Infiniti is the luxury car division under the Japanese automaker Nissan and as of Tuesday, 30th April 2013, Hong Kong citizens, especially those Infiniti fans out there, could be grateful as Infiniti has officially opened its first showroom in the country. Known as the Infinity Gallery, the showroom was officially opened by Johan de Nysschen, President, Infiniti Motor Company Ltd., and Donald Yip, CEO, Dah Chong Hong Limited. Dah Chong Hong Limited is a local dealership that Infiniti has partnered in Hong Kong. The opening of the showroom saw the Essence, the latest sleek concept car from Infiniti, receiving the spotlight. For your information, the Infiniti Essence was also introduced to the public for the very first time in China. Besides the concept car, the showroom opening also saw a famous local actress and model, Jennifer Tse in the spotlight, posing right next to the car. According to Nysschen, the opening of the Infinity Gallery marked Infiniti's latest milestone that with a total of 50 markets all over the world. This first ever Infiniti showroom in Hong Kong is situated at 10 Harcourt Road, G/F Hutchinson House, near Hong Kong's business centre. So, for those that live in Hong Kong, what are you waiting for? The ever popular movie 'The Fast and the Furious' is about to come to its 6th installment. As a matter of fact, you'll be witnessing 'Fast and Furious 6' on the silver screen worldwide starting May 24th. As always, we've got used to sports, exotic, and tuned cars in the series. However, we've never got to see a BMW M5 in them in spite of what the car has to offer. With that being said, it's about time the model makes its debut. So, in this 6th installment, besides other very interesting cars, there'll be around a dozen of BMW M5s. Nonetheless, don't expect to see the current model as all those 12 cars will be the V10-revving E60 model. Personally, I think the model looks attractive even when it is in a complete standstill mode, not to mention when it is involved in a highly intense full throttle action thriller. The design cues are attractive, both on the front and rear fascias, so attractive that some people in Indonesia even nicknamed it 'the eagle eye'. Unfortunately, according to 'Fast and Furious 6' Car Coordinator, Dennis McCarthy, the person in charge of setting up the cars for you to see on the big screen, most of the 'eagle eyes' had to be destroyed while filming. Father charged by police after allowing son drive a Ferrari

Do you remember seeing a video of an Indian boy driving a Ferrari some time ago on this blog? Well, in case you forget, the boy is the child of a man who is, frankly speaking, very well off. Mind you, he possesses a Bentley, Lamborghini, and a Ferrari - which is the problem this time around. The boy in question was only 9-years old when the video of him driving a Ferrari F430 was taken. Amusingly, it was his father, Mohammed Nisham, who recorded the video and even uploaded it to YouTube! Heck, his father must have, somehow, felt proud of his son's actions. Let me tell you, if I were him, there would have been no way I allowed the kid drive a car, let alone a supercar, man! Not only could the kid have run over someone to his/her death, but there were also alot of other potential accidents. For your information, the car has 500bhp under its hood which is, obviously, too much for a child to handle. However, quite miraculously, though, the 9-year old boy managed to avoid hitting anyone or anything. I used the word miraculous as the kid could barely see anything over the dashboard. Nisham let his son cruise in his aforementioned supercar in his residential area, which seems to be inhabited by wealthy people. Honestly, I didn't even realise that it was India in the first place. Nevertheless, it was only a matter of time before the local police department found out about the video and when they did, they decided to charge Nisham. The father of the child was convicted for encouraging underage driving as well as allowing a child without a driving license to manoeuver a car on a public road. Nisham told the police that he did that only to grant his son's birthday wish as the child had pleaded for months for his dad's permission to drive the red car. All the same though, police still considered the action as disturbing as it was irresponsible. I agree with the police in this case, Nisham shouldn't have tried to grant every single wish his child may have, even on his birthday. You're a father, pal, which means you should be wiser instead. It was also figured that the 9-year old kid had also driven Nisham's other cars, such as the Bentley and Lamborghini mentioned earlier. The sports coupe to succeed the 350Z from the Japanese automaker Nissan, the 370Z, was officially unveiled for the European market back in 2012, during the Paris Motor Show. However, the model has now made it into the spotlight, again, with Nissan announcing an imminent launch of a facelifted version of the 370Z in China. Like its predecessor, the Nissan 370Z facelift maintains its sporty look. In fact, it looks a bit sportier and more luxurious now with a new front bumper, revised front end, and also a pair of vertical LED daytime running lights, the latter being the trend in the present day automotive market. However, expect no increase or decrease when it comes to performance as Nissan will not make any alteration to the engine. That said, the Nissan 370Z maintains a 3.7-litre V6 engine capable of spitting out 324bhp of total power output. Thanks to this engine, the car is able to go from a complete standstill to a speed of 100km/h in no more than five and a half seconds. For the facelift, Nissan is offering two new colours - Midnight Blue and Magma Red. Personally, I would choose the Magma Red over other colours as I think the car looks stunningly wonderful in it. Of course, apart from the colours, you also get to choose whether you want to drive in a coupe or to feel the air blowing on your hair. For the coupe version of the Nissan 370Z facelift, you'll have to pay 608,000 Chinese yuan (S$121,000). As for the roadster version, you'll have to spend a total of 668,000 Chinese yuan (S$134,000). Of course, you can only get the car at those prices in China, at least for now.

Believe it or not, the Nissan Micra (sold as the March here) has been sold in the U.K. for the past 30 years and Nissan aims to celebrate with new offers. Call me evil or unprofessional, but as soon as I read the news I could not help but head to YouTube to find the above clip. If you are a Micra owner - in that colour hue especially - I meant no disrespect. You know what they say, "Do whatever you want, just don't get caught!" Unfortunately (or thankfully, perhaps), these teenage car thieves in the United Kingdom don't seem quite knowledgeable about such a saying. Instead, these thieves just seemed so proud of their 'stealing' ability that they even shot pictures of themselves with the cars they had successfully stolen. What amazes me more is that they even posted the pictures on Facebook, a world renowned social media, and on their phones! This led the local police to catch them red-handed, or should I say, 'bread-handed' (you'll see why). It's a real 'shame' to the world of Grand Theft Auto. Speaking of Grand Theft Auto, it reminds me of the action adventure packed car theft game, the latest trailer of which will be shown on 30th April 2013. Alright, let's get back to topic. To be honest with you, these teenagers, aged from 18-23 years old, were quite an expert indeed. I bet you don't get to see that much when a traffic police officer goes against a scooter running at what seems to be a full speed. Honestly, it's the first time I stumbled upon such an occasion. But again, as I mentioned in the title, this is another Russian oddity. In case you haven't noticed, the Russians seem the best to go for when you're looking for some odd mishaps - you might want to check out this Hummer video as well. There's no exact word on what reason the police officer had in mind when he intended to stop the scooter. Most likely, though, the scooter rider had violated some traffic laws. Nevertheless, it seems that the Russians should teach their police officers a better way of stopping someone, especially one who's driving or riding on a vehicle. So, thing is, the police officer tried to stop the fast running scooter head on and I fail to figure out why this method seemed preferable to the officer in question. It's out of the question that this might as well lead to death or, at least, massive body injuries (you can see the officer finding it hard to get up in the video). Fortunately, the police officer didn't cause the scooter rider to lose his life. Had he done so, instead of enforcing the law, he would have had to go to prison. You know, instead of trying to tackle the scooter head on, the police officer could have achieved the very same result - yet with less risk of injuries, at least to himself - by stepping away from the scooter and kicking it hard sideways, preferably into the vehicle's front wheel. In that way, the runaway rider would be likely to lose his front wheel and would have been the only one to suffer from injuries. The officer, on the other hand, wouldn't have suffered from any at all and would still manage to stop both the scooter and the rider quite effectively. However, again, you can see in the video that, thanks to the officer's weird and ridiculous decision (at least so it seems to me), it happened the other way round. The scooter rider seemed unscathed at all while the officer, as I said earlier, could barely get back on his feet.

If you're a fan of cars and races, I bet you would love to play GRID 2, a racing game developed by Codemaster. The game is set to hit the shelves in over a month's time now. That said, it isn't hard to see why the developers are keeping their lips sealed tightly. However, it seems like they just can't resist giving us some insights into the multiplayer aspect of the game, which is quite interesting, I would say. The multiplayer mode (shown in the accompanying video) in the game is a good way of showing off your racing skills to 11 other competitiors on the same track as you. Switzerland motorsport specialists Carrosserie Saurer are no strangers to customised vehicles and have created exceptional examples of automotive styling and engineering. One such example is this 1975 Maserati Merak by Saurer that will be on auction on the 17th May at the Silverstone Auctions hosted International Trophy Sale. Jaguar's short dramatic film on F-type premieres at Sundance London

Today, media at Sundance London was the first to see the global premiere of 'Desire', the short dramatic film by Jaguar in collaboration with Ridley Scott Associates (RSA). The film stars British actor Damian Lewis, an Emmy and Golden Globe winner, together with Spanish actor Jordi Molla and American actress Shannyn Sossamon were there to grace the event. The short film was shown for the first time at The O2, after the festival's opening press conference, which attracted media from all over the world. The film director Adam Smith, introduced the film and described the project as a real adventure - a story of betrayal, retribution, passion and greed. "Working with Damian, Shannyn and Jordi has genuinely been a privilege. To see actors of that calibre at work and to watch them contribute massively to the development of their own characters really brought them to life, which has all together made this an incredible film to be a part of," added Adam Smith. Caspar Delaney, the Producer of Desire, described the shoot location, Chile's Atacama Desert, as being perfect for the film and claimed it to be one of the most spectacular landscapes and locations in the world. Acura presents three models in Shanghai including the global debut for one

Acura formally debuted its SUV-X design concept at the Shanghai Motor Show - a global concept vehicle for a small SUV that is targeted mainly for the Chinese market. This is the first in Acura's 27-year long history, it has globally introduced a new concept outside of North America. Emotional and sharp styling and driving performance, together with the environmental performance of a small vehicle and excellent utility of an SUV are all fused together at a high level in this vehicle. Acura is planning to begin local production and sales in China of a mass-production model based on this concept vehicle for its market in about the next three years. Sadly no technical details were unveiled. "We are planning to produce the mass-production model of the Acura Concept SUV-X locally in China. With the hope that our Chinese customers will more closely feel the values offered from Acura, we will begin preparing for the start of the local production. In China, where dynamic growth continues, both Acura and Honda will keep up our efforts to enhance products and technologies that will offer new joys of mobility to our customers," said Takanobu Ito, President & CEO of Honda Motor Co., Ltd. On top of the SUV-X design concept, the Chinese market Acura RLX was also announced. The RLX is a luxury flagship sedan which will go on sale in China in June 2013. Excellent manoeuvrability and comfort are pursued through the adoption of a number of advanced technologies including a newly developed 3.5-litre SOHC i-VTEC V6 engine and Precision All-Wheel Steer - the world's first technology to achieve both outstanding turning performance and vehicle stability. The well received next generation NSX concept was also on display which made its debut at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in January. -
We know that the MPV market in China is dominated by commercial vehicles instead of passenger cars. Honda sees this, too, which is why it's developed the Honda Concept M. Sketched by Honda designers at Honda's Automobile R&D Centre in the land of the rising sun, the Honda Concept M has been developed mainly for the Chinese market and has now been officially launched in the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show. According to Honda, the Concept M is a next generation MPV that will offer an added value by realising a spacious as well as comfortable cabin. The Honda Concept M looks sporty and futuristic in front. It sports a pair of slanted headlamps and a large front grille that extends to the front bumper and is surrounded by chrome accents. A sporty design can also be sensed from the design of the front bumper. On its sides, the body curves and sloping roofline make the car look dynamic. In addition to that, its side mirrors sport a futuristic slim design. Last but not least, the sharp edges on the rims emphasise the sportiness of the car even further. At the rear, the car looks luxurious with its combination taillights that are likely to feature LED bulbs. Honda has also equipped the car with a rear roof spoiler. Just like the front fascia, the rear also gets treated with chrome accents. The Japanese automaker is planning to release the car next year. Unfortunately, aside from that, Honda is currently pretty tight lipped regarding the details of the Honda Concept M. As for now, you may want to watch the video below to see the car in action.

If you happen to be quite well off or have some spare savings, it might be a good idea to consider staying at China. The economy in the country keeps growing positively that it has become a good place to live in. This has been proven even further with the recent huge investment by Volkswagen (VW) and the fact that the South Korean automaker KIA has now launched a new brand targeted specifically at the Chinese market. The brand is known as Horki and comes under parent company KIA. What we know is that, in Mandarin, 'Hor' or 'He' means together whereas 'Ki' or 'Qi' means air or atmosphere. And the word as a whole, means 'harmony'. Well, that makes sense to us as we think the first Horki concept vehicle looks dynamic indeed. For now, there's only one model that KIA is building for the brand Horki. Of course, we believe that there'll be more models later on. The model has yet to receive its official name but it is based on the platform also used by the KIA Forte. However, this doesn't necessarily mean that the first Horki model borrows design cues from the KIA Forte. As a matter of fact, from what we can see as far as design is concerned, this Horki concept vehicle doesn't have any similar design from any of KIA models. Slated for a 2015 release date in the Chinese automotive market, the first Horki model looks aggressive as well as sleek. Ferrari FF joins the Aventador to cruise the streets of Dubai

Just four days ago, I wrote of the Dubai Police Department adding the Chevrolet Camaro and the million dollar Lamborghini Aventador as a cop 'cruiser' car. Now another set of wheels from another Italian marque joins the Aventador, in its quest to cruise around the affluent city streets to promote the area's image as a mecca for money - The Ferrari FF. The FF is a two-door, four-wheel drive shooting brake which sits four in some of the finest leather offered by the Maranello factory. If memory serves, the FF was an attempt by Ferrari to answer customers' calls for a family cruiser that is suitable for most weather, rain or snow with comfort with adequate boot space for your ski equipment. It measures 4,907mm long, sits 1,953mm wide and stands 1,379mm tall and is powered by a 6.3-litre NA V12 - akin to the F12berlinetta - which produces 651 prancing Italian horses and 683Nm of torque good for a 335km/h top speed. -
The economy in China is indeed growing well and this has determined the British automaker Rolls-Royce to open its largest showroom in the country. Rolls-Royce plans to build a showroom in the capital city of Shenyang and the facility will have two storeys, measuring 1,200 square metres in total. According to Henrik Wilhelmseyer, Rolls-Royce's regional director for China, the British automaker will work in collaboration with China's Shenyang Hong Lu Ming Zun in building its largest showroom in the world yet. What makes things even more interesting is that Rolls-Royce will make its China showroom special, because this year, the company is also celebrating the 10th anniversary of Rolls-Royce's rebirth. This was confirmed by Wilhelmseyer, mentioning that this was a very special year as it would mark 10 years of the brand's renaissance at its new home in Goodwood, England. If all goes well and the British automaker actually builds its largest showroom in China, don't be surprised to see even more people turn millionaires, if not billionaires, in the country.

Being the co-founder of the world's biggest search engine definitely has the potential to give you the financial freedom beyond your imagination. This is what happened to Sergey Brin, the co-founder of Google. As a matter of fact, he should even be able to afford a whole country - though probably not a big one - thanks to his net wealth of around $23 billion. This American scientist - who was actually born in the Soviet Union - also co-owns two units of private jets, complete with NASA equipment on them. He co-owns those jets with the Google founder himself, Larry Page. Yet, what attracts us more this time is Brin's Tesla Model S. Taking into account that Brin is an early investor in the automaker that builds the car and that he also believes strongly in renewable energy, there's no wonder Brin owns the aforementioned car. However, what we do wonder is why Brin would cover his car in pink - he's not Katie Price. Well, it's not that only Katie may own pink covered cars. You know, she's famous for her pink cars, one of which is her pink Range Rover. As it turned out, it was Google staffs that converted Brin's Tesla into a Batmobile of some sort. The car has a Batman logo on it in addition to protruding Batman rear wings and some long eyelashes for the headlamps. Google Chrome logo can also be seen on the weird looking set of rims. The staffs at Google did that to play an April Fool's Day joke on their boss. Fortunately, Brin took the humour in a good way. In fact, he even took the car for a spin! Well, it seems like Brin is quite a humourous person. But that joke would damage Brin's car, wouldn't it? Well, fortunately, the pranksters only used pink vinyl instead of paint to cover the car in pink. With that being said, there is nothing for Brin to worry about as the damage is not permanent and is easy to revert as well. The pranksters also mentioned that they chose Batmobile because they worked at Google's 'X' project division and that they, at Google, often thought of the division as a 'bat cave'. For your information, the Google's 'X' project division is the division in charge of Google's most visionary ideas and products, one example of which is the Google Glass. What a joke at Google it is!

Following the step of its German rival, Mercedes-Benz, BMW will also launch an exclusive 5 Series lineup that only the Japanese can get their hands on. The premium German automaker will be offering sedan and touring variants for the BMW 5 Series Exclusive Sport Edition. The Japanese can choose a 2.0-litre diesel or a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine for both variants. These exclusive 5 Series will be limited to only 300 units, featuring a complete M-Sport package for its exterior. Meanwhile, on the interior, customers will get the comfort from a three-spoke M steering wheel, sports seats wrapped in Cinnamon Brown leather material, a Heads-Up Display, an upgraded audio system and a lot more to mention. If you're a fan of BMW and are lucky enough to be living in Japan, we think you might want to add this limited edition model to your collection. You can take it home for an exchange of something between 7,190,000 to 7,490,000 Japanese Yen. After all, you won't find the BMW 5 Series Exclusive Sport Edition in other countries or when the model is sold out - it's limited to 300 units only, remember?

Video of young boy driving a Ferrari F430 in India surfaces

This guy might own a Ferrari F430, but he clearly does not know how to record a video. Nonetheless, this rather interesting video of a young kid piloting a F430 around a (thankfully) empty neighbourhood in India with an even younger passenger who is probably his brother - has surfaced on the webosphere. As mentioned earlier, the video is really shaky - much worse than the movie Cloverfield, but after watching, I have a couple of questions - Is the father a bad parent for letting his young son drive a Ferrari? Whatever reasons the father has for his actions, I don't reckon it was a wise move to record the video. And even if he decide to, perhaps keeping it personal instead of publicising it would have been better. And aren't you guys surprised the kid actually managed to drive quite well? I mean he can barely see out of the windscreen yet he could control, brake and move over speed humps well. For me, I'm quite on the fence. I am rather surprised the kid didn't crash the car, and controlled the 483bhp car rather well. I mean when I was his age, I could barely drive proper on my PlayStation. Despite this, if the father really wanted to let his son experience the power of Italian exotics he shouldn't have recorded a video to publicise it to the entire world. You know what they say - do what you want, just don't get caught. I wonder what happens when a Ferrari employee watches the video. Maybe they should consider the kid as a young race driver. On a side note, couldn't the kid wear something nicer than that Ben 10 sleeveless tee? He is an Internet star after all. -
