Passed Vicom 28/7/11, New Rear Wheels 3/11, New Road Tax Till 02/12. New Wiper. New Aircon Fan. Best Buy!..." http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...129&DL=1000

  13. Folks, Sorry for opening another thread. I have another questions about servicing. Do you normally follow the servicing timeline (in 2 mths from the last servicing date) or you will follow the mileage of every 10K even if the suggested date for servicing is due? Wondering if will there be any issue with the engine if we we stick to the mileage instead of the suggested due date? Thanks.
  14. Hi all, It seems like neighouring countries are giving as many as 5 years of car warranty or 175K to even 300K of mileage as a standard package. Hyundai has been known to offer 10 years warranty in some places. There is no reason why the local ADs are too afraid to give 5 years warranty or 300K mileage since our country is much smaller. Are the consumers too "shy" to ask for more years of warranty or Singaporean are not known to ask for consumer rights? Regards,
  15. Collecting my used mz3 on the coming Monday, 1st time car owner. very exited. But the car doesn't come with servicing record. 24. My friend just bought a 3yo civic and the mileage is 7000 km. Do u believe? How easy is it for the workshop to tweak the mileage?
  25. Just to point out that if you have a very high mileage or a very old car (200K or higher), you may want to take note of the engine oil for your car. If you are using current API:SM oils, it may not have enough Zinc in the oil to provide enough protection for the engine internals. This is because Zinc or ZDDP was significantly reduced in SM oils in order to prevent it from damaging the catalytic converter. This affects new cars since all cars comes with cat now and you wouldn't want them to be damaged. ZDDP is also not crucial for new engines since the tolerances are already very good. Thus you may want to either use API:SL oils which has higher amt of ZDDP inside or use ZDDP additives like STP oil treatment to ensure sufficent zinc and thus sufficient protection. Its important because we are talking about the entire engine here, not just the pistons and cylinder walls. Evne your camshafts and tappets get worn out over time and needs protection.
