  1. Noticed this black model in KM showroom. Test drove the car. Sales rep told me that KM is doing a promotion on this 2016 model. Registration by end of May. OMV for this car is the same as Odyssey ! Still thinking.
  2. Is the new belingo a van or mpv? It looks amazing. https://www.citroen.co.uk/about-citroen/news/new-citroen-berlingo-the-story-continues-with-even-more-style-practicality-and-comfort
  3. Comparisons in the following order: 1. Voxy 2. Noah 3. Esquire
  4. Hi guys ... Is it possible to swap a non multi function steering wheel to one with multi function type.. from this type of steering wheel : http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.php?ID=735685&DL=1000 to use this type of steering wheel https://www.ebay.com/itm/232115494956?ul_noapp=true
  5. Hi all toyota wish bros, recently realised that when my '06 wish is accelerating on expressway after 70-80km/h, car starts to vibrate very very ferociously. It's like the car is travelling off road man.. Went to the WS and he said nothing's wrong with my engine. What else could the problem be? Need some serious help here, the TWCSG site is not working for me I can't even register
  6. Anyone had a chance to check out this car yet? Wondering if it could be a good alternative to the BMW 216 GT. Branding-wise obviously not comparable, but it could be good value for money with sliding doors to boot.
  7. Is this model considered the successor of Edix? Maybe not as Jade seat arrangment is 222, not 3X3 ! The interior is very nice Hope PI can bring in this model after it is launched Please click the link for more details http://www.honda.co.jp/JADE/new/?from=topbanner.
  8. Hi everyone, Starting this topic as I couldn't find one on 8-seater MPV. I am currently driving a Stream. Due to family needs, I need a 8 seater. Hope you guys could advice on the 8 seater available and the factors that you considered when buying one. Thanks. :)
  9. It seems like Kah Motor is launching this MPV car. So what is the expected price ? Is it under power and too small for 7?
  10. Need some advice regarding tires. I have the 2 tire size options, either a 285/25 or 265/30. 285/25 has only a 1% difference to my current wheels overall diameter but due to the low profile, load rating is only 95 (690kg) 265/30 has only a 3% difference to my current wheels overall diameter but due to the higher profile/sidewall, load rating is 97 (730kg) Is 285 too wide for a 9.5J rim? I'm going to fit this on a 2ton MPV so not sure if load rating 95 is going to cut it.
  11. Been thinking for a long time on which car to buy and can't arrive at a conclusion. Background: My family of 4 (including me, my wife, a toddler and an infant) is looking for a new car. I drop my toddler at school before going to work everyday. I will also fetch my parents/parents in law around maybe 2-3 times per month for outings. I drive to Malaysia (Ipoh) around 2 times per year and probably have some road trips to other places in Malaysia as well. Budget: $120k Features (good to have): Electric tailgate/boot, Keyless entry, Blindspot detection. I'm looking at only AD cars Toyota Wish, Mitsubishi Outlander and the latest Toyota Harrier Turbo (price exceeds my budget a lot but I like this car a lot and it has all the features I want) which will launch in July 2017. Not looking at Honda HRV/Vezel. 1. Toyota Wish (price is around $110k) Pros: - Spacious interior. - Fuel consumption quite ok at 12-13km/l. - Adequate power. - Budget friendly. Cons: - Dated engine. Think the Wish was last launched in 2009 or 2010 and then had a facelift 2-3 years ago. - Very basic interior. - Does not have many features. The Wish is just like a Toyota Altis with 3 rows of seats. - Does not have rear air con vents. 2. Mitsubishi Outlander (price is around $120k) Pros: - Spacious interior. - Packed with features not found in Wish. - I love driving SUV. Wife mentioned that she prefers higher cars though it's not a priority. Cons: - Bad fuel consumption. Seems like it can only achieve 8-9km/l as it's a 2.4 SUV. - Read reviews that power is lacking despite it being a 2.4 SUV. - 3rd row is not that spacious despite it being a bigger car than Wish. 3. Toyota Harrier Turbo (price is likely to be $160k) Pros: - Spacious and luxurious interior. - Powerful engine (go NSH overtaking no problem). - Fuel efficient at 10-12km/l (as achieved by Lexus NX. Harrier should get better FC). - Packed full of features which I want. - Has air con vents for 2nd row. Cons: - Burst budget big time. Will be straining my finances if I go with Harrier. - Does not have 3rd row of seats. My own thoughts so far (but welcome to have more comments and opinions): - Heart is with Toyota Harrier but wallet says no. - Wallet says go for Toyota Wish which is an outdated car with not much features. - My wife and me prefer SUV but the pricing of Wish and the interior space make us consider it. - I have been driving 2 generations of Toyota Altis (for 10 years) and 2013 Lexus RX (for 2 years) company car. Really like driving a SUV - the feel and higher driving height is really different from a sedan. - Mitsubishi Outlander seems like an in-between as it has good features but read that FC is really bad. - I intend to drive at least 5 years. If huat then change car, if bo huat then drive 10 years. What are your thoughts guys? Thanks in advance!

    Chery New MPV

I heard that Chery Singapore is going launched a new 7 seater MPV, which based on previous Chery Eastar. Malaysia is the first country selling this new MPV and China will launched on coming Monday. They are using the Eastar platform but with new exterior and interior design makeup. The suspension is tuned by Lotus. The design is not to match todays design but is something like Honda Stream. The finishing looks so much better than the previous Eastar. The dimension: 4730 x 1823 x 1590, WB 2800mm There are 2 version in Malaysia, the Standard version that begins at RM86,800 while the Premium goes for RM93,800 Read more: http://paultan.org/2015/01/26/chery-maxime-launched-in-malaysia/#ixzz3XhM9kTGC The engine and the CVT gear box has been using on current Chery Tiggo 5, a 2.0L SUV http://www.autohome.com.cn/drive/201312/679154-5.html If you can read Chinese you may click the follow link: http://www.autohome.com.cn/advice/201504/867675.html
  13. Hi, Intending to get either of these 2 cars but not willing to fork out $30k more to get from AD. Whom are the reputable PIs to recommend? Thanks!
  14. New Nissan Serena 2017..impressive, will definitely give the current MPVs a run for their money. Hopefully Tan Chong can bring it in....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ba8ixpz9-LA
  15. May want to upgrade to a MPV for my next ride and am considering this 4 mid-size conti diesel-powered Cat A MPV which I have viewed them all but couldnt made up my mind. Reason for going Diesel is because I figured out over a distance of 100k km, the saving in pump cost is much greater as compared to the higher road tax which I may have to pay for a diesel-powered 1.6L MPV (making comparison with mid-size petrol powered MPV like Wish/Mazda 5). Furthermore, driving up North is something which i seldom do. Based on personal observation, Touran is the one which i spotted most often on the roads (though they may be the petrol variant and not neccessary the diesel variant) Any views from current owners or anyone who has an opinion? I'm trying to guess which MPV is the best value for money or best bang for bucks over a period of say 8yrs.
  16. Watch this awesome video. Police stop one bakery van in China and surprised by the content of the van http://youtu.be/YRNfx1B1WNo
  17. Just bought odyssey from dealer, driving for 1 month, fuel consumption is about 8.8 km/L. Regular route - Bukit panjiang to Buona vista, sometimes highway during weekend. Is this normal? or I am too weak ;(.
  18. Hi all, Happy New Year. Anyone knows if PML will be bringing in this model ?
  19. i intend to change my father ride from 730Li to a 7 seater SUV. x5 Q7 XC90 fortuner GL450 Land Rover Discovery btw, i am talking about the old USED cars to keep costs low. of these, which is the better one with reliability being highest priority. reason is because my father really really really hate a car to breakdown leaving him stranded. thanks for any input.
  20. Read in afew different threads that there are quite a few mcf forumers like myself who are looking to get an MPV soon.. Starting this thread to share our findings and perhaps there may be enough like minded brothers out there for a group buy, with stronger bargaining powers since unity and numbers are strength : ) First off, anyone seriously considering the following : 1. Toyota Wish 2. Chevy Orlando 3. Mazda Biante 4. Opel Zafira
  21. Well, some of my insider sources suggest that the pricing of the Toyota Avanza 1.5 which they will be bringing in within this year is benchmarked against the VW Touran 1.4 TSI. Considering that the likelihood of the Avanza's OMV to be less than $20k is very high, it is quite laughable that Borneo Motors' & Toyota's head are still up in the clouds to conceptualize such a pricing, especially in today's COE climate. Its seriously a no-brainer to choose the Touran over the Avanza. The Avanza has the virtues for being a very simple vehicle, armed with a primitive 4-speeder auto-box with an equally anemic 1.5 litre engine. The Touran on the other hand is much more well-built with up-to-date drivetrain (7 DSG), engine (1.4 twincharged) and safety equipment. Even the curb weight difference is telling (1410 kg vs 1095kg)... The question is will you buy a $100k+++ mini-MPV meant for developing markets such as Indonesia and Philippines? For sure i won't...
  22. http://auto.sina.com.cn/newcar/x/2016-09-07/detail-ifxvqctu6465222.shtml?cre=sinapc&mod=g&loc=8&r=15&doct=0&rfunc=56&tj=none It basically says the new generation will be be based on EMP2 and debut on 29th Sep in Paris Auto show.
  23. Friend looking for a mid size MPV for family of 4, occasion 6 pax Eyeing Honda Oddessy, Toyata Estima and Madza 5 or Biante. Which one is best bang for buck and errrrrr best for banging (this one I ask one)... He only want AD ride....
  24. Hi that, anyone have experience with the mentioned subject interm of price, performance and fuel consumption? I'm trying to gather feedback on these PI cars. Thank you very much. Regards,
