I have recently found a place that is really suitable for my spray painting biz on cars. However, I am concerned about whether the place, which I am looking to rent, will be allowed for me to conduct my biz. spoke to a number of people and was told that i will need to apply for licence with NEA before i can apply for change of use via ura. however, i went thru the NEA website and everything looks very complicated. As far as i know, the place which i am renting, is classified under B2 zoning. I have also spoke to the mgmt and what i was told is that as long as NEA is okay, they have no problem with me conducting spraying painting biz. I have also called NEA, which they told me that someone will call me back regarding my query on the licences that i need to apply. As per my understanding, the current place is approved for General Industrial (Multiuser). I walk thru the place and found quite a number of heavy industrial company there, which deals with welding of huge metal pipes and etc. However, i do not recall seeing any workshops there. Anyone one who have the experience here can guide me along? I juz want to be sure before I go ahead and confirm the unit with deposit. Thanks all!!

Hi all, I am driving a Sylphy 1.5, 13 months old. Yesterday I realise the sports rim silver start to peel off and inside is black in colour. It is not due to scratches as all my rims are perfect without scratches. I wonder anyone who is driving the same model (2010) has got this problem. I compliant to Tan Chong and is going down and ask for replacement. If posible change all to other model as I am afraid the other 3 will peel off soon also.

Was doing SP for wheel arc, so might as well spray the brake calipers. wanted red color but seems like Singapore can only find silver or black high temperature spray paint Red color is definitely better, oh well. SprayPaintingDIY

Hi bros, Want to paint my brake calipers black. As my rims is ADVAN RG2, the space in between the spokes allows me to paint it without taking out the wheel. That's a good thing, if not it's gonna be real hard to remove those nuts! Thus, I would like to do a DIY job, but without any knowledge and experience. Hopefully from experience bro here please advise me on the following questions. 1) What kind and brand of paint and where can I get them? 2) Equipment needed to paint. 3) The procedures and ways of painting it. 4) Result of painting vs spraying. Please do share and comment on what I should look out for during this DIY. Cheers, Jon.

Halo Halo all bros & sis. Im planning to do a whole car spraying for my 3 yr 2 mth old Sonata. I suppose it will take about 1 week and 2-3k budget ? Would appreciate some feedback on recent experience with a good workshop that can do this. Im looking at 047 / crystal II pearl 3C, aka lexus pearl white(with a tint of blueish). hehehe. i know it will be ex, but i think my reliable car deserve to look good. It has serve my family well. Looking to spray me ride after 4 years. Anyone else keen to go for a full body car spray? Hopefully can get a few interested parties and get a good discount. Only keen on those that costs below 1K, dun need super duper mutli coat type. No Lobang, just need to gauge interest level now. Thanks.

Hi guys, Need advice on this. I got a scratch on my 3 months old car. About 10 cm long. Cannot remove by polishing or buffing since I asked my polisher to do it. Cannot see from far as my car is dark metallic grey but if see closer, cna see clearly the white line already. 2 options - Touch Up Paint Job or Mobile Spray Painting Job? Anyone advises against Mobile Spray Painting Job? I got a contact from my friend, this shops name is Every1shop. Website is http://every1shop.com/mobile_paint_shop Called the person up and he said no oven required. Will use patty, sandpaper and spray paint on the spot at MSCP and lacquer. Is it good? Worried different color on 2 panels of doors. Worried also on quality (bubbles, orange peel, etc) Or should I just get touch up paint from Agent and try to find an expert to do touch up so that only 5-10% of the scratch can be seen? As in the subject, where to get it done at a reasonable price with good worksmanship? The car involved is a Subaru R2. Preferably a workshop in the east that opens on Saturday. Thank you. To avoid more questions and extra advices, I shall let it be known first that my friend's car was not rear-ended by another vehicle. PS: I think the tips and resources folder needs to be updated.

Did anyone try to use airbrush with compressor to spray own car. For minor touchup of chipped paint or scratches. Think it should be a nice workout if we can do that just like spray painting toy models(eg. cars, fighter plane,etc). .
