  1. Mitsubishi ASX with CVT (3 months) Got this problem in the mornings when engaging the reverse gear after the car is parked overnight on a level ground. It only happens when shifting from "P" to "R" where a loud sound (like something grinding or cracking) is heard and the car reverses normally. In "D" mode everything is normal and no noise is heard. Only happens like once or twice in a month, puzzling. Anyone knows if this is a serious problem?
  2. HI anyone knows and can recommend a good car electrician. I need to know whether it can be done to my car's front lights. One side cannot turn on automatically and only at times it lights up. My workshop mechanic says need to change the control module that cost more than $ 600. I wonder whether any electrician that can wire it from one side to the other light ( power line wire ) when it automatically lights up. Hope I have explained clearly. Its an old coe mitsubishi grandis. TIA

  4. So I've been driving a CVR for some time now. Since the Colt Forum isn't active anymore, I'll just post here. Anyone selling their Colt Version R items? Like Ralliart spoiler, muffler guard, Version R badge etc? Can PM me price? If anybody want to ride this thread and discuss anything CVR, you're welcomed to do so!
  5. [extract] A name is something that we use to distinguish or designate one item from another. For example, in the automotive world, an auto company will give different names for their models to distinguish one model from another. So that when we see a Camry, we know it

  7. Is this a worthy car to buy at entry level as compared to Attrage ??
  8. is it common practice for car agents to cover up the car camera during servicing and oil change? What's there to hide, unless they have something to hide - eg. mishandling of car, driving recklessly within the premise, certain parts never change or check, mechanics taking a nap in the car with air con turned on, taking the car out to buy lunch etc.
  9. Does anyone know if we have to use API Racing brake pads for API Racing BBK or can we use aftermarket brake pads. Thanks.
  10. Again, I started this without expecting such overwhelming support! 11. Just took over a used Lancer GLX sport (Auto) (2007) version. Mileage is around 65K. Any thing i should take note of ? Like change timing belt ? and what are the thing in the engine i need to take note of ? BTW, what the difference between GLX sport and GLX ?
  12. Wonder why SG doesn't have Mitsubishi Eclipse ? Price should be close to that of a Hyundai Coupe (Tuscani). Car may not be great in terms of engine specs & power. But the body design sure looks beautiful.... Currently in 4th Gen. 5th Gen coming out next year. Looks 10x better than Lancer EX.... Looks better than any EVO (my opinion only hor....) Maybe they should keep that chasis and throw in the EVO system.... MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE 4th GEN 2005-2008
  13. Hi all, I would like to check and discuss on this topic. Mitsubishi Lancer GLX CS3 MANUAL, due 2016 October.. Is it better to sell your car 6 months before due date or just drive till end of 10 years and scrap? I heard is better to sell 6 months before scrap date, you will have a much higher value... Come lets discuss! Cheers

  15. http://www.nea.gov.sg/corporate-functions/newsroom/news-releases/year/2014/month/12/singapore-will-usher-in-euro-vi-emission-standard-for-diesel-vehicles-from-january-2018 Euro 6 for diesels coming in less than 3 months. Will this mean the end of pickup trucks, eg. Triton, Navara, Ranger? Anyone driving commercial vehicle experienced problems with diesel particulate filter so far and have to replace the whole thing? Costs thousands of dollars to replace.... becomes clogged with non-combustible ash (not soot) at 100,000 km. Will it be more economical to drive petrol commercial vehicles?
  16. Any bro can recommend any good workshop who can handle Grandis? Got a on n off issues with the car. At times can start and some times cannot start. Hiaz. Headache
  17. Hi, I have test drive a Colt today and found that handling is abit strange. Is it normal that the steering doesn't roll back immediately after making a turn? It doesn't even align back with the slightest turn. Any Colt owners out there care to comment on this?

  21. Hi guys, As promised, i went to test drive the mitsubishi triton. unfortunately, i kena bluff by one of the SEs last time who said the double cab was allowed to be test driven, only the single is allowed on the road for test drive. Anyway, for those who are not aware, the 2 in the show room (leng kee), the double cab one is auto, the single cab one is manual both have the carry boy cover installed liao. it looks much better now. So after settling all the necessary stuff with the SE, got into the triton and cranked it up. comfort wise, it was pretty good, now like those bone rattling shaker pickups, the only thing that is 'noisy' is the grunt from the disel engine. also, like most of the disel vehicle si see, the gear knob is 'viberating' most of the time.. firstly, for the single cab, i had some difficulty getting out of the lot. I drove the double cab last week ard the parking lot and it was EASY, but for the single cab, just maybe i'm not used to the long bed. Also, the turnin radius for the triton, umm.. well. takes a bit of getting used to. Also, ironically, for a goods vehicle, i always tot that these vehicles had a sh1t load of torque(so much until 2nd gear can move off like that),but the triton was like a car, at 2nd gear, not that much power( i noe some vans/commercial vechiles move off at 2nd gear, but not this baby) so, becos of its size, its quite hard to manoeuvre it ard small tight places. the double cab was so much easier, but the single cab, a bit scary. now for the fun part. took it out onto the road.. i was thinkin " turbo sia, lets have some fun", so i pushed it at first gear, the engine roared, there was pick up, but the truck didnt really go as fast as i tot ( i was hoping for some pull back or something). then i swtiched to 2nd gear, i tink after ard 2.5k rpm, then the turbo kinda kicked in and there was quite a pull back., then i upped to 3rd gear, the truck just wanted to go faster!! i mean, this baby had some serious power man! i would say, this guy prob is faster than my lancer anyday (without all the sh1t i have in the boot). handling wise, steerin was heavy ( its a big vehicle), but i'm ok with it. but driving this truck gives u a dam shiok feeling, like ur on top of everything and pple will give way to u on the road.. haha overall, i would rate it like this power=10/10 (addicted to wack) comfort=8/10( double cab is dam shiok) handling=6.5/10( dam big, turnin radius dam jiat lat) looks=9.5 ( i would like it without the cover, but then gotta put the dam bars, sians) overall, a lovely vehicle! one thing to take note guys, most of the SEs are dam lazy to go explain or let u take this out for a test drive cos C&C did not give them much info on it. most of them will tell u either no keys or not allowed on the roads yet. the SE who attended to me is Jesse Ong, u guys can look her up, i duno wat else to write on this FR, hope its useful to other brothers here cheers!
  22. Looks interesting and comes lots of bells and whistlers ...If priced competitively to attriage, it maybe a second option to people looking for BB car. http://www.sgcarmart.com/new_cars/newcars_overview.php?CarCode=11799

  24. Helping my father make a decision on his next car. He’s currently driving a Fortuner in its last yr of COE, and would like a 7 seater SUV as replacement. Visited the show rooms last wkend to look see, so considering between these two models: Outlander $129k Sorento SX Diesel ~ $155k (SE quote) He’s the type to use the car up to the 9-10yr mark before changing. Sorento OMV is 33k, PARF is about 4.7k more than outlander. Travels >30k km a yr, so calculated the savings of diesel over the petrol over 10yrs, together with the PARF difference, it will eventually add up to balance the car price as well as road tax difference. So kinda leaning towards the Sorento. Hence would need some input regarding both models and which would you pick over. Are they any hidden cost or details that may help tip the outlander to be of better value or the deciding factor? maintenance, would turbo diesel engine require more maintenance in the long run vs 2.4 NA Engine? Servicing cost wise, are they about the same? What about parts replacement, Kor vs jap parts cheaper? Reliability? Would assume both are equally as good? Is it easy to find Diesel Euro V in Malaysia? (He travels to JB quite frequently, Penang Ipoh maybe once or twice a yr) Many thanks for any input or views.
