An overconfident motorcyclist attempts to enter a corner at a low angle and ends up getting his pride (and his bike) hurt. In the early hours of this morning, a driver was travelling along the PIE when he noticed the dangerous stunt. In the video, a motorcyclist appears from the left of the cam car at high speed as both vehicles enter a bend. The rider maintains his speed as he corners the bend at a shallow angle. Maybe he’s trying to be like the MotoGP champion, Valentino Rossi? As the cam car is about to clear the bend, trouble strikes the overconfident rider as he starts to accelerate before the bend ends. The motorcyclist suddenly falls with his bike, which sends him across the road and into the highway guardrail. Luckily, the silver car in front of the cam car manages to stop in time, narrowly missing the rider by an inch. The video ends with the cam car approaching the smashed bike. The rider steps out from the bushes surrounding the guardrail, dusting himself off as he walks to his bike. Another concerned motorcyclist stops and picks up a mobile phone as he makes a quick U-turn to help the rider out. Looks like someone needs to get back to driving school and learn how to properly perform a corner. With the constant petrol hike that motorists have been experiencing over the years, petrol has become precious to us. It is to the extent that some of us even adapted and changed our driving habits to improve the fuel consumption of our vehicles. Unfortunately, not everyone feels the same way. Watch this video to find out why: What Happened? This footage was filmed at a Caltex petrol station in Jurong West Ave 1, where a group of friends were supposedly refuelling at. However, instead of refuelling at the station, they seem to be using it as a venue for socialising. And no surprise, they weren't wearing their face masks. An individual from the group was filmed pointing the petrol nozzle towards his friend in a playful manner. Upon realising that he was being filmed, he giggles in embarrassment and bends down to pull his face mask up. Seconds later, he pointed the petrol nozzle towards his friend again. This time around, he gives it two squeezes, causing two streams of petrol to gush out and land on the ground. FYI, the price of Caltex's 95 is $2.64 per litre! That kid has must be loaded from doing all his food deliveries to be wasting petrol like that. In Another Clip The same group of friends were filmed with their motorcycles parked along a stretch of road. The same two individuals who were filmed previously were seen running in the middle of the road, with one of them chasing the other with a helmet in hand. There's simply no cure for stupidity! Car-sharing is an undeniably innovative and affordable way for the public to access a car. In the wrong hands, car-sharing can be a double-edged sword, capable of posing a hazard to other road users. *Pretty sure we are all familiar with drivers of a small, white car on lane 1 of the expressway, driving with its high beam on and tailgating others👀* Watch this video to find out how car-sharing can be a deadly hazard to other road users when driven by irresponsible pricks: What Happened? This incident occurred along Bartley Viaduct, in the direction of Bartley Road East. The traffic on the stretch of road was absolutely clear, apart from a GetGo Car (Mazda 3) and motorcycle that passed the cam car. During which, the GetGo driver was driving in between two lanes. (Definitely a sign of a chiu cheng driver) For some reason, the GetGo driver failed to spot the motorcyclist that was LITERALLY right in front of him. As a result, the GetGo driver ended up swerving to his right to avoid rear-ending the motorcyclist. The high speed, coupled with the sudden swerve, caused the Mazda 3 to lose traction and skid. As much as I don't wish to make any assumptions, I can assure you the GetGo driver probably has minimal driving experience (Either that or he is drunk/on drugs). *Don't drop the "Even though I have not been driving ever since I got my license at 18, I have x years of driving experience" B.S on me* While attempting to regain control over the vehicle, the GetGo driver ended up sideswiping the motorcycle...REAL BAD. The collision caused the motorcyclist to fall and repeatedly roll on the road. It seems like the motorcyclist may have sustained significant injuries. The GetGo driver scoots off immediately without hesitating after colliding with the motorcyclist. Not Caught On Camera According to the cam car, he chased the GetGo car after witnessing the hit and run. Apparently, during his escape, the GetGo car also collided with two other vehicles in the vicinity of Maris Stella High School. A pity all these were not caught on a dashcam. It would certainly serve as solid evidence to put this chiu cheng driver away for good. Here's to wishing the motorcyclist a speedy recovery. Sometimes, people do things without thinking about the consequence of their actions. Ignorance is bliss, am I right? Until someone decides to take a video and post it on the internet for the world to see. Watch this video to find out how the internet is capable of f@*king you up when you least expect it to: What Happened? A group of people, who are presumably friends, were caught disposing petrol from a motorcycle just outside an Esso petrol station. The group can be seen lifting the motorcycle and tilting it to drain the petrol next to a grass patch. Their actions were filmed and posted by an individual from the group on his IG account and IG story. I guess it is a norm to document any interesting part of your daily life experience and upload it to social media in today's digital age. Everything is 'for the gram' these days. The Rationale Behind Their Actions With the surge in petrol prices in the recent months, it makes their actions seem absurd. The only possible, logical explanation for their action stems from the stupidity of the rider who pumped the wrong type of petrol. (Eg. Pumping of diesel fuel instead of 92 or 95.) Other than the above, it makes no sense to dispose of any unused petrol in the tank, especially in an undesignated area. Interestingly, one individual came forward to address this issue...in a horrible fashion. Instead of acknowledging the group's wrongdoing and making the appropriate amends, this individual decided to defend the group. If I told you to eat shit, will you? Come on, just spare several seconds to think rationally, and avoid any unnecessary trouble. Netizens' Comments It is highly likely that he did. I guess the authorities aren't a huge fan of this tradition! In the first few seconds, large crowds have gathered on both sides of the road as a mass of motorcyclists roar through the street. Another video showing a different perspective of this gathering captures the magical moment when the large party passes through the crowd. Riding through the roads, a cambike manages to get a glimpse of all the bikers waiting patiently at a traffic junction just before the 'parade' starts. However, it appears that a few of these motorcyclists might have attracted some unwanted attention from the Traffic Police (TP). Several officers issued fines to these cyclists as they stood around in a large grass patch. Some of these motorcyclists could be seen not wearing masks while they're waiting. Gathering during COVID-19 While it is unclear as to why these motorcyclists are getting stopped and fined, one possible explanation could be due to the fact that this event resulted in a major gathering in public. According to the latest COVID-19 rules in Singapore, individuals are required to wear a mask and stay at least 1 meter away from one another while in public. Additionally, the TP has stopped motorcyclists during a similar event last year over the Hari Raya weekend. Netizens' reactions Upon hearing of this incident, netizens were quick to point out the difference in standards between the treatment of motorcyclists and cyclists by the authorities. Most of them did not see a problem with the event, since it was intended to spread some joy during the festive season. Only someone as carefree as this cyclist would care about his plastic bags after getting hit by a motorcycle. The video starts with the cam car slowing down at a junction in Jurong West. As his car comes to a stop, he notices a cyclist ignoring the red-light signal and crossing the junction. At the same time, a motorcyclist enters from the right at a high speed. Unable to stop his bike or swerve to avoid him, the motorcyclist knocks over the cyclist and falls to the ground. Unfazed by the accident, the cyclist immediately rises and gathers the grocery bags that had fallen off his bicycle. The motorcyclist gets up soon after and dusts himself off. Weirdly enough, the cyclist's reaction to this accident reminds me of this gif of Jimmy Fallon. I don’t know if I should be shocked or relieved. On the one hand, I'm glad that both parties are not severely hurt, but on the other, what exactly is the cyclist thinking? No matter how empty a road might seem, it is never a good decision to run a red-light signal and assume that the road will stay clear for you. Netizens’ reactions I agree! However, no matter how strict we enforce our regulations, there are always that few individuals who would go above and beyond on the roads just to do things for their own convenience. 😂😂 As much as I hate additional fines, I do think the root of the problem is the fact that most road users think it's okay to jaywalk (or jaycycle) if they do it quickly and with the right timing. I have seen from multiple online sources that lane-splitting is said to be safer for a rider. However, as someone who does not ride, I don't really understand the logic behind lane-splitting. In fact, I feel it is more hazardous than safe for a rider to lane-split. What's your take on lane-splitting? Is it really safer for riders, or is it just a convenient excuse for them to cut through traffic? I would love to hear what some of yall have to say!

A black Toyota Hiace van speeds and tailgates on Lane 1 of the PIE expressway, which results in a nasty chain collision accident as he hits a motorcyclist. Again, another entitled driver who thinks he owns the road? The video starts with the camcar travelling slightly behind the van on Lane 2, as the Toyota Hiace speeds up on its own lane (aka the lane that is only intended for overtaking or for emergency vehicles). It is also important to know that at this point, there is a motorcyclist travelling in front of the van in the same lane. However, the driver of the van fails to notice the motorcyclist as he speeds up and crashes into him. The motorcyclist is flung off of his vehicle and onto the middle lane from the impact of the crash. Due to the van's high speed (it is estimated that he was travelling above 70 km/h), the vehicle is unable to fully stop and ends up smashing the rear end of another white car, crushing the motorcycle in the process. The video ends with the camcar stopping slightly behind the motorcyclist, who is seen wriggling on the floor from his injuries. Are vans allowed to travel in Lane 1? It is a common myth (or belief) that vans are not allowed to travel on the first lane of the expressway, let alone tailgate and speed on it. According to LTA, there are no special restrictions for Light Goods Vehicles in terms of traveling on the expressway. The only thing to take note is that these vehicles should travel between 60km/h to 70km/h and that it is recommended for them to stay in the third or second lane, given that they don't hog traffic. While this does mean that the van can travel on the first lane when necessary, it does not excuse the Toyota Hiace driver's reckless actions. Even though tailgating is not technically illegal, the consequences of a serious accident caused by tailgating could result in the driver's license being suspended, a large fine and demerit points, and even jail time. Netizens' reactions I'm not sure if the van is modified but it is true that drivers are getting more and more daring these days. 😱 Honestly, this sounds like a great idea but I doubt that would stop vans and other commercial vehicles from speeding. 😓 We wish the motorcyclist a speedy recovery (no pun intended) and that the van driver learns his lesson from speeding and tailgating on the expressway. For the uninitiated, you may be wondering why do riders practice lane-splitting? Well, at least according to riders, lane-splitting is a safer way of riding. However, what many riders are unaware of is that lane-splitting is only safer if performed PRUDENTLY. Watch this video to see how this rider's practice of lane-splitting put himself in great danger: Notoriously Narrow Lanes This incident occurred along the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) towards Seletar Expressway (SLE). We are all aware of how narrow the two lanes are for all those who have travelled along the bend featured in the video. Furthermore, the high heavy vehicle traffic along this route makes it even more hazardous to navigate around this bend. As such, motorists often practice extra caution when travelling along this route. What happened? Within seconds of the video, a motorcyclist is seen riding in between slow-moving vehicles. While in between 2 vehicles, the rider seemed to have panic-braked due to his inability to squeeze through successfully. This resulted in the rider losing control of his motorcycle and hitting both vehicles to his side. Fortunately for the rider, he managed to avoid being involved in a potential freak accident. Does this truck driver even have a proper license? There seems to be a high influx of road accidents recently, with a majority of victims being motorcyclists. In this baffling video, a motorcyclist appears to properly form up after noticing the stationary camcar at a traffic junction. Riding in front of a large truck, the biker starts to slow down. To his dismay, the truck behind him fails to brake in time and continues travelling at a high speed. This leads to a series of unfortunate events as the truck hits the motorcyclist, flinging him off his bike before crashing into the stationary camcar. Luckily, the rider manages to avoid his death after the impact as he immediately stands up and throws his hands in a "WTF?" manner. The biker then walks to the front of the road, where the truck supposedly should be. Upon witnessing this shocking accident, other drivers got out of their vehicles to help the motorcyclist and his bike. Truck had a trade plate The video description states that the truck carries a trade plate, which is a temporary number plate for unlicensed vehicles. It is a possibility that the vehicle could be new and have yet to be registered or it's just being brought for testing on the road. An eerily similar incident in Malaysia Many were quick to point out that this accident was eerily similar to one that happened a few days ago in Malaysia. Just like the motorcyclist accident, a tipper truck was unable to stop as it approached a junction filled with stationary vehicles. As a result, a yellow taxi in front of the truck was completely crushed and several other cars were pushed off the road in a serious chain collision. Biker whacks side mirror of innocent Mazda 6 like an angry cat

With a torrential rainstorm hitting Singapore yesterday, drivers experienced high tensions as they braved the rain during the morning peak hours. One driver, however, was not so lucky and did not escape the wrath of a motorcyclist. As the first few seconds of this video rolled by, I was already irritated by the sight of the slow-moving vehicles crawling their way through the underpass along Farrer Road. However, when the motorcyclist lined himself beside the Mazda just before entering the underpass, I knew something interesting was going to happen. As the motorcyclist unsuccessfully attempted to lane-split, he found himself stuck behind the black Mazda 6 throughout the entire underpass. Presumably annoyed that the congested roads did not open for him, the motorcyclist crept close to the Mazda to squeeze through the tiny gaps in between the lanes. Unable to get his way, the angry biker zoomed past the car once the roads were clearing up and expressed his emotions with an angry whack to the Mazda 6's side mirror. Very much like this angry cat here. What is lane-splitting? Just in case you were lost earlier when I mentioned it. Defined as 'riding a bicycle or motorcycle between roadway lanes of vehicles driving in the same direction', it is common for motorcyclists to perform lane splitting in slow-moving traffic. The main argument for this act is because lane-splitting prevents motorcycles from overheating. When a running motorcycle is at a standstill or edging forward for an extended period, the vehicle heats up quickly. Hence, riders must keep moving, even in congested traffic. However, lane-splitting is incredibly inconsiderate to other road users. Although it is tolerated by traffic laws when done safely, it puts the motorcyclist at a higher risk of getting crushed by a larger vehicle. Unless there is adequate space in between lanes, riders should avoid lane-splitting at all costs. Instead, the best way to manoeuvre through congested roads would be to practice care and anticipation. Better to stay safe than sorry! Motorcyclist crashes through rear windshield on PIE chain collision

A chain collision occurred on the PIE expressway earlier today (9 June) at around 8:45 a.m., with a motorcyclist seen crashing through the rear windshield of a car with his legs sticking out. Besides the motorcyclist, four other vehicles seemed to be involved in the collision. While the specific details of the accident are still unknown, the video's description indicated that the lanes in both directions of the expressway were shortly closed afterwards. With an increasing number of chain collision accidents happening locally, it is important for all drivers to be alert and cautious on the road. It is better to be safe than sorry. We hope that everyone involved in the accident is okay. Further information and updates regarding the accident will be posted in this article. Update: According to Mothership, it has been reported that the motorcyclist and a woman who was riding pillion on the same vehicle has unfortunately passed on from their injuries. Bentley driver with bad overtaking skills swipes motorcyclist on CTE

Here's a case of bad driving judgement gone wrong. Spotted on ROADS.sg facebook page - this red Bentley Continental blocked by a road hogger on CTE towards the City on 18/4/21. The impatient driver overtakes by filtering two lanes to the left but realises that the lane leads off the expressway. In a flash, the driver signals and swerves back to the right and smacks into the innocent bike on the centre lane. Thankfully the cam car managed to catch the Bentley driver in the act. Motorcyclist vigilante stops van driver from a hit-and-run with a cyclist

A round of applause for this true motorcyclist vigilante. We need more of such road users in Singapore to bring bad drivers to justice. In a recent SGRV Facebook video post, a cyclist can be seen cycling along Bukit Timah Road sometime at night when out of nowhere, a white Toyota Hiace van knocks the cyclist down. Seeing this, the motorcyclist kicked his bike into action and chased the van down to block its path. After which, he even called in the Police. According to the screenshot of the Police report in the video, the van driver claimed that he noticed that he had hit something but 'did not saw anything'. Seeing how the van driver failed his breathalyser test that was conducted after the incident, its no wonder he didn't see anything. He was arrested on the spot by the Police. Here's the full video. Hello nieces and nephews, Uncle Koba here! Today we have a half-baked driver who got captured by beh chia lor Facebook page. She realised that she left her iPhone at home and decided to make a swift three-point-turn where it is so quick that hit onto the motorcyclist who is going in the same direction as her. Okay, then the next thing happens. Watch the video and I shall comment. Aiyo. This is disappointing. Why you turn out like this! Why you never even check your side mirror? Your car so expensive, why you cannot add on blind-spot monitoring system into the car. Uncle Koba so angry. Uncle Koba wants to make this video Viral. She only "check out" on the motorcyclist after the accident happens. Haiyooo. I feel so bad for the motorcyclist, his bike and also the content inside the food panda bag (somebody gonna gets hungry today) So nieces and nephews drive safely and do remember to check out the blind spot when you are driving. -
Alright, people, yes, Singapore has a lot of rules. Some questionable, others necessary. But if the road you're on has clear demarcation and signs saying "NO OVERTAKING", the signs are there for a reason, people. And more often than not, the video has brought us back to one of the most infamous roads in Singapore, South Buona Vista Road. Also known as "99 Bends" or "gao zhup gao wan", this road has seen many an accident over the years. Every corner is more or less a blind corner, and it is nigh impossible to see who or what is coming the other way until it is too late, so it is only more than expected that the stretch where the road is the windiest has double white lines to indicate no overtaking at all times, and multiple signs along the road to also remind road users not to overtake until the road switches back to a single white line. Most people get the message. Emphasis on most people. As seen in the video, the motorcyclist suddenly overtakes the car from the right, crossing the double white line, and proceeds to channel his inner Valentino Rossi as he takes the corner at speed. Once again, he crosses the double white line. Only this time, there is another motorcyclist coming the other way, which he most probably didn't realise until it was too late. Mr MotoGP ends up losing control of his bike and crashes into the other motorcyclist who was just minding his own business. Come on people, if you want to do something stupid, keep the injuries to yourself, and not hurt other people in the process. Apparently this guy didn't get the memo, as he gave the lady in the car a good shock too when he crashed, as heard from the shriek in the video. Rules, people. They are there for a reason, and sometimes it won't hurt just to listen to them. For all you know, it could mean the difference between life and death. -
This is why, in driving school, the instructors are always going on and on and on about checking for oncoming traffic when making a discretionary right turn, because you never know who or what might be coming from the other side. At the junction of North Coast Road and Woodlands Ave 9, this motorcyclist unfortunately did forget what he learned in driving school, seeing as he took off without fully checking if there were any other oncoming vehicles. Thankfully for him, his bike seemed to take the brunt of the impact, even though the rider did go flying in the air a little. He even is able to look up after landing beside the taxi. The taxi also seems to have slowed down just enough before impact. Sometimes, taking those extra few seconds to check for oncoming traffic while making a discretionary turn won't hurt. Especially if your view of oncoming traffic is blocked by a large vehicle. Better late than injured or worst, right?

We have no idea what to make of this. Shot on the 3rd of October 2020 at the junction of East Coast Road and Siglap Road, an accident occoured between a blue Mazda3 and a couple of motorcyclists. As we can see from the video posted by SG Road Vigilante, the Mazda simply veered slowly out of his lane before crashing into a Deliveroo and McDonalds delivery rider who were waiting to do a right turn at the junction. We are ashamed to say with it happening all very leisurely, the whole incident did looked slightly funny. Our apologies! Could the driver have fallen asleep while driving slowly or was he just playing with his phone and not concentrating on where he was going?

Fatal accident could spell the end of the discretionary right-turn!

A video showing a white car failing to check for oncoming traffic while doing a right turn has gone viral. Unfortunately, the consequences were unpleasant as a Foodpanda motorcyclist was killed in the process. The motorcyclist, a 41-year-old deliveryman from Malaysia, was unconscious when help arrived and eventually succumbed to his injuries at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. He was reported to have been thrown 30 metres due to the impact and suffered brain injuries as a result. According to Stomp, the accident took place at the junction of Toh Guan Road and Boon Lay Way at 7.58pm on the 10th of March. The 36-year old Mercedes-Benz driver has been arrested for dangerous driving causing death. There has been a debate that discretionary right-turn junctions should be abolished as there has been an increase in accidents related to it. Could this signal an end to such junctions?- 3 comments

The police are investigating a traffic accident involving a motorcycle and a car along Boon Lay Way in the direction of Upper Jurong Road last Saturday morning. The rider, 48-year-old Mohd Kassim Mohd Yusof, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The driver involved, a 37-year-old man, has been arrested for causing death by a rash act. Mr Kassim's family told The Straits Times on Monday that he was on the way back from his night shift when the accident took place. The driver in the video jammed brake due to the front vehicle jammed brake suddenly. A motorcyclist was thrown over the car together with his bike n had a hard land on the ground becos the car behind the motorcyclist crushed on the motorcyclist n threw him n his bike over the car in front of him. Can imagine how harsh is the collision. The poor motorcyclist was seriously injured. Can Singapore traffic police stop doing all the surprise speed trap to prevent such accident to happen again. This is not the first time such incident happened. At least put a speed trap warning sign to warn all motorist to prevent all these deadly stupid mistake. I guess he was looking at the green lights at the next junction, but actually they had been green for a while already, not like they just changed to green. Thought I was about to witness a tragedy when I saw the motorcyclist approaching at speed.
