  1. What is the big deal with 3M Berber custom cut car mats? They look like industrial grade door mats to my eyes... So, are there other 3M car mat fabrics available? Is there any other 'premium' branded custom car floor mat type I should be asking for? The regular soft pile mats in my MPV are taking a beating, and likely will not stand up to a good wash or vacuum, I think. Any help or input greatly appreciated!
  2. Hi, I'm very keen to get DAB in my ride. The most common option by far is Blaupunkt DAB52/53, with the former at promotion price of $599 (incl ticket). Unfortunately I dun quite like the design of the face-plate. Are there any other better looking all-in-one DAB units around? I have a Pioneer DEH-1Y now -- I believe there's an optional DAB tuner add-on, not sure the price though. thanks.
  3. Brothers! I'm down to only 2 options now. MX5 or IS200. Have not test driven the IS200 yet but I'm gonna do it tomorrow. I know the choice is ultimately mine but I wanna hear your views.
  4. Hi just curious to know which is better? Getting repilca Taiwan rims? Or SSW? Or Advanti? Heard some repilcas have very decent light weights as well. But question is whether they are good enough compared to house brands of Stamford(SSW) or Yokohama(Advanti)? Need to look for relatively cheap rims (15") but yet durable. Hopefully light as well. Sorie that I sounded cheapo.... Btw does 15" come in 5.5 rim size as well?? And wat tyres goes well for normal driving?? Ziex 512? Thanks!
  5. Hi everyone, my 1st post here. Need your kind advice on the following: My present set-up in my 2003 Sonata brought over from my scrapped Civic as follows: HU: Stock Pioneer KEH-P4025 50W x 4 Front speakers: Power Acoustik 653 XP2K (200W) Rear speakers: Revac Car Stereo LX6.9 (100W) Power AMP: Alphine DC-DC 4-channel Power AMP MRP-F256 powering front and rear Woofer: Audio & Audio 8" (cant see the model number) Power AMP: Audio & Audio Mosfet Power AMP 600W powering the above sub PPI EQP After reading so much in this ICE forum, I had bought the following from Charlie of Dai-ichi: 1 x Rockford Fosgate Punch 801x 1 pair of CDT HD-62 (latest model) As you can see at my present set-up, I find the present AMP is not giving the much needed power for my present front speakers which I find it rather bright when playing JayLo, Destiny Child (me listen) and Celion Dion, West Life, KPop (my wife listen). Thus I had bought 801x as a future proof for upgrading possibility for rear speakers as well. At the same time, I dont find my present 1 x 8" box woofer able to give me the tightness I wanted (sort of 'stereo type' sound and I think its going to kaput soon). But woofer upgrading and HU process will be at a later stage for now. Here is what I have in mind, any comments are very much appreciated. Set-up 1: Rockford 801x X 2 channels powering HD62 Rockford 801x X 1 channel bridged to power present sub? (Hope I used the correct word) Old Alphine MRP-F256 X 2 channels powering rear speakers. (Revac Car Stereo LX6.9 or Power Acoustik 653 XP2K as rear?) Set-up 2: Rockford 801x for front (HD-62) and rear speakers (Revac Car Stereo LX6.9 or Power Acoustik 653 XP2K as rear?) Keep present power amp for woofer - no change. Any other options I left out? Regards Richard aka koon p/s: sorry for the long messages.
  6. I have finally decided to dump my G7.... Basically decided to get a Mondeo Which one of these is the best option? classic is the entry level for mondeo special adds alloys, rear sensor, Jackspeed leather seats, and also includes 3 years free servicing You can get the 3 years/60k free servicing for 2k on it's own. Is it worth it? Labour + Parts except for batts and tyres.
  7. Just wondering, in a custom turbo setup, what are the fuel controller options... I know about "fuel management unit" which adds a straight line graph fuel pressure based on PSI tapped from turbo, however someone said that this is very bad for the car, as the air/fuel mixture is not mapped out, and might cause piston to burn out in the long run. What are the programmable fuel controller options for a turbo? Is there a fuel controller that can be programmed based on 3 variables, intake air temperature, rpm and boost psi?
