Hi Folks, Need some help from those car experts here. My car uses a keyless entry/push-start button system. It is factory fitted (JDM). In the last week or so, I started having issues opening doors. Intermittently I'll have to press the door button / keys a few times before the doors will unlock. Today for the first time, my car could not even start! The key could not be detected! Finally after letting the engine rest for a couple of mins, I managed to get it started again. I've changed my key batteries. Confirmed also not the car battery since I changed it only in Feb 2012. What other possibilities are there? Also if the engine can't detect my keys again, what else can I do to get it started so that I can drive it to the workshop? Appreciate your help. Cheers!

2 questions. 1) Which company allows the use of our own routers/switches etc. (no need to use their own gateways/routers of any sort) the typical setup i want ONT----> MY OWN ROUTER----> MY OWN SWITCH-----> MY COMPUTERS. 2) Which company allows self installation of the ONT so i dont need to pay the $128. I am NOT a computer idoit.

Hi, I driving a stock Colt Plus Turbo. I had been hitting a temperature of average 90 to 95 when moving and about 95 when station. Is it normal for a turbo car? What are the advise you guys can give me? Does installing a engine coolant kit helps? Thanks

Hi, All. Need some advice and help on the matter. In August, I rented a car from Car Club (used to NTUC Car Coop). In the morning about 830am, as I was traveling along Chuo Chu Kang Road. I was on the right side of the lane. At the location opposite Phoenix LRT station, just approaching the overhead bridge, I signaled to filter to the left. As I was about to turn, suddenly I saw the motorbike zoomed by and at the same time there is vehicle in front blocking as they were queuing to turn right at the T junction in front (with traffic light), hence I slowed down. Suddenly, I felt an impact and then i realized I was rear ended by a Lime Green Kia Coupe. At this point, my vehicle already partially entered into left lane, wanting to filter in completely after the motorbike passed. Therefore, after being hit, in order to avoid further danger from the incoming left lane traffic, I turned abit back to right lane. So that the left lane traffic still got place to passed by. We went through the procedure of taking down particulars, photos. The other party wanted to settle privately as he just got into another accident just 1 or 2 weeks ago. But I told him it is not up to me as this is Car Club vehicle. I told him I wd get the person in charge to discuss with him. The Person in charge did not wish to settle privately as he said once got rear ended, they will not want to settle privately, if the reverse happens, he will then ask to settle privately. Anyway, just got a call and email from car club, saying the other party's insurance claimed that it's my fault. His story goes like this. "He was traveling on the right lane. Seeing in front has clear traffic and smooth open lane, he drove at about 60 km/hr. When he was about to turn to the outermost right lane in order to turn right at the T junction. I suddenly signaled and filter into his lane, causing him no time to stop his vehicle in time even though he e brake. That caused him to rear end my vehicle." So, it became my fault that I filtered suddenly. Now, the Car Club saying i have 2 option. 1 is to pay up $2000 and settle, close case. 2 is to fight the case, with some additional charges borne by me, at the same time, I still have to pay $2000 to them. Only if after I win the case, then only they will refund me. Sorry for such a long story. This is my first time kena and worse, it is due to fault of others. So, any advice and help will be greatly welcomed. At the same time, can I don't pay the $2000? that's quite stupid considering they have to lock up my money till don't know when.

Hi guys Am driving a 4.8m long car, and i am facing difficulty parking having switched from a smaller car I can't park once like in the past, and always have to adjust a few times especially narrow lots and parallel lots I am thinking of either adding a reverse camera or sensors in front and back Could anyone please give me some advice to what things I can do to help me park better? my friend has this rare sports car, only one in singapore, he does not dare to service it at normal workshop because he scared those mechanics not well versed with the car and later cause more problems. does anyone know any reliable workshop that loves to tinker with those rare cars, e.g. classic vintage cars, kit cars etc. the mechanic must be willing to learn and most importantly treat it with care. my friend brought it to a previous workshop the last time and the mechanic spoiled his headlight cover because he simply did not know how to open it. i cannot divulge the exact car model because it will expose my friend and he is those low profile type. all i can say is it is a continental marque. thanks for the guru's advice.

Hi bro and sis.. i know this is odd but any one of you guys travelling to Europe or UK this week and coming back in a week time? I was on outstation and had bought a few things for my wife. Unfortunately my luggage was delay and caused me to wait at the counter for nearly an hour. Due to that i could not go to the custom section to get my receipts stamp. If any of you could help do pm me and will gladly do my best to work out something for your kind gesture. Just need your help to get the receipts stamps before you leave any of the EU countries excluding Switzerland. Thank you and may your kind deeds be repaid. While inflating my tires earlier, discovered a gash at the sidewall; seems quite bad, don't know whether to replace, please refer to attached photo (sorry taken in night and low light conditions). Any bros have experience? Will visit my usual tire shop first thing tomorrow morning for assessment. Thank you.

Need some advise i had a accident on sun midnite wif a jb bike at orchard .That Malaysian biker beat the red light and smash to my car my front part and side was badly damage. Tp was call in after that police report was made and I know will be a trouble one wif a Malaysian plate.there was a taxi uncle giving info to the Tp at that time as witness that that malaysian bike beats the red light as my car had no in car cam. Yestday went to axs work shop the person told me they do not do claim against malaysia plate and he advise me will be a troublesome one. He advise me to claim from insurance 1st and of cuz my ncd. 40% will be gone and higher premier next year. He inform me that once tp close the case proven I am not at fault than axs will try to fight and claim against that Malaysian biker but will tk maybe years any bro here have better advise or had encounter this kind of claim before pls let me know thanks in advance

Any opinion if some good and expensive($100 plus) bicycle locks are need or just waste money? example: u shape steel (from trek bicycle shop) + double big chain with hardest yale lock is enough to secure 1.5k bicycle at some mrt bicycle slot near city area.

Many cars now have DVRs installed, front and back. At the customs they usually have signs that say no photo or video taking. Do you guys switch off or take out the wires of your DVRs when at the customs, singapore and malaysia side? Anyone had experienced problems, please share. Thanks.

Anyone can recommend a place for me to duplicate just the key blade (honda)? No need programming, no need remote, no need alarm system etc. Just need the cheapest possible duplicated key blade. PS: I do have the uncut blade/stem for the key, aka blank key. Thanks!
