  6. According to The Wall Street Journal, Japan's transport ministry said that Mitsubishi is still using altered fuel economy figures after being found out that the figures were off by as much as 8.8 percent. The cars that were affected were all supermini city cars that were meant for locals only. After being caught falsifying fuel-economy data for the four models, the company was ordered to correct the figures immediately back in April. However, they have yet to do so and the head of the ministry's road transport division, Naoki Fujii said “We cannot help but feel concerned that these points haven't been improved.” It is said in the article that Mitsubishi is aware of similar data errors dating back to 1991.
  7. Both these 2 cars are very close in depreciation in the used car market. Lancer Ralliart 1.8T is 4 speed auto, 165bhp, OMV 21K Lancer 2.0L EX auto is CVT, 155bhp , new model, OMV 18K Which is a better choice? Have only tested Ralliart turbo, engine is a little rough. Power is isn't that fantastic.
  8. DS and cv joints are getting clucking loud. But car already less than a year to scrap. What do you advise? No point spending much $$ but worry of safety as well. Any better alternative?
  9. Dear all Guru, Thank you for your interest in this post and time. I need a system 4 replacement, the old Toshiba having compressor problem so need a replacement system. Maybe is I mountain tortoise I just learnt about Mitsubishi heavy industry, their air con is more fancy have self clean function and more technology above all that it is more energy efficient as compared to Mitsubishi electrical. Mitsubishi electrical is where we all know Mr jack will clean his air con when he is not testing car suspension. For this it is a really old design, high sale volume and the removable fin for easy Limited cleaning. Any feedback from the two Mitsubishi air con. Anyway asked a air con he claim that heavy industry clog very easily which I doubt so but if he say Heavy industry would have a higher riskier of failure due to the new component I would agree. (side talk York aircon very fancy can wireless control air con(mountain tortoise) Rustyz

  11. A Mitsubishi car was found 'abandoned' in the basement car-park lot of a condo in Sengkang. The car has been unmoved from its present lot for a few weeks. The car does not belong to a resident of the condo, as there was no condo car disc pasted on the window screen. The car plate number is SGE2933K, and according to reply to a query using the LTA website, this car has been de-registered. The Road Tax disc shows "14 Sep 2015". Assuming that the car owner has paid another 6-months of road tax, but failed to replace the outdated road tax disc on the windscreen, the car will have reached its 10-year life span on 14 Mar 2016 (just about right for a SGE car plate number). According to LTA: Failing to submit disposal documents of a de-registered vehicle Offenders who fail to submit disposal documents as proof that the vehicle has been scrapped, exported, or sent to EPZ for storage, within a month from its de-registration may be prosecuted in Court, and face a maximum Court fine of $2,000 or 3 months' imprisonment. Similarly, first time offenders who are found keeping a de-registered vehicle may be prosecuted in Court, and face a maximum Court fine of $2,000 or 3 months' imprisonment. The deadline to sent the car for disposal is by 14 May (within 1 month), or the car owner runs foul of the law. It is hoped that the car owner does not forget about this.

  18. I'm helping a friend to ask since he doesn't have a forum account. Is there any reliable (and cheaper) workshops in the west side that deals with Mitsubishi? He is driving a Mitsubishi Lancer EX 09 model. I wouldn't say a workshop specializing in Mitsubishi since they seem rather rare now-a-days, but he is looking for one after getting chopped by C&C and hearing horror stories from another friend whose workshop did not detect an oil leak for him. Thanks.

  20. Why are people selling this car after driving less than 6 months? Is this car bad? http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.php?ID=507338&DL=1000 http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.php?ID=506312&DL=2037 http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.php?ID=504212&DL=1000
  21. Dear all, Would like to seek your advice on renewing my insurance for my vehicle. I was involved in a rear collision along Adam Road on 6 Mar 2015. Black Mitsubishi Lancer rear-ended me at about 80kmh. More details on that accident here: Front Cam: http://youtu.be/WlwiJBCN4aw Back Cam: http://youtu.be/I_EmiGzmBAA Vehicle is under a year old and I am insured under AIG. Have 0% NCD as this is my first vehicle. I decided to claim my own insurance and get Borneo Motors to file the claims for me and speed the procedure up. I am aware of the options of claiming under 3rd Party etc. But I am not interested in Crocodile workshops as I know their practice of inflating claims. More importantly, my vehicle is still under warranty and BM has stopped bringing the vehicle in (don't wish to void my warranty just for some accident). My insurance is up for renewal in end May, and I'm sure the case will still be pending then. While it's clear the case is 100% in my favour, I believe there will be insurance loading on me, while the case is pending. I accept that as it's the norm. So, my question. Once the case is settled and ruled 100% in my favour, what can I do to revise the rate of my insurance? Or do I renew my insurance for a shorter duration (is that even possible), accepting that that's the way the companies work? Happy to also hear that I don't have much choice but to pay more for the duration of insurance coverage, until I am cleared of any responsibility. Truth be told, I thought I was lucky to walk away unscathed after looking at the videos. Any advice appreciated. :)
  22. Seen this car quite a few times, but rather rare. Anyone knows where to buy one, and what kinda price range are we talking about here?
  23. The Pajero name is alive? Not bad looking I say, has the new face like the Outlander. Although rear tail lights look like Honda Jazz/Fit with an extra line. ...Interior though reminds me of really old cars or Nissan. At least better looking than Forester, but dunno how the qualities are. Should be good offroad too.
