  3. Hi all. Just to share that I went in JB today & checked with the toll booth guy who confirmed that by May, all toll charges will only b collected by "Touch n Go" card. That means cashless payment only. So those who go in regularly better get the card soon. Can we share here where is the place to buy this card & the most convenient place to top-up this card in SG or MY. I u'stand it can b topped-up at Maybank branches in SG but does that mean we all have to open a Maybank account here just for this? Seems quite silly then.
  4. Extracted key points:- For departures, the build-up is expected to start from Wednesday evening. For arrivals, traffic is expected to be heavy over the period from Saturday to Sunday. Singaporean travellers with valid passports and who are registered with the National Registration Office can use the eIACS (Enhanced Immigration Automated Clearance System) lanes at the bus halls to clear immigration. The eIACS allows travellers to clear immigration through automated lanes within 12 seconds at no additional cost. Travellers departing Singapore by land will be able to know in advance the traffic situation at Tuas and Woodlands from the LTA's Expressway Monitoring & Advisory System (EMAS) installed along AYE and BKE respectively. They can also call the traffic information hotline at 6863-0117 or listen to TrafficWatch on the radio to find out the latest traffic conditions at the land checkpoints. You can also know the latest traffic conditions via Short Message Service (SMS) by dialling *112. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Advance Happy May Day to Everyone, celebrate it wherever it pleases you but do take precaution and have a safe trip.

  6. Anyone with any opinion on which stretch of Malaysian road is best for driving and why?
  7. Seeking advice on how to settle above if don't have credit card. How to settle and where one do not need to venture to JB? Thanks in Advance.
  8. on one of my visits to pump petrol, seems like they don't check VLT at the customs.
  9. Hi All, This is not something new. Just to highlight what happened while driving back from msia yday. Was travelling back to Singapore via 2nd link. There's this stretch of road where you are about to reach the 2nd last toll (if i rem correctly). Try not to speed along that stretch. I was travelling at about 80 - 90km per hour when there are alot of cars speeding past me at 120 - 160km per hour. Guess what happened next? There is a Police Stop about 150m just right after the toll. This toll is where most SG cars would NEED to travel if they are to go back to TUAS. I rem that there this Silver Coloured Tucson that sped past me @ 160km per hour. He was being called to one side, maybe to give kopi lui.. Please dont flame me...haha I guess..you can speed...but dont be caught for it. Moreover it's Hari Raya Soon... so they would expect more ang baos.... if you know what i mean.. :)

  11. Hi, Anyone noes what is the accident procedures when you meet with an car accident in Msia? Do we need to make a police report there? Does the procedures differ for the different insurance companies? Tks a lot
  12. Hi bro, Just came to my mind, since M'sia came to mind, since msia goin to impose RM20 for entering msia, do you think it is still worth for spore to impose 3/4 rule on all spore car, imagive, they have to standy manpower(min 2) at the counter t check all the car and cause the time to leave the checkpoint longer. But usually spore goverment will still want to earn money from the natural resources like us lah. Any opinion?
  13. wat happen when get caught with less than 3/4 tank? wat's the best timing to go in when fuel is less than 3/4 tank?
  14. Hi guys, Is it cheaper to buy motor oils from Msia? Any petrol kiosk near the causeway that opens 24 hours so that I can pop by and grab a bottle of motor oil? What kind do they sell? Do they sell AMSOIL?? Thanks
  15. Hi guys, I went out to JB just now....pumped 22L of petrol to full tank. Before I pumped, the needle at the fuel gauge was showing between 3/4 and full. The tank capacity is 60L. If 22L is required, it means more than 1/3 of the tank. But the fuel gauge is showing less than 1/4 tank. When I pumped in Singapore the previous day, the needle was around the same area and all I need is 11L to fill it to full. So is it possible for the pump attendent to cheat by pressing on the petrol nozzle, meter and $$$ running, but no petrol come out from the nozzle? To make it even more suspicious, that 22L is to fill up 100km of my drive, which works out to be 4.5km/L??
  16. Realise that there are different method of payment depending on which petrol station U visit. 1) Pump attendant pumps for U and collect $$$ from U 2) Pump attendant pumps for U and U pay at the cashier 3) U pay at the cashier first before proceeding to pump Urself Inorder to pump full tank, I can tell the pump attendant at 1 and 2. My question is, if I'm at 3, how do I go abt pumping full tank?

  18. If I want to get ICE things done, in general, where can I get a better deal? In msia or s'pore? I know for car parts, s'pore is definitely cheaper (foreign brands, not msia brand). But labour's definitely alot cheaper in msia. So any suggestions? Buy speakers, wires, blah in singapore, then go into msia to fit it? kianbeng
