  1. From Punggol to Shenton Way, like in HK or Hollywood movie, chased by police, cruise through highway and tried to siam the police, nice try But does it take too long to stop this guy??? http://ride.asiaone.com/news/general/story...gol-shenton-way A 31-year old Singaporean driver had two police vehicles hot on his wheels in a 15km high-speed chase on Monday night, which spanned from around Punggol West to Shenton Way. He was eventually nabbed for driving while under disqualification, and for his rash act.
  2. The 1972 classic film - Godfather - was set during the 1940s and 50s and it featured numerous classic vehicles. Two of the cars used in the movie are set to be auctioned off next month at the Bonhams Scottsdale auction. The pair of Lincoln Continentals that will be auctioned off are of two different variants. One is a Continental Limousine and the other one a Continental Coupe. The Lincoln Continental Limousine was used in the movie's wedding scene and also used by the enemies of the Corleone family. Only 295 units of this variant was built in the 1940s and this will give people an idea of how rare and exclusive this variant is. The Continental Limousine was fitted with a V12 engine and it is mated to a three speed manual transmission with overdrive. The car was restored before filming began and the current owner has kept it in a climate-controlled storage area ever since he got it. The other car is a Continental Coupe which was used in one of the movie
  3. This highly rated movie is being released today, not sure if anyone if watching and care to give reviews. From the trailer, I guess the movie should have nice CGI. However, I heard it is based on a rather spiritual book so I am afraid the script might be quite boring.

Any bros can recommend me a good DVD movie rental shop in Raffles Place area? I used to rent from Power Video at 3rd floor OUB Plaza...but now the shop had moved (to don't know where) as the Plaza undergo renovations.... Cos I usually watch movies at home...with whole family, more worth it than all go to the cinema.
  6. [extract] For those who are familiar with the fictional world of Marvel comic books, you would know who Red Skull is. The Red Skull was a former Nazi officer, a member of HYDRA (fictional terrorist organisation) and he is also the archenemy of superhero, Captain America. In the 2011 feature film, Captain America, Red Skull
  7. [extract] Many movie buffs will remember the 1979 australian movie Mad Max which stars actor, Mel Gibson. With its post apocalyptic setting, the movie featured a variety of vehicles and one of them is the black

  9. Most of the time, in action movies, we get to see a car (or vehicle) explosion. Usually it is from a nudge from another car and the nudged car flips, lands and explode or from a simple but accurate gunshot to the fuel tank. It looks as though cars get blown up very easily in movies. But, in reality, that is not the case. In fact, you could shoot a bullet through the fuel tank and the car will not explode and also, we will never get to see the kind of explosions we usually see in movies when a car is driven off a cliff. So, how are these vehicular explosions are achieved in movies? In this age of digitally made special effects, the widely preferred option when dealing with car explosions in movies is to do a real live explosion. Digitally made explosions still look very artificial and a real fireball looks simply stunning. This was explained by Drew Jiritano of DJFX, a professional New York special effects company. But to film an effective explosion is not as easy as it seems.

  15. Imagine what you can do by cutting some of the most exciting film car chases ever: an absolutely amazing video clip of 11-and-a-half. This video was published by BlueYoda2 on Yotube and is called: Chasing Trinity part 2: BIGGEST CAR CHASE EVAR. We have Trinity, from Matrix, Sean Connery and Nicolas Cage from the Rock, Matt Damon as Jason Bourne, and Will Smith in Bad Boys II, the result is explosive to say the least. Here is the plot according to the author: The story thus far: Will Smith is chasing Trinity after she tries an escape with the secret documents. Sean Connery is not far behind and Nicolas Cage tries to keep up, but Matt Damon intervenes. For fans of car chases, here is a great video to have fun with. Check it here

for those who have not watch this army horror movie, please dun waste $$$. totally not worth it. crappy storyline and incomplete ending.
  18. The graphics is great. The first 15-20 mins seem promising. After that, I feel things get quite messy because the script is 90% new with mish-mash rojak from various Tintin comics. I think the producers were unsure whether there would be a sequel so they just throw many things into one movie. A minor and benign character becomes the main villain, Bianca Castifore and Alan are featured but strangely no Prof Calculus. Ii think they should have stayed more faithful to any one of the original comics.
  19. anyone know of any cinema that has couple seats? Does Leisure Park cinema has? Tiong Bahru GV?
  20. This monring I heard the news from MHA that our ISA is to provide something that is lacking in our laws - which will only react to situation and not preempt it. This draws me to the Movie : Minority Report where Tom Cruise goes to arrest Would-be Criminals before they commit them. Comments please.
  21. I think damn funny. A change from the usual Mark Lee.
  22. In summary it is about a boy, his fighting robot and trying to bond with his irresponsible father. It has lots of cool robots, great fighting sequences, a human story, and a david vs goliath finale. Even though the robots are just machines, the director makes it seem like they have a touch of self awareness. So when they get whacked, you really "feel the pain" Sometimes it is touching, sometimes it is funny but overall very entertaining. Can bring your kids to watch too. Atom (ah boy's robot) Zeus (Final opponent) Some other robots
