE towards Tuas along Clementi at about 5.15pm earlier (2 Feb 2012) when I noticed this taxi SHD733C infront of me, cruising at around 80km/h. This vehicle was advertising for the chilli crabs of the Paradise Group of restaurants. Since he was hogging lane 1, I high beamed at him once, hoping that he can be considerate enough to give way, instead of hogging the overtaking lane, with the rest of us queuing behind him. However, he continued to cruise along at the same speed and only moved to the second lane when we were approaching Teban Flyover. I turned to my left to see who is the inconsiderate colleague of yours and saw him pointing his middle finger! I am surprised that such things can happen in a civilized society of ours. I slowed down, and took down the car plate number of this taxi. After that, when I was driving past him again, I saw him pointing his middle finger for the second time! I am utterly disgusted by the action of this driver and have already sent my feedback to TransCab. Too bad that I did not turn on my car camera after I sent it for grooming. Probably I should so that next time I can just send in the video to LTA/SPF! Thanks for reading!
  3. Given a choice, would you prefer to be the eldest, middle or youngest child? Why?

  5. http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg...out_of_car.html This truck driver showed STOMPer Lim the middle finger after apparently cutting into the STOMPer's lane. The driver also tried to pick a fight by shouting at the STOMPer to get of his car. Lim tells us: "This truck driver cut into my lane so I sounded my horn. "I overtook his vehicle and pulled up beside him. "He then showed me the middle finger. He also shouted at me to get out of my car, like he wanted to fight with me." Dun know who is right or wrong ???? But the Stomper took a nice shot ....
  6. As per topic, what would you do if a passenger(not driver) points middle finger at you? Yesterday morning fetching my gf to work and on my way to work, I was driving along tamp ave 5 pass the mosque towards PIE. It was a 2 lane street and I was on the left lane. Happen that a old camery was crusing alongside me at almost the same speed. I took a quick glance at the car and saw a mum fetching her son (probably aged 18-20) to who knows where. 1st glance at them I noticed the boy staring at me. I looked away and continued driving. Hahaha but i was so curious then I look towards the car again. Realised the boy still staring at me. This time he smiled at me then pretend to adjust his hair and showed the middle finger sign. WHOA knnbccb made me damn hot. I did not want to jump to conclusions so I looked away then look back again. He showed me the middle finger for the 2nd time. Anger took over me and I blasted my horn at them and wind down my window ask him what is his problem. The mum realised what had happened and sped up. I maintained my speed with their car followed them till the traffic light and cut in front of them and stopped with hazard light. Could not make them stop and they overtook me. Less then 10 sec the car reached a stand still cause of traffic. I stopped my car at the road side and on hazard lights. I opened my car door and can you believe it or not, the young punk from inside the car still can act guai lan and gave me the expression (u dare you come la) Before I could come out traffic lights turned green and the camery sped off. I gave chase cause i was kan pua dulan and hot ( all this while my gf ask me not to do anything rash if I were to confront them I will be the 1 with road rage). I went back to my car and followed them. I think the mum was kinda scared and made a sharp right turn into a car park. lost them there... I know I caused some disruptions to traffic last morning. But let me know, if it were you, what would u have done.
  7. Yeap, as the topic says. This all happened last evening 9pm. Luckily he was not showing it to me(was to another car), else I ll make sure I tail hm all the way until he pull over and ask him why he has such a bad unbringing and which school he went to. Coming back from Orchard road and after crossing dunearn road and before exiting left into PIE >> Tuas. Saw this new Subaru WRX trying to squeeze his way from lane 1 to 3 in heavy traffic, on several occasions overtaking the car immediately in front of him n immediately cutting back into same lane at close range. Obviously several other cars got pissed off n horned at him, n our friend stick out his hand n show middle finger. In the dark I couldnt see his car number properly, but I think the car is either blue or black and stupidly loud n slanted dual exos that is out of proportion. Well I hate to say, but yet another wreckless WRX. No wonder my neighbour sold his car , because his insurance premium spike up so much(he is buying a mazda 6).
  8. Another hit-&-run case, this time on the road. Middle road, exactly. What exactly is on the mind of these hit-&-run drivers? If you have witnessed this, do contact the Stomper via Stomp. No relation to him/her but just trying to help out a fellow victim... According to STOMPer JG, a hit-and-run red van driver collided with his car along Middle Road and did not bother to stop and check what happened. The driver then stopped a few meters down the road to drop off a female passenger. The STOMPer recounted:
  9. M C S How true is this condition? Quote: The middle or second born child or children often have the sense of not belonging. They fight to receive attention from parents and others because they feel many times they are being ignored or dubbed off as being the same as another sibling. Being in the middle a child can feel insecure. The middle child often lacks drive and looks for direction from the first born child. Sometimes a middle child feels out of place because they are not over achievers and like to go with the flow of things. Being a middle child would mean they are loners. They really don
  10. Took a cab and was heading towards Kelantan Lane to check out some portable generators but ended up almost throwing up my lunch. Along the way there, the cab driver a F1 wannabe, swerved in and out of traffic and inadvertably swerved into the path of a car (white Lexus). Champion liao lor, kena horned but cab driver buay song and switched back into his own lane. Moved up 200 metres and wanted to stunt again but this time the white Lexus revved and chiong forward, preventing the taxi from changing lane. This resulted in the cab driver turning into a munster!! (muahaha! muaaahhhh!) He started shouting and cursing the driver of the white Lexus, no holds barred all vulgarities choot liao liao . . . . #$^#$(#$^*^(#$(#$*(^#^*#^(#$#!! and raced to catch up, clenching and shaking his fist at the other driver. The white Lexus driver look up and showed him the middle finger for a good 10 seconds and zoomed off. Cab driver was seething and breathing in a heavy manner, I was expecting him to transform into a green creature that we all know but lucky for me it did not happened. "Brudderr!! Relak lah . . . Relak Relak" I told him. Then he told me that if this happened in Geylang (why Geylang, I dunno?) he would have banged into the white Lexus and gather his brothers and whack the fella upside down. "Huh?" I looked at him . . . "Why? You got family why you want to do this? Your family suffer leh . . . Relak lah" "Where you want to go?" he asked me. "Kelantan Lane" I repeated . . . . "Orhh" he said. Drove there and along the way I noticed that he is quite a reckless driver, tailgating all the time and braking all the time . . . by that time I was like Reached destination in one piece and after paying him, he said "Sir, I'm sorry about what happened" "Aiyoh, just be careful okay?" and he zoomed off in a reckless manner. Wah lao!
  11. Proving that money is no object, one Middle Eastern car-lover is said to have bought 10 Aston Martin One-77s valued at US$1.4 million ($1.97 million) a piece. Why 10? The generous Arab wants to give the cars to his family members. To ship the cars out to his desert domain, the batch cost comes to a pretty US$23 million bill. Only 77 of these beauties are going to be made. And cars aren't the only things the Middle Easterners seem to splurge on. Over in Abu Dhabi, a number-plate bearing solely the digit
  12. ST Forum Home > ST Forum > Story Feb 25, 2010 BUDGET 2010 Give us a break - increase personal tax relief THIS year's Budget was disappointing because it excluded tax breaks for individuals and families. Personal relief for the taxpayer, his spouse and qualifying child relief deserved attention. The wife relief of $2,000 per year works out to about $5.50 per day. The Finance Ministry should also have left the 20 per cent income tax rebate untouched, at least for this year. Increasing the personal tax relief will put more cash in the hands of many cash-strapped breadwinners. The Government will get some, if not much, of it back anyway via the goods and services tax. While the economy may have brightened somewhat, middle-income earners are still struggling, especially with cashflow problems. Andy Leong
  13. Caught 1 hiding at 1730H from KJE To PIE I tot nowadays TP shouldn't hide behind? And should be visibly seen?
  14. i dont care ill show my middlefinger to any a-----e that drive like s--t and ill honk and flash my lights to shame the person more.... Ive traveled a bit in my life and this far I find the Kiasu driving style of SG to be the worst. Not to mention that SG has the highest accident rate in the world in relation to the amount of people here. Sure if you drive in Bali you see funny things but there at least you can exspect it. I mean seriously one of the worst things are if a person wants to turn in and the tool in the next lane speeds up for no apparent reason... or how about cutting in on your lane and then hitting the brakes? the list go on but if you are one off these a-----e then you can espect a fat finger from me.

With unemployment at a record high and the economy going from bad to worse, Joe Biden was forced to admit the obvious on Meet the Press on Sunday. "Everyone guessed wrong," he said about the impact of the administration
  16. Just this morning around 7am, in the middle of the road. Don't know whether rushing for time or what, ended up stopped by the tree and longkang ... as usual traffic held up slightly even though no blockage or parts on the road ... Car in middle of Lentor Ave (sorry not very clear but it's at the right side of the video)
  17. http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/singapor...nt.jsp?id=63424 My years of driving I had encountered dustbin placed in the middle of the road and most commonly cones placed to prank us motorists. Usually if the traffic is light, I would get out of the car and remove the obstacle. And also look around for the prankster.
  18. today along clementi ave 2, a whole family was walking on the middle of the road, think after marketing. Mother i guess walking on the right side of the road when the center divider is just next to her. Grandma, walking right in the middle along with their young children.. So i just horn and slowed down just to let them cross. In any case, am i in the wrong to horn them? How come tp dont take action against jaywalkers?

  21. This guy pointed middle finger at me last9. Ok fine I know I'm slightly in the wrong by slow going at 60km/h at Defu Lane there, but also don't have to horn horn me and zoom past me horn me again and point middle finger. So ungentleman. Dunno whether he comes this forum
  22. Let's say if the right turning lane is slow and congested, everyday you will see people driving in the middle lane all the way until the last minute and then filter to the right lane so as to "cut queue". Lets say this guy cannot cut in and stop in the middle lane blocking the forward traffic. What will u do if you are the car behind him trying to go forward in the middle lane? I see this all the time and it is very fustrating as during peak hours traffic is already so bad and there are still so many inconsiderate drivers. I mean if you want to cut queue and cut in at last minute, fine. But if are unable to cut in, how can you stick out in the middle lane and block the forward moving traffic? And amazingly, not many people horn such people leh and I see more and more such axxxxxes everyday.
  23. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-642615101667802281 I nice cool morning drive. Motorcycle on my left. Road was wet. This daring taxi charged right up to the motorcyclist backside and wanted to side-swipe me. No choice I had to swerve my car alittle bit to the right to let this speeding taxi thru. Ok...I horned and flashed to show my displeasure to the taxi driver. Thinking all is well and ok....the journey continues.....then I spot this same taxi driver....near Tiong Bahru.......and I guessed taxi also saw me from his rear view mirror.
  24. The wealthy may face more health woes By Ansley Ng, TODAY | Posted: 18 February 2008 0708 hrs SINGAPORE: Some Singaporeans are worried that the poor may not live long enough to receive the monthly payouts under the newly-unveiled CPF Life annuity scheme, fearing that the rich may benefit most because they have better access to healthcare
