Hi all... This thread is for all mods and repairs.. though there has been similar threads like this Feel free to post any projects/problems regarding your swiftie/suzuki/car, stuff that you're thinking of doing, stuff that you've already done.. be it adding a new decal, accessory, seat cover or some engine bling blings Do include pics too~ Anyway to start things rolling, diy-ed my rear windscreen tint today (again).. after it was removed for inspection Time spent: 35+mins (improvement over the 1hr for the last one) Cost: $8 Film: 7% dark black, some jap brand from AET Tools used: dishwashing liquid, squigee (3M brand), lots of cloth, scissors, penknife, 30cm ruler now i think the rear is too black, can't see anything though i cut a hole for the 3rd brake light to show.. sry will post pics tmr, current phone has no camera due to workplace not allowing cam phones oh btw, for those thinkin of trying this out.. i'll post the steps too this $8 tint is good cos it's cheap and doesn't leave any glue marks when removed, so it's good for having fun once in awhile and easy to remove later on

hi all, I am not big on performance mods. But would like to spend just a little money to improve on the performance of my ride, especially low end. Would a CAI be sufficient for an "entry level performance mod"? What do you guys recommend? I might spend more in future, but right now don't want to splurge unnecessarily... Thanks for the advice. Oh yah, btw, I drive a swift sport.

I've noticed on a few occasions where there are posts that do not follow the guidelines (e.g. posting of number plates) that the mods delete the entire thread. On a few of these occasions there were some other topics of interest that were brought up that were also deleted because of this. Perhaps the mods could edit the offensive lines instead of deleting the entire thread.

Hi all. I am hoping to tap on the wisdom of modders in this forum. So any advice is welcome! I have a Black '99 MKII ford Mondeo. i) What's are the best (& most cost effective) ways to get better performance from my '99 MKII Mondeo? Short of installing a new engine. ii) I've done a couple of minor things. like K&N drop-in fiter, volt stabilizer, grounding cables. What else could I do? iii) How about bolt-on turbos? Are they available n do they work? How about piggy ECUs? Thanks in advance for all your advice. Cheers

Gona collect my ride somewhere this week.. its a 8yr old nissan march (black) and man am i excited about my first car! left with 2 years to drive but am probably gona drive it longer than that. am toying with the idea of some mods.. anybody with any recommandations ? looking at a new gear stick (is that how they call it?) and also blue led lights at the bottom of the car (yes i know its illegal). anybody knows around how much will it cost and where can i get it done ? help will be much appreciated.

Hi Forumers, I'm a newbie in Car Mods, recently bought an 2002 Opel Omega and spent $450 on some mods as follows: 1)K&N Filter 2)Denso Iridium Spark Plugs 3)E-power2 VS with splitfire groundings There is noticeable improvement and would say is reasonably satisfied. I'm looking at ways to improve the performance of the car further in particular low end torque. Visited Autodesign and Fong Kim recently and they advise as follows: Fong Kim/Crimson: 1)Custom made 4-2-1 Header - $650 2)Remus rear silencer with tail pipes (specifically tuned for the car) - $1200 Autodesign: 1)Calski ion accelerator - $140 x 2pcs 2)ADM Air Charger - $680 Have read in the previous threads, the Autodesign option is relatively ineffective. Any comments? I thinking hard on FK's suggestion, maybe try item (1) first, but not sure if that will do any damage to the car (and it is legal?) as this will be a permanant fixture and how significant is the improvement? Item (2) seems expensive for the remus claimed of 3-5% improvement? Any good advice out there will be most appreciated. Thanks.

This there any one out there who DIY modifications or does his own car servicing.. Want to exchange pointers or things you have done....put up pics if possible. So far I have DIY 1. DIY Grounding wire installed together with 2nd hand Z-stab 2. Self-installed Simota open pod (filter in a carbon cylinder as heat shield) together with CAI. 3. Orginal Levin strut bars. 4. self-installed Soundproofing for doors, floors & bonnet. 5. self-installed 2 pwr amp & subwoofer tube. 6. change out engine oil & spark plugs...but stop after changed cars too much work. 7. repaired leaking broquet. Projects pending 1. want to install vacuum meter. 2. install 2 DIY pwr amp in my new car. 3. Coolant bypass modification on throttle body 4. install a capsule to install on the brake vacuum line

Hi to all, Knowing that the above mods are great for most, if not for most manuals. But recently i`ve been told by a mech that as for the exhaust, theres two types such as first is a free flow & another is with a `S` patterned flow within the muffler itself. The free flow is for high end performance wherelse the `S` is like not so much on the highs but good low ends( both patterns with header, downpipe, cat...modded ). Wondering anyone heard about this before? Thanks in advance!

Admin, please take note of the following attachments. I'm not sure whether it's just me or the server side scripting. Whenever I did a search on forum posts and click on one of the results, a new page loads. That's normal. But however, the left navigation bar has some errors. It doesn't display the threads' titles, instead, it displayed some other computer codings. That's all with the problem.

Dear all members, I now having a problem with my car engine check light, it always comes on after I change my extractor and Catalytic Convertor, I have two O2 sensors so does anyone have any solution to prevent engine check light comes on but using the extractor without the Catalytic Convertor?

hiyaz, due to increasing FC, i started modding my 2003 Idsi. Rite now, my list of mods include: 1. Closed Pod with CAi 2. SAFC2 3. 15" w BFG Sport rubbers all the other koyok stuff like e68, superione all take out already long ago, still FC not getting better than 13km/l. my driving is now like tortoise. 70% City 30% highway have tried mcwell, autodynamic, getting some guy to tune AFC but still not much success in getting better FE. (1)anyone here can advise what workshop to go to for diagnosis and recommendation? (2)anyone here know how to disable AFC - without losing all settings? thnaks

Bros / Sis, Before I start to drink 'poison', I would like to find out if I were to do any upgrade or mod to my new car, will it void the warranty from SA. Upgrades or mods like: 1. Rims 2. Tyres 3. Grounding 4. Spark plugs 5. Z-stab or other similar products. 6. Other cosmetics (e.g. scuffs, lights, etc) Please help me and other first time car owners to be penny wise...scared to void warranty just because of 'poison'...

Hi Bro & Sis. Me very new here,just want to get feedback on the following: If we have Unichip or Aftermarket ECU which are able to control the air/fuel ratio and etc.Does other mods such as E68,fuel regulator,capsule etc will useless since the unichip will ultimately act as the master controller of air and fuel.Hope the car gurus here are able to advise.Many thanks in advance for your view and feedback.

Hi every one, i`m a newbie here, currently need some advice on moding my 4 mths old jazz! Currently running on stock as previously had a pod intake setup which finds it inefficiention at all, lost on low ends tho it has a CF heatshield and a DIY CAI. Now awaiting for my MUGEN drop-in to come, hoped that it will outshine the open pod and the stock filters( theres no other aftermarket drop-in currently avail for the new F/L jazz ). Besides the air intake part, what other mods can be done to this car, cos i`ve read forums from many other countries, especially in Malaysia( since they have jazz ), that they simply told ppl not to touch the jazz, waste of money. Eg, JAZZ + Modifications = JAZZ! Just wanted to hear from U guys whats your opinion on this, issit true? Thanks in advance.

Hi, currently still thinking of whether to get a kelisa. I was thinking if I have almost 300kg of load on the car, will it be easy to get upslope? or can I actually mod it to go upslope without losing power? Is all kelisa manual having almost the same fuel consumption of almost 14-18km/l? or have to see heng suay 1?
