Opel introduces the Astra 4 door sedan... Wheelbase is identical to that of the Astra Estate instead of the hatchback. This is a good thing because the estate has a longer wheelbase than the hatchback, thus offers better rear legroom. But not sure if local dealer is bringing the sedan in... The sedan looks kind of big though.

Bros, I'm currently comparing between this 2 car..both cost around the 70k range..both is mid-size MPV..both 1.8L Comparison as follow: Stream: Jepun made well known Honda built and reliablity Zafira: Conti make Better gear box more gadgets Just now went to test drive the Stream..so now i need to find out about the Zafira.. my concern is the following: Reliablity After sales service(ie, servicing cost, parts availablity, friendliness of the AD workshop etc).. Resale value of OPEL I'm currently driving the 2002 Civic..and i love every single second of it..but my family needs now increase to MPV sized car..to ferry my grandmother around during weekends.. Any comments is appreciated.. Thanks

Could current owners comment of your ride as to its reliability. Any big or small problems to share? As there are only a few in S'pore, does that make it difficult to maintain and find parts and people who know the car well to service. Thank you in advance.

Hello, was wondering if any owners of the above models (all 1.6L cars for around $71k; Ford Focus not being considered) would be able to give me feedback on the following aspects: 1) the quality of the cars ie any defects causing trouble requiring workshop repair within lets say, the first 3 years 2) the technical support by the dealerships 3) generally what they're like to drive on a daily basis. Looking for feedback on what it's like to own any of these on a long term basis, having test driven them. Thanks so much!

Hi Bro. I just got my van from my company whom ima working part time with now. There are some minor dents on the back of the door. Is there any places that i can go touch up on the doors to remove the dent and touch up of the paint?

Hi guys. Am considering the above 2 cars for a 2 person family transport. As far as I know they are about the same price (78k +-) but otherwise quite different in design and execution. Owners of both cars kindly post your objective views with regards to the pros and cons of each car so that I can make an informed decision. I know this forum would be heavily biased towards the Civic , as am I. But I would just like to get a general idea of what I may have missed in the brief test drive of both cars. Also, if anyone has a better suggestion of a car that might be a good alternative and priced about below 80k, please raise your suggestion. All views are and will be greatly appreciated. TIA

Saw this model at a roadshow in Toa Payoh Hub today. Was attracted to the looks and instrument. The model comes in 1.8 MTA and 2.2 A. The pricing for the 1.8 MTA is advertised at $82688 on the website but $69xxx on Sat paper. Anyone driving the car? How does it compare with Toyota Wish and the new Honda Stream?

dear pals, i got a friend who owns an 2001 OPEL astra....he is facing many problems now with the repairs....so far has dumped in $3k over the last year...and recently, there are some issue with the oil temperature...which leads to him to suspect there's other damages coming up... Does any of the previous ASTRA owners have similar experience, and under this circumstanaces, is it better to stop dumping money into this car...and get a brand new Japanese instead? thanks for advise.

Need some review of the car. The 1.8 GTC 3 door caught my eye. Test drove it and found the car handles very well, engine not the most powerful but abled and good enough for daily driving. Just wanna find out more about its common complaints (if any), fuel consumption, maintenance cost. Any info at all is appreciated as this is my 1st venture into conti territory. Thanks in advance!

Guys, Just wanna share my joy for finally deciding to book the new Opel Astra 1.6MTA @ $69888! Its been at least 2 months of showroom hopping (i.e. Citroen, Ford, Opel) but finally concluded that the Astra was for me... When I first saw the Astra, I was smitten by the front and back design... soooo stylish... then came the interior... couldnt be any better... everything was slick and well laid out. The MTA was so fun to drive and I could get the hang of it within minutes! I knew I had to get it but contemplated as I liked the focus and the C4 as well. Definately no disrespect to those 2 beauties. Now, the sad thing is that I'm gonna have to trade in my 3+ year old marchie... Well, it has really served me well... Really really sad to let it go... Well, just keeping my keeping my fingers crossed for COE next wednesday! CAN'T WAIT!
