Dear bros here Will be trading in my 01 Octy1.8TM this weekend,so was hoping anyone could advice on whats a reasonable body value you'd traded in before or you know of for a Skoda. Don't wanna be . Mine also has upgraded accessories like 17" BBS with new tires, Supersprint exo, Nakamichi 6-disc direct front load, K&N filter, Broquet, Dynojet etc. Wonder if these will increase the body value or its better for me to dismantle & sell? But not sure if its worth the hassle. Thanks.

Performance, interior. 2) What is the list price of these 2 models now? 3) How's aftersales svc? 4) Any workshops outside to service Skodas? 5) Mods available? Hi, I am trying to get some statistics here. Recently, I find that the power has diminshed and fuel consumption has been trending up. From the Maxi-dot, may I know what is the idling rate of consumption (in L/h) when the car is stationary, air-con on and brake applied? Mine says 1.7-1.8L/h.

Dear Skodians and Octy Kakis, My loyal 2001 Skoda Octavia will finally be traded in for a Toyota Camry this coming Friday. The Greenie-Octy has served me well over the last 5+ years and has 'suffered' the most abusive environmental damage in its initial years. Well, that's because I used to work in Jurong and near the sand-blasting shipyards. Although the car has moved indoors for the past 2+ years, I can still see the scars of scratches, dings and dents. The hardworking transporter will be remembered and missed . Even my wife (who has taken over the car and used it almost daily to send and fetch my kids to and fro the baby-sitter's place) said that it is an extremely sturdy car and she has enjoyed driving it. Now, she has to get use to driving my current Hyundai Matrix. Adios to a very good friend! I will miss the Octy... Flight_skoda With a Photo of the Car filled with fond memories. Hello, was wondering if any owners of the above models (all 1.6L cars for around $71k; Ford Focus not being considered) would be able to give me feedback on the following aspects: 1) the quality of the cars ie any defects causing trouble requiring workshop repair within lets say, the first 3 years 2) the technical support by the dealerships 3) generally what they're like to drive on a daily basis. Looking for feedback on what it's like to own any of these on a long term basis, having test driven them. Thanks so much!
