Is it possible for me to do a wire transfer to a foreign account using USD, in my case, transferring to a thailand guy who gave me a US Bank account. He want me to transfer the money via USD wire transfer. I googled awhile and still quite confuse about it. Lets say I just have a savings account, how to I go about transferring the money? I can't use iBanking right? Also there are wire transfer fees to be paid right? Sorry for asking such a noob question! TIA!

My Ody is 3 years old and mileage is about 80K so I thought I would do my serving at other workshop to save some bucks since the warranty is out. Last Friday I went to a AMK w/s highly recommended by some bros here. B4 going there I did a search online comparing KM and various w/s prices. First look it was cheaper by 100+. But after going thru the detail, it will be end up more expensive than Kah motor as it does not include major items like fuel filter and other labour charge.....Luckily I wipe out my iPad to check online & comparing in detail before I hand over my key....thereafter I made my 80K service booking at KM....

Just wondering is it legal to sell petroleum or diesel along road side other than license petrol kiosk? I saw a truck,very frequently will stop by Toa Payoh to refuel a china-made bus.It's not the first time,definitely not going to be the last.His operandi modus is: 1)open his covered truck(his truck is those with covered bed) 2)pull out the nozzle,put into the bus behind it 3)close the fuel lid and put back the nozzle 4)go up his truck and collect money from the bus driver. is there legal issue here?None license truck carrying fuel and sell?

Just a couple of days ago, I spotted a YOG bus cruising happily at 60KM/H on lane 2 CTE. I was like WTF...... Its more like they are hogging the road and blocking our way than we blocking them..... YOG buses should just keep left with good vehicles and stop blocking us!

Wifey was in driving off car when a van stop beside her n a AhBeng in uniform signal her to stop n wind down windscreen, Ah beng ask my wife for help n ask her if she have a moment to spare, wifey come down n they ask her if she can take their goods-some speakers into our car, wife say dun wan but Ah beng say they really can't bring this speaker back to their office or they will be in trouble, They told wifey that these speaker cost $2999 n show her a mag wth the picture of the speaker, wifey say no need but they block her n refuse to let her get back into her car n beg her to help them, n ask for some "beer money" $800... wifey knows something is fishy but as she is all alone n worried that they turn violent, she told them only have $50, they ask if she have ATM card to draw more money, as wifey is rushing for time n these r 3 ah bengs corner her she no choice but relent, she brought the speakers fr them.... it is actually a low-end speaking selling at a mid-range speaker price.... In future if any forumer saw this van stop beside u n ask u for help to take their speaker n ask for coffee money, just drive off immediately, don't entertain them...it is a scam!! btw, the van no. is GW 5884 A but the alphabet may be wrong... anyway this van is not white but green/blue colour; May refer to this site for more info...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_van_speaker_scam it is a long time scam but many pple is still fallen for it, n they seem pretty aggressive recently.

Just letting off steam... I know some people had issues with vpost before, but I didn't... until now that is. I purchased a Garmin GPS and Friction mount from Amazon UK. Got Vpost to redirect them to me. For some reason, Amazon decided to split the order up. In the end, the GPS was delivered to Vpost UK address first and the friction mount was delivered on the next day. Guess what? Vpost delivered the friction mount to me but not the GPS. The courier slip from Amazon UK was very clear... 1 item, the friction mount. The invoice I sent to vpost was also very clear - 2 items, friction mount and GPS. Yet Vpost Europe can combine the description and send one item to me. I even suspect foulplay as they sent the cheaper item which was delivered to their UK address later than the GPS, which was delivered earlier. When I asked vpost, they can't locate the GPS. The CS staff isn't very well trained I figure and I lost my cool at her... the 1st time I did on the phone with a CS staff as far as I can recall. She kept asking me for a different order number for the GPS and I kept saying there isn't as the order number was meant for both items. She kept defending vpost saying they don't check the items delivered. In the end I wrote to Amazon asking if they know to whom did they deliver the GPS to. Guess what? Without even asking more questions, they apologise and say they will send me a replacement!! Wow... can you believe that??!! A 120+ quid GPS replaced just like that... I then called Vpost and spoke to the same CS staff... I wanted to highlight this and make sure they keep a look out. I also asked her if Vpost will charge me delivery for this mess... Guess what? Yes they will... It'll probably cost them S$30+ and I will pay but this will be last time I use them. Sheesh... so much for the GEMS campaign... I guess this campaign doesn't apply to gahmen-related companies. Anyone know how I can escalate this? Their cs email will just be sent to the usual bunch of people.

Dear bros, i was just wondering if singapore drivers are really SO bad ( lack to graciousness, likes to horn, no courtesy etc. ) as compared to drivers elsewhere, say China, Japan or even the States? maybe some comments from bros who travelled very frequently?

I have notice this issue for very very long time. Until now I don't understand why. Many Ang Mos, they can strike out a conversation with anyone, esp their own kin. Sporeans, very unlikely will chat up other Sporeans when Overseas. I tried a few times but many Sporeans I tried to speak to, are very unfriendly, snobbish, arrogant, reserved, cocky etc. Its the women that are very Stuck-up to you as a stranger than the AMTKs. It is very easy to identify Sporeans in overseas public places - Singlish. Some force an artificial accent...The other reasons are above... It also seems that they are ashame to identify with Sporeans and try hard NOT to be Sporeans. Our passports are the most welcomed one in the World. I readily say I'm a Sporean and not

I cannot understand ... Why some people, for no reason at all, see people drive new car, or shiny car, will purposely create a scratch on other people's car ah?? If 2 parties argue, bad terms, etc ... and one party scratched the other's car ... i can see the motive of revenge behind. But for the scenarios where the vandal don't even know who the driver is, but just see the car and "suddenly buay song" and want to scratch ... these people really sick and freaking no life man. May judgement fall upon them heavily ! Seems like I kena once every yr so far ... :angry: Anyone wants to share other reasons why these sickos do what they do huh ?? Some are young punks with nothing better to do, while others are surprisingly, car owners themselves !!

How difficult is it to fit the side mirror of another car model to EP80 ah? I think the Euro Star side mirror from Picanto is very nice, especially the star blinker. Possible to fit it onto starlet?

Yesterday....while waiting at a traffic light....I saw a funny and shocking incident Got a black sedan was driving along ulu pandan road...then a red mazda 3 sedan with black rims suddenly cut into the black sedan's lane without signalling. Black sedan horned the red mazda. Both cars came to a stop at traffic light side by side and driver of red mazda who is an ang mor kia popped out of his window and spit at the black car If you were the black sedan....what would u do if someone spit at your car like this ? This ang mor kia reminds me of pai kia michael fay....very garang and gung ho in our country

The folks at the Scuderia evidently agreed when they finally signed the only driver to beat Schumacher at his own game. And they aren't about to let him forget it now that he's home. So it should come as little surprise that, after handing him the keys to a Maserati GranCabrio, reports are surfacing that the champ has also received (or is soon to receive) a Ferrari 458 Italia as well. Sources suggest that the car may have been part of his contract. The car in question was spotted by a FerrariChat forum member while in Maranello, decked out in Bianco Fuji (Ferrari-speak for pearl while) with Alonso's signature logo embroidered into the headrests right below the Prancing Horse... right where it's always belonged.

I always meet drivers on the road who usually drive like 2 cars length behind but at the moment they see you signal to cut lane, they will speed up to cut you off.... So much so that it makes me don't want to signal, which is dangerous. What I do now is signal and then 1-2 sec later cut before the other driver can react. Any such drivers around? why do people do such things? Another kind of driver I REALLY hate is those illegal stopping cars which causes jams. They think by just turning on hazard lights they can park anywhere....

Hello all, lately i noticed that my mx 5's been very heavy when going through humps. So i did a check and noticed that the right rear of the car is lower than the left. I also noticed that there was some dripping of liquid just behind the right tyre. Can anyone advise how i can check if there is suspension fluid leakage? and how much does it cost to do a fix ? o.o Thought of going to workshop today but the one i frequent is closed

A couple of mths ago, my friend was involved in a freak accident in the carpark where this aunty reversed wifout signal and wifout chking blindspot and hit her ride. But this aunty decided she was not at fault (said my friend followed her too closely) and decided to claim insurance, so my friend went ahead to repair her ride in her preferred workshop and claim 3rd party (the repair cost was abt $1500). Abt 1-2 mths later, AIG sent my friend a letter that the other party is claiming 3rd party insurance as well and asked her for details. So my friend approached the workshop and they replied on her behalf. After another 1mth now, a lawyer for AIG sent my friend another letter that she needa go to their office to tell them more abt the accident. Do u guys have the same experience claiming 3rd party insurance? I dun rem having to go thru so much hassle claiming 3rd party or other ppl claiming 3rd party on me, in my previous insurance. Thought all these shd be transparent to us? Is this some kinda new SOPs? Or is AIG just been kiasi?

Just wanted to vent my anger.... Very TL with this "orange" service provider, 1st offer me 10 over dollars bill rebate and then now 70 bucks handset upgrade. I have been paying at least 150 bucks every mth for my plan. Anyway, will be porting over to the "green" service provider. heard they offer quite good vouchers for renewal Any views on this guys??

hi forumers (touch wood) if ever met wt an accident do ask the other party who at fault to sign a black n white copy to keep as a reference for us just in case that bloody s wanna pin point at us back n put us in a rough time to claim against him or her...few photos of the damaged parts must b taken as well n the other party particular...festive seasons is coming so b very alert on the rd aite forumers cheers
