I was given an insurance quote for my car, and apparently all the insurer needed was the car registration no. to tell my car make and model. The quotation is half that of what my current insurer quoted, and it sets me wondering if they really got the quotation right. I mean, I'm certainly not complaining that the quotation is low, but I don't want to end up with claims problem if it comes to it. Is this the current insurer practice? -

Dear folks, Came across this heavily body-kitted car on Saturday morning. From far behind, I thought it looked like the old model (1990s) Nissan Skyline. When I took a closer look, I don't think it is, as it has four doors. Could someone please help to identify? Thanks.

A WARDROBE malfunction and dozens of camera flashes later, she found herself exposed online for all and sundry. When freelance model Tracy Ang, 33, noticed shutterbugs snapping away at the Super Import Nights car show at the Singapore Expo two weeks ago, she did what came most naturally - she posed for the cameras. Never mind that her ultra-short dress made her reveal more than she intended - her black panties were in clear view, for all to see. Worse, her panties failed to protect her modesty completely. Within hours, pictures of Ms Ang's accidental exposure were all over several popular online forums, including citizen journalism site Stomp. In an e-mail statement to the press, Ms Ang said she was supposed to meet a friend at the car show, but her friend was over an hour late. She said: 'While waiting for my friend, I went around looking at every car display. A photographer spotted me and requested for a single photoshoot. Then, I was swarmed by other unknown photographers.' She said that as a professional model, she knew how to pose even without much direction from photographers. She added: 'I had no intention to do any shoot at Super Import Night. I miscalculated the length of my dress. I was wrong, and I deeply regret going there unprepared without much protection.' However, a netizen called Shawn told Stomp that Ms Ang was there with two photographers. Ms Ang said that in previous photoshoots, she had worked with professional photographers, who would inform her if she accidentally exposed herself. 'However, during the photoshoot at the car show, I didn't realise I was exposing myself. Photographers without integrity resort to this - not telling the model she is being exposed - and even putting it online to jeer and laugh about.' She said she was 'deeply disturbed' when she realised the unflattering photos were on display in online forums.

But the girl, who would have been 10 next month, never made it to class on Monday after an accident involving a van while she was crossing Buangkok Drive at about 6.45am. The Primary 4 prefect at Punggol Primary School was flung about 20m on impact and died in hospital two hours later. The 24-year-old Indonesian maid who was with Mindy at the time was injured and is now warded in Changi Hospital with head and back injuries. The accident is believed to have occurred when the red van turned right from from Punggol Road into Buangkok Drive. Mindy and her maid were using the pedestrian crossing at the time, although it is not clear if the traffic lights were in their favour at the time. Mindy's parents were distraught yesterday and her father, Mr Neo Hwee Choon, 43, was in tears when he spoke to reporters before her wake yesterday morning. Just last month, father and daughter composed a song - 'Teachers' Day Love Song' - on a piano he bought her recently. Mindy went on to record the tune onto CDs and presented them to her teachers on Teachers' Day. Mindy's death was also a blow to her principal, teachers and classmates, who described her as 'creative, intelligent and humble'. Police have arrested the 63-year-old van driver on suspicion of causing death through a rash or negligent act, offences which could see him jailed for a maximum sentence of five years and fined. Is it theoractically If i possible should one day lup a VQ35DE up from the 23DE is it legal?I've heard engine swap can only be of the same engine cc, otherwise would be a engine mod, aka impound. I saw someone mention on mcf about a Mazda 3 lup from 1.6l to a 2l engine.Because im not sourcing the VQ35DE from Fairlady 350z but from the 350JM. Since the J31 has three engine lineups QR20DEVQ35DE,VQ23DE and the 230JM chassis is the same as 350JM Do i just have to pay more road tax +etc or a outright ban? Quite skeptical of this as i really wish to improve performance of the 230JM as like what Ryosuke Takahashi said, every engine has its limit.No matter how far you tune it it will one day reach its end of lifespan. It would also lead to greater performance gain I do not wish for anyone to look down on me and say si ginna why are you building castles in the air as i really will be forgoing poly for ITE because ITE only has Automotive engineering course that allows me to get more hands on approach on tuning and maintaining cars.and even sacrificing my lunch money to buy car magzines to learn .In every possible fyi my lunch money is only $6 for a 16yr old kid.If i am deemed to be a keyboard warrior by the old birds, please do not forget that i have given my utmost consideration to performance-fuel loss and legal binding laws.I do not wish to circumvent and cheat laws, and will duly pay up any road tax evaded by any form of engine cc gain and maintenance.What my passion is is to tune cars.
