  1. We have seen the new MINI Cooper on various media platforms. And now MINI has presented the Cooper S in a short film - to let viewers catch a glimpse of what the real deal is about. The new car's styling is more evolution than revolution, with the hatch taking on conventional proportions which makes it instantly recognisable as the motoring icon. Despite retaining the classic MINI design, the new car has grown - 98mm longer, 44mm wider and 7mm taller than its predecessor. The wheelbase has also been extended by 28mm - with wider tracks at the front and rear. These changes should give it the dynamic handling characteristics which the hatch is known for. In the aim of better functionality, the new MINI has 'lost' the iconic central speedometer. Electric window switches are also moved to the door cards for 'better ease of operation'. Looks like MINI is all out to tackle the mass market here. Now jump to the video below to catch the Cooper S - and listen to the sweet exhaust noise from the hot hatch. http://dai.ly/x1gtvke
  2. anyone know if there is any citadel community in sg ? played the game last wkend with friends.. and is looking forward for another game.
  3. Funny movie! anyone posted before? Don't Bang My Wife... (not for below age 18)
  4. My friend took this picture while in China. 2 ways to view this : 1. very innovative. 2. sibei dangerous
  5. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this on our SG roads... It's a Honda Mobilio. I've seen it twice this week in 2 different location....and the same one both times... The one I saw was silver (top) and black (bottom), with a dent in the rear/5th door. I thought it was a minibus at first, but as I get up close, it's actually not very large....about the size of a Mazda Premacy, but much more van-like in design.
  6. I am seriously considering either of these 2 minis. Tomorrow is the last day of $10k discount. Any thoughts? Are minis worth their $? Test driven both of tem today. Drives like on rails and like go carts. Thanks.
  7. Going off the railings Published on Sep 10, 2013 -- ST PHOTO: RAJ NADARAJAN Police officers inspecting the scene after a car shot over the railings on Fort Canning Road yesterday - apparently after its driver fell asleep. The female motorist, in her 20s, suffered head injuries but declined to be taken to the hospital. The police were alerted to the incident at about 2.30pm.
  8. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1xsfFT3K_Q An illuminating new project from MINI has been unleashed onto the streets of London: MINI Art Beat. Driven by your Style. Always the innovator, MINI showcases interactive and digital design with a truly one-of-a-kind MINI Countryman custom-fitted in a stunning 48,000 LEDs. The result is the most vibrant and customisable 'NOT NORMAL' ride you'll ever lay eyes on. But MINI Art Beat isn't just brightly coloured eye candy. It's your vehicle to bright fame. Stream your own live animation directly onto its glowing LED surface as the compact crossover takes nightly cruises through London. City passers-by and the entire World Wide Web will see your personalised style light up the mobile canvas. Stream your own short video direct to the MINI Art Beat car using the Facebook app, or by tweeting your Vine videos with #MINIartbeat. Then add a customised design and beat to get your face in lights. Not sure how to go about doing it? Follow the instructions in the video below. Now, if MINI picks your submission, you'll get a custom clip as a takeaway - a real piece of MINI, just for you. So grab your shades as the lights are on. If you want your style and beat on the streets of London, get on MINI Art Beat here. See the video below for a sample. As much as this funky idea looks uber cool, we reckon it wouldn't really work locally as the car would probably be stuck in the traffic jam.
  9. I am looking for a 7" tablet for better portability over my IPad 3 and has narrowed down to the IPad mini or Galaxy Tab 7.7. The latter is older with a price around $528 vs $618 for the mini. Display wise, the tab seem better than the mini with its beautiful Amoled. Design wise both are about as slim and roughly equal size. Which would you choose? Forumers who had used one or both, pls share your experience.
  10. Hi ppl! Mini Cooper has always been my dream car (somehow just like this small & cute car). Having searched online for the past few days, I've more or less decided to get myself a 2nd hand (abt 5 years old) Mini Cooper S / Cabriolet. Any owner of Mini Cooper S / Cabriolet that can advise on the performance or sturdiness of the car? Any issue with the turbo charged engine? Or maybe the convertible top? Etc. Any feedback / advice is welcomed & much appreciated. Cheers.
  11. 1. We know the number of allocation of each category... 2. We only need to share whether we would need to buy car this month... 3. If the number exceeding the allocation given, we just need to postpone the idea to next month? 4. This way we can buy cheaper car with little COE?

  13. MINI and John Cooper Works (JCW) have launched a special Countryman ALL4 to celebrate their triumph at the Dakar Rally 2013 - piloted by the French pairing of Stephane Peterhansel and Jean-Paul Cottret for the second year in a row. Peterhansel's second Dakar Rally victory in the MINI ALL4 Racing is also his 11th overall career win. To mark this achievement, the MINI John Cooper Works Countryman ALL4 Dakar Winner 2013 will be produced in a limited run of 11 units and sold exclusively in Peterhansel's home country of France. The special edition combines a race-bred powertrain and chassis technology with the ALL4 all-wheel drive system. The Countryman is powered by a 218bhp turbocharged four-cylinder engine and is finished in a stealthy matt black, disrupted by striking green highlights. The car bears both the Dakar Rally winner's logo and the signature of Peterhansel on the bonnet. As an added reminder, a special edition logo stamped with a serial number on the interior reminds you of the exclusivity of the car.
  14. Anyone knows if this phone will be launched in Singapore?

  16. Any bro here managed to snatch this great Groupon deal? iPad mini 32GB for only $348. Those who paid the full price must be very upset. By the way, it appears that the device is not sold by Apple. The local agent (not named in the Groupon ad) is located at 6 Harper Road Unit 02-01 Leong Huat Building.
  17. I'm wondering if the above mentioned tablets are selling cheaper in hong kong? According to Apple store, iPAD mini is cheaper in hk... How about Nexus 7? Anyone can advise?
  18. MINI recently announced they are going to expand their model line-up with several models and one of them is the MINI Paceman. There will be four variants of the Paceman and MINI has officially unveiled one of them which is the Paceman John Cooper Works. Images of the car were leaked recently on the internet, ahead of its official debut but no technical details were given out. Now, MINI has officially released the technical specifications of the car and it's rather impressive. The Paceman JCW is fitted with a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine that drives all four of its wheels. The engine makes around 208bhp with a peak torque of 280Nm available from 1,700 rpm to 4,500 rpm; with the overboost function activated. And that is good for a 0-100km/h timing of 6.5 seconds. Future buyers have the option of either a manual or an automatic six speed transmission. Mini has mentioned that the transmission choice will not affect the 0-100km/h timing. The Paceman JCW is 10mm lower than the standard model, all thanks to the John Cooper Works suspension system. 18 inch wheels comes as a standard on the Paceman JCW but there is an option for a set of 19 inch rims. A John Cooper Works exhaust system is fitted on the car and it gives the Paceman a rather unique exhaust note. A Sports button starts the engine and it is fixed on all cars regardless of the choice of options. In the interior department, many areas such as the dashboard, seats and door sills are decked with JCW and MINI logos. A black and red trim is themed for the Paceman JCW
  19. I am selling the above which I got as a gift. Is brand new (only took out of the box to check and see) as it was a gift from a friend but I had no use for it as I already had another cover. Letting go at S$28 with collection point in the west or Somerset. Managed to get a pic of it in the link below.
  20. It's not quite what we expected, but Apple has just introduced us to a new, 4th generation iPad at its event in San Jose, California today. It's essentially a hardware refresh for Apple's 3rd gen slate, as it packs new A6X silicon with quad-core graphics that the company claims provides double the performance of the old A5X chip. The new iPad also gets dual-band 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi, expanded LTE compatibility (including Sprint and KDDI), a 720p FaceTime camera on the front and the new image processor first seen in the iPhone 5. Of course, it also gets the reversible Lightning port that debuted on on the iPhone, and will be available in both black and white. Pricing stays the same as its predecessor, with a 16GB WiFi version for $499 and a 16GB model with cellular data on board costs $629. Interested? You'll be able to pick one up through Apple's online and brick and mortar stores or Apple Authorized Resellers in a host of countries -- listed in the PR after the break -- on November 2nd. 21. Dear guys, Do you experience exhaust smell from your Mini countryman? My sis countryman bought slightly less than a year has this exhaust smell. It's not always but on and off. Went back to agent but couldn't detect anything. Appreciate any feedback. Tks!
  22. Has anyone tried this android mini pc with wireless keyboard? http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Ne..._660716156.html Please provide your feedback on this. Am thinking of light surfing + streaming channels (Top gear).
  23. Tuning company Carlex Design has decided to give the MINI Countryman a little steampunk makeover. Wait steam who? Steampunk is a sub-genre of science fiction characterized by a setting in which steam power predominates as the energy source for industrial technologies. A good example will be the movie Wild Wild West. The Poland based company coated the crossover in a hardened matte black with bright copper detailing on areas like the roof, wheels and other places. If you thought the outside looks 'normal', wait till you get in. The center console and dashboard have been retrimmed in brass, copper and brown leather. The copper theme continus on over to the hazelwood-rimmed steering wheel. There also seems to be an antique 19th century clock fitted in place of an airbag. It took nine months to complete the project.
