Today i just visited the Singapore Motor Show 04' at Suntec. There aren't many car audio brands there. Even famous brands like pioneer, nakamitchi, vdodayton weren't there at all. I was a little disappointed, but there is this booth that is call Multilink which combines 7 companies for car audio around Singapore. They sell really cheap head unit. For example the blaupunkt HU with DAB, they are only selling it at $399(wo installation). JBL front and rear component speakers with 4 channel amp at only $699. I think its a great deal.

The voluntary recall over the next one and a half years will affect 204,490 Santa Fe units made between November 1 in 2000 and January 18 in 2004, the ministry said. The wiring fault affects the vehicle's supplementary diesel heater and could lead to damage to an electric terminal or a downgrade of the heating system, the ministry said. Hyundai and its sister company Kia Motors control 70 percent of South Korea's car market. - AFP -

my father went through a dealer(his friend), who then went to the SE. SE verbally promised my father that reverse sensor and alarm will be installed FOC, when asked for it. my father trusted him. it was not stated on the receipt, and i learnt about it quite sometime later. i wasnt there during the purchase too late, when the ride came. no reverse sensor, no alarm had to pay for the reverse sensor, alarm getting the dealer to install free.

Hi guys, Is it cheaper to buy motor oils from Msia? Any petrol kiosk near the causeway that opens 24 hours so that I can pop by and grab a bottle of motor oil? What kind do they sell? Do they sell AMSOIL?? Thanks

Received in the mail this morning and immediately installed it. Took about 2-3 hours due to inexperience, but here's a installation pictures. http://matrix.newobject.org/tech/esinstall/ First test drive review: Wow, the change is very drastic and it also changes the whole dynamics of the engine. Yes, there are slight increase in vibrations felt inside the car, however it is good feedback... Such as if you engage the gear too low RPM, you'll feel it very pronounce in the car, then you'll know not to do it the next time. The vibration of the engine now produces a low growl, kind of like a deep exhaust. Very very nice mod.. IMO, if you are the type of person who is willing to sacrifice drive comfort by dropping it 1-2" and low profile tires, you will LOVE this mod. It changes the engine note to a much more aggressive note, and very responsive. It feels like the pick up is improved and you won't lose any speed from the jerking while shifting gears. What this mod does is to secure your engine in place, so more of your engine goes to the tranny and then the ground. It is extremely helpful if you shift at high RPM.

This is the first time I tried fuch syn oil. I have already clock about 9000km on my skoda. My comments: Oil is value for money. If you were to check my oil with the dip stick, the oil is black but lubricating properties still there and the engine still running smooth mechanically and internally. When I first change to the fuch oil, can feel the engine running smooth, and give you a feeling the lubricating of the internal parts is working smoothly. Compared to mobil 1, which I have used for many years since the 1980, fuch is in no way inferior, personally, I find it better than the mobil 1 of today. It is also very much cheaper. I have used other type of syn oil also, like caltex havoline, castrol syntron,shell helix,esso syn oil and a few other brand. Next oil I will use is amsoil. Have not tried this oil before, but test have shown it is more superior than mobil 1. That is mobil 1 breakdown and this oil is still steady. Already have 4 quarts standby and will be using it when my fuch have clocked 10000km on my engine. My driving pattern currently is mainly short distance(less than 10 clicks) and occasionally on weekend expressway driving and one or twice a year drive up north for clearing the carbon and loosening the muscle of the engine. Hope this is useful for those who wants to try out the oil.

ItalDesign is finishing this gorgeous concept for the coming Geneva Motor Show. With the support of Toyota, Fabrizio Giugiaro has re-organised the components of a high performance Hybrid package that combines the benefits of a 3.0 litre V6 engine with two electric motors and new batteries. The package brings 350 kW of power and tons of torque driving the front and rear axles through two electric motors. The new show car will be named after Alessandro Volta, the Milano born inventor of the electric battery.

Just attended the show last weekend and took some pics ... I am a Audi fan so they are all Audi cars including the Lambo Gayllado. The new Audi grill design on the Novalari which also appears on the new A6 actually looks quite good and sporty. I think the new A6 will definately impress in real metal. The new A3 looks good from the front but the back is disappointing. The A3 design is too conservative but then the interior is top class though.

Hi guys, I was reading abt the AMSOIL High Performance Synthetic 10W-40 Motor Oil & its benefits. Wondering wat the '10W-40' actually means... Can i use it in my new Lancer 1.5GDI? Btw i'm currently using Shell Helix Super 20W-50 motor oil for my 1st 1K servicing tomorrow...dad's working in Shell so got a slight discount...but if there're better oils out there i'd definitely wanna try them... Comments pl? Many thanks...

Ummm... do you prefer a 8V or a 18V engine? 8V = better low end torque, smoother and more power at low rev, higher fuel consumption, higher emission.... 16V = better high end torque, high reving, lower fuel consumption, lower emission... what do you think guys? which type of engine is more suitable to your needs?...
