  1. Do anyone kena summon ticket for speeding at night on Malaysia highway? It is by speed camera or road block?
  2. http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/S...ory_560829.html see la.. complain so much... now HdeeBee parking at night become $4 TO BETTER manage the demand for parking spaces at Housing Board (HDB) and Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) carparks, night parking charges will go up from $2 to $4 from Nov 1. But the current half-hour night parking rate remains at 50 cents, said the HDB and URA in a joint statment on Monday. 'Currently, most NPS carparks are heavily used due to higher parking demand. This has resulted in residents with season parking ticket facing difficulties in getting a parking space when they return home at night,' they explained. The parking charge revision will safeguard the interests of season ticket holders and better manage the parking demand at these car parks, added the HDB and URA. The night parking scheme, which provides overnight parking facilities for non-resident motorists and visitors in HDB and URA car parks, was implemented in carparks where there were adequate parking spaces to meet season parking needs. The new $4 night parking coupons will be on sale from Oct 15. Motorists holding the $2 night parking coupons can continue to use them by displaying two $2 coupons.
  3. Instead of building more carparks, or add in MSCP in matured estates, they increase night parking charges, KNN... URA/HDB genius idea
  4. For those existing night coupon, do we use two pieces instead?? http://sg.yfittopostblog.com/2010/08/03/10...arking-charges/ In a move to solve the parking space crunch around certain HDB carparks, night parking charges will be increased from $2 to $4
  5. Its at the PIE exit. I was travelling along there this morning around 6am. Pieces of the plastic barricade are all over the road. Nearly hit them.
  6. OVERNIGHT PARKING AT HDB CAR PARKS WITH NIGHT PARKING SCHEME Thank you for your email of 17 Jun 10. 2 Motorists are advised to use the night parking coupons if they need to do overnight parking as the $2 night parking coupon is designed specifically for use for night parking from 10.30 pm to 7 am the next morning. However, we do exercise flexibility on occasions where you do not have the night parking coupons ready. You may use the day coupons (e.g. 4 pieces of 50 cents or 2 pieces of $1) to make up for the $2 night parking charge. 3 The correct way to display parking coupons is to tear them all of the same time if you are using more than 1 coupon to cover the night parking charge of $2. 4 If you need any general information on general short term parking, you could visit our website : www.hdb.gov.sg. To reach the short term parking information, please go to Living in HDB flats>Car Park Facilities>Short Term Parking. 5 If you have further questions, you can contact me at Tel No. 64902347. (signed) LEW WAI LENG, PHOEBE (Ms) ADMIN EXECUTIVE for DEPUTY DIRECTOR (CAR PARKS) HOUSING ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT ****************************************************************** Alright this clears all the doubts and debates. We can use coupons of other denominations to make up $2 for night parking. But must start from the same time! Do take note for normal day parking or hourly night parking, the start time of the 2nd coupon should be at the end time of the 1st coupon so on and so forth. Not all coupons start same time ok?
  7. Is night parking coupon still required for Saturday night till Sunday? or say public holiday saturday night? I always put because what I understand is that Sunday free parking is only 7am? to 10.30pm as well? so Sunday 00:00hr to 07:00 hour still require parking coupons. Am I correct?
  8. First England - Germany match where the ball clearly crosses the line for England equaliser but was denied. To be fair, if the goal had been given, the whole outcome of the game could have been different. Then the Argentina - Mexico match. It was an exciting encounter till the first goal. First goal was a blatant offside by Tevez, and everyone knows it including the referee (they did an instant replay on the stadium screen) but because technology use is a no-no...the ref has to give the goal. Again, that affected the Mexico players somehow and they weren't the same team again. That killed the match. As a fan and spectator, I want to see a fair game that clearly shows the superiority of the winning team and not one that is plagued by bad decisions helping one team to win. That's not beautiful. That's robbery of my time and money for those who paid to watch the match. Now to clarify, I started this thread not because I lost my bet, but actually won both bets, but still, I want a fair game to all. These teams took four years of effort to be here, and it's ridiculous that they are killed by just one bad decision.
  9. and she said yes:) of course yes la.. Will be posting the video up soon ~~~sneak preview~~~
  10. Recently I have notice on the roads during night time alot of drivers did not switch on their headlights. This is pretty dangerous especially if you are driving a black color car. Other road users may not even know your presence. When they see you it maybe too late.. There are some car models like the FD Civic. Guess its becoz of the internal instrument lights auto on. so they tot they have oredi on the headlamps. N I oso notice this applies to alot of the auntie drivers.. So drivers pls on your headlamps ya..Especially at night.. Unless you are on special ops ya..
  11. It was reported in the news.. Shin Ming Daily. A 4 star hotel in city experienced blackout, leading to the calling off of a wedding banquet. To summarise, the hotel experienced power failure at 530pm. Guests started coming at around 630pm, only to discover the wedding banquet was in darkness. Guests nonetheless still sat inside the banquet in darkness. However at 8pm, hotel staff informed the couple that they were unable to restore the electrical power, alternative arrangements were made for them to transfer to another hotel in the vicinity, assuring them that buffet dinner will be made for them. Upon arrival to the alternative hotel, the buffet wasn't ready. Instead, the guests were greeted with toasted bread, as the buffet food wasn't ready. It was only till 10+pm that the buffet was ready, however the food served was equivalent of a normal home buffet, with a budget of $10+/pax... I looked at the photos posted by Shin Ming daily... The buffet food was atrocious, a snapshot of the original hotel banquet venue was printed.. However, i wasn't able to identify the hotel nor the venue.. Does anyone know of the place? The management attributed to a power failure in the generator. The general manager for the hotel was uncontactable as he was overseas, according to Shin Ming.. Accordingly to Shin Ming, the couple had planned for a lavish 10 course Chinese sit down dinner.. any forumers know?
  12. Nowadays seen so many cars on the road at night without switching on headlamp. how do you alert/notify them? Horn? high beam? Drivers in front on you might think what's going on...
  13. hello bros, in some carparks it is written on the board that night parking is 50cents per half an hour from 5pm to 10pm. is it ok to park in these carparks after 10pm? there's nothing stated there that says u cannot park there after 10pm. If it's ok to do so, the rates will still be the same after 10pm right? (which means u can use 2 $1 coupons for 2hrs of parking at night time there?)
  14. i was learning driving around 8pm+ today and suddenly behind me, a van crept up behind me and it was pretty unnerving to see the van until its too late. what they want? cause an accident? headlight faulty or they wanna save battery? thanks for hearing me rant
  15. i have cravings for tau suan, pulot hitam etc at night. but they're usually sold out by 9pm, or 10 if i'm lucky. where can i find a place that sells desserts till late at night? or even 24 hours? i only know of tau hway places that operate till late, but sian of it already. There's Ah Chew at bugis also, but the popular desserts are usually sold out fast.

Planning on 75% VLT for front windscreen and windows & 50% VLT for rear windscreen and windows. Or should I have 75% VLT for all? My car is the Kia Forte 1.6EX of which I have yet to take delivery of. Thanks for any feedback.
