I think v few cars hold their value well nowdays unlike the the past where Toyota, Honda etc can still be sold at good values. Nowadays seems like 3 year old cars are sold close to scrap values esp the outdated models & looking that sgcarmart, it seems harder & harder to sell 2nd hand cars cos Singaporeans all want 1st hand spanking new cars. Dont believe? Just give a call to a dealer to find out what is ur car's trade in value. Certain exotic cars like coupes, cabriolets, sports cars appear to hold their values better but I suspect not easy to find a buyer of those cars. Whats your take on this trend?

Lately, prices of things have risen sharply until money woes have creeped into many young couple's dream of tying the knot. Although it is always arguable, as to how much money is really neccesary to make the wedding and all the essentials that come with it...( like wedding rings, wedding dinners, ang pows, housing , reno, furnish..etc.. and even a pedigree pet! ) a success or for a wedding to be called close to a 'prefect' occassion.. What is really the amount of cash couples should have before even tying the knot now?

yo! For the 2nd day of this week, the traffic is smooth; BKE towards PIE and KJE towards Tuas. I guess we better enjoy the smoothness of the traffic.

Was doing shopping over the weekends for CNY at one of the supermarket (do not want to name it). There are long que at every cashier counter and every cashiers were busy punching or scanning the cash register machines. Whilst queing at no 3 behind a supposely educated looking couple in the 40's. I was shocked by the way they react to the cashier. The couple had emptied their one whole load of items from the trolley at front of the counter and the cashier starts to scan the bar code. As she (cashier) placed the items scanned into the plastic bag and thereafter, place the full plastic bag at the counter beside the cashier. What comes next is unbelieveable........ . The couple shouted at the cashier and insisted that she place the plastic bags into the trolley which, the cashier had to stretch over the counter if she have too place them into the trolley. The poor cashier was for a moment and then she reply that she was busy and unable to reach the trolley. The couple insist that she do it or they will complaint to the manager. They expects such simple services to be provided by the supermarket. An argument started and the couple insist of calling the supervisor or floor manager over. Already in the que for the past 30 minutes (extreme long que) and unable to withstand it anymore, I shouted to the couple that, hey.... there is a long que here and could you just place your dammed plastic bags into the trolley yourselves. The couple looks at me and shouted that they have the rights to demand for services. This is the best parts which I like..... . Out of a sudden, the whole roll of ppls queing infront & behind me started to shout back at the couple to pick up their bags & "F**K Off" and don't held up the que. . A male chinese in his 40's with body tattoo uses foul languages to such extend that the couple looks . A floor supervisor came and escort the gumbling couple with it's trolley & items to the office. Did not know what happen thereafter. What kind of species is this. Able to unload items by items from trolley to the cashier counter but unable to lift bags of items back into the trolley after scanning....... Kudo to the male chinese with tattoo for his foul languages. He was also in the que for the past 30 minutes.......

Does anyone realise that nowadays it quite common to wait for 2 traffic lights and sometimes 3 before one can make a right turn at traffic light junction, unless one takes risk of trying to jump queque..

Just read the New Paper and my blood boiled up as 4 teens had written rude & obscene graffiti in school. They were arrested by police on Monday evening after repeated address by the school principal to own up before a police report to be lodged. No one own up and as such, the case was referred to the police. Through the CCTV tape, police were able to make the arrest. Quote: from the principal: "I'm saddened by what has happen but I'm not angry with them because they come from trouble family backgrounds. I'm not justifying their act." Trouble or not, discipline had to be instilled into these students. By having trouble family background does not excuse you from punishment or above the law. If not checked, their excuse for committing murder in future is also come from troubled family background. So many cases involving students had surface recently from assaulting bus captain, fighting in MSCP, mischief by fire..... etc. What had went terriblely wrong with our youth nowadays?

Just thought I'd ask if I seem to be seeing less and less of Skoda cars on the road nowadays..... is it becos there are more and more superb taxi's? Its a shame that the superb taxi's are way more prominent cos I find that the A5's can look pretty cool with the right bodykit.... comments?

I noticed that most new cars have high seats. Even the lowest setting is still relatively high. What's the reason behind it ?

I intend to bring in some DVD-players, cum GPS systems, at dirt cheap prices, but need a bulk quantity to negotiate for pricing. With all the recent furore on ppl running away and saying 'catch me if you can' what would be the best way to organise the GB? I offer some options: 1. Meet to take the d/payment/deposit for item 2. Weekly e-mails to those who had placed items 3. Wat you think? Anyway u all know me la...some even stay at my HDB block..cannot run nia

haha... it happened right in front of me and i saw the whole scene theres this crazy mini cooper driver(looks like some rich guy, curly rocker style hair thick nerd glasses, driving the car like a fast n furious race competition. spinning left and right cutting in and out of lane 2 and 1 i was in the 2nd lane travelling at around 80-90km/hr and saw the action begin. the mini was chasing cars making cars to give way to it, tailgating the cars infront of him and making them change back to 2nd lane and let him pass by. then the mini reached a reluctant yellow taxi. he tail gated him all the way down the kje stretch towards pie. i just had to see the show so i sped up a little and saw what they did. as ive tot. the taxi didnt give way to the mini. instead they did a mini chase for a while. not long. then the mini changed to 2nd lane. nearly caused the car infront of me to brake and loose control. and immediately swerve to the right back to the first lane in front of the taxi. he then maintained his pace till its the same as the taxi and jammed the brakes. and sped off. i could see the taxi jam his brakes hard that the car behind the taxi nearly hit him. and the mini sped off and back to taunt his new victims. i personally think that its a very stupid thing to do on the roads. haha i really hate it when people just doesnt drive politely. like giving signals . letting you through. etc. sometimes people just had to drive to the junction as if hes not turning left. but at that very moment at the junction he brakes suddenly and made a sharp turn without signalling. dangerous ive also noticed that at night people drive with only their fog lights on , is that the right way ? i dont know. and ive seen motorists with old bikes that have head lamps that were very dim. i nearly hit onto one luckily i didnt turn and him last night. it was driven by an old man as ive noticed.
