  1. Hi ! Does anyone have lobang for where is the cheapest covered carpark for season parking? Thanks in advance.
  2. Just read today New Paper and it read : West Coast Park: No more free parking next year. Visitors to West Coast Park will soon be paying a price for the inconsideration of others, in the form of parking charges. From early next year, they will no lomger be able to park their car for free there. This is a result of some motorists abusing the free parking lots there. Citing difficulties in differentiating genuine park visitors from non-park users, the National Parks Board (NParks) has decided to act. At times, park there to enjoy a break at Macdonald's but it seem like have to place a coupon leow .....
  3. Does such an all in one unit exists? Im looking to modernise my newly renewed 5 year coe altis I want to have car recording camera for front and back of my car. But when putting the car in reverse, it will show the reverse camera in the media player. Don't need a particularly good head unit just one that has basic functions.
  4. I am considering a car cover when I am away for more than a month from my car. I won't be using or letting anyone take over my car during the period and the car will be parked in covered shelter carpark. But there is a high chance of rain water at my 1/4 of my car's rear so I am thinking of buying a car cover to wrap up the car for a month. Does anyone use car covers and what are their pros and cons ? My only worry is cats are going to hide under the covers and sleep ( scratch my body paint work ) ..
  5. MPS are charged a proportion of the parking fee as they "do not park overnight or full day at their constituencies". LOL. Can they hire someone to do some logical thinking and reasoning before releasing such statement for their press releases? Or maybe just don't mention at all because it will backfire. Neither do teachers park overnight in schools. Neither do we park overnight at our workplace. Can pay half price only anot? $1 a day parking. Good lei... Elected Members of Parliament (MPs) pay S$365 for an annual permit that allows them to park at Housing & Development Board (HDB) car parks when doing constituency work and at Parliament House when on official business, the Ministry of National Development (MND) said on Monday (Jun 25). The amount is "a proportion of" the current HDB season parking rate, MND said in responses to The Straits Times that were shared with Channel NewsAsia. For HDB residents' first parking lot, the monthly parking charge is S$80 for surface car parks and S$110 for sheltered car parks. "The rate is a proportion of the prevailing HDB season parking rate since MPs do not park overnight or full day at their constituencies," the MND said, adding that the permit fee was increased from S$260 in 2016. https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/elected-mps-pay-365-annually-parking-hdb-car-parks-parliament-10468334
  6. Sorry if this has been asked before and answered - but I did a search and could not find... Can anyone help to share info about cheap or free whole day parking near Singapore Expo - I need to attend a 2 day seminar, and need to drive and park near there. Thanks in advance.
  7. Interesting question: what happens when we park in CBD at 4.45pm? How do we tear the coupons? Tear 1 x 60c for 4.45 to 5pm, then 1x60c for 5pm to 5.30? Or 2 x 60c for 4.45 to 5.15pm?
  8. I was at Expo last Wednesday (6/1) and left at 6:20pm. This Camry (attached) tailgate my back at the exit gantry and gotten his free parking. To test if the parking mgt really chap about these act, I wrote to the Expo mgt. Below is the extract of their repy: Thank you for sending us the details of the tailgating incident at Singapore Expo. We regret that we are unable to pursue this with the errant driver as our system needs his IU number to check if he had paid or not paid carpark charges. It is also not in our jurisdiction to pursue charges against this deliberate act. We are glad that this incident did not cause you any harm and we hope this will not deter you from visiting Singapore Expo in the future. So my question is, are those ERP carpark exit signs saying tailgater will be handed over to the police for real?
  9. Not sure if anyone can share experience. Me got a $100 angpow for parking beside (not at) loading/unloading bay becoz the bay was taken up. On the hazard light, rush up to 11th floor, pick up some heavy baby stuff from my sis, rushed down, and surprise to see white ang pow there. I thought it will be safe becoz i took less than 5 minutes in all and i wasn't blocking at all but road was yellow-lined. Appealed online, they didn't consider the merits of the case just email back to say they have waived twice previously (years back) and that's it. Furthermore, those two times they waived were for tickets at my own season parking area. I just felt they should have considered the genuineness of the circumstances instead of framing their reason over historical records. Anyone knows if it will help to call them directly? Either way, i'm quite resigned with those people in gaberman already.
  10. From the 154th media .... SINGAPORE - A parking officer skipped her patrols, claiming that she had to take care of her ailing grandmother - and tried to hoodwink her bosses by issuing summonses to motorists who had not broken any rules. To make them believe she was fulfilling her daily work quota, Noorasimah Jasman entered the registration numbers of vehicles without season parking tickets into an electronic record system, despite not knowing if they were even parked in the area she was meant to be patrolling. In what The Straits Times understands is the first case of its kind, she issued summonses totalling slightly over $1,000 to more than 30 motorists - before being rumbled by one of her victims. The 33-year-old was sentenced on Monday (Oct 15) to four weeks' jail after pleading guilty to 18 offences under the Computer Misuse and Cybersecurity Act. Thirty-six other charges for similar offences were considered during sentencing. Noorasimah committed the offences in June and July last year while working in the Choa Chu Kang area for Ramky Cleantech Services, which offers enforcement services involving carpark gantries and parking spaces. It managed several Housing and Development Board-owned parking spaces. At the beginning of her shifts, she would meet her team leader to collect a handheld scanner and a daily patrol accountability form. Noorasimah was supposed to record on the form the number of vehicles checked and the number of summonses issued for each carpark she patrolled. She was required to check at least 60 vehicles per carpark in order to meet her daily work quota. However, Deputy Public Prosecutor Alfie Lim said that there was no quota on the number of summonses issued. She had to return the scanner and form after her shifts, the court heard. DPP Lim said that during her earlier patrols, Noorasimah managed to keep records of the registration numbers of vehicles that did not have season parking tickets. She keyed them into the Integrated Car Parks System (ICPS) - a parking offence management system maintained by the HDB, which Ramky officers had access to. DPP Lim told District Judge Kessler Soh: "The accused claimed that her grandmother, whom she takes care of, was in ill health around May 2017. Because she needed to care for her, the accused did not patrol the carparks assigned to her. "She... did not know if the vehicles had even been parked there, let alone if they had been parked in violation of parking rules. She thus caused the vehicle owner to be issued with summons in respect of parking offences which they had not committed." In June last year, a motorist received letters from the HDB over purported parking offences even though no one had driven her vehicle. She alerted the police and Noorasimah was caught. In all, 16 vehicle owners paid fines totalling $304 due to Noorasimah's scam. The HDB has since cancelled the remaining false summonses and refunded the fines. Noorasimah has lost her job. Defence counsel, Mr Chu Hua Yi, told the court that his client was deeply remorseful. She is out on bail of $10,000 and was ordered to surrender at the State Courts on Oct 31 to begin serving her sentence.
  11. Hi all bros, Here something to ponder... Went to Serangoon area for breakfast and manage to get a parking space along a two way street. I park my car against the traffic flow and place a valid parking coupon accordingly and happily went to nearby hawker center for Indian dosai.. When back half an hour later and found a parking slip on the car front windscreen.Looking at my watch, still have about 20mins remaining. So pick up the slip and the offence was "parking against traffic flow" and kena fine $50....first time aware of such offence so next time park your car follow traffic flow
  12. Has anyone parked in Resort World Sentosa from day to night before? What's the charges like?
  13. Was shocked $5-$6 Car park for just 2 hours? Starting a new trend
  14. New uniform to look out for for Cisco parking wardens. LTA, URA and HDB to share one common hotline in order to improve response to public feedback and effectiveness of response. https://www.todayonline.com/singapore/one-hotline-enforcement-provider-parking-offences-august
  15. Recently there's been a bit of viral debate after a Hope Ambulance took up two lots outside Sheng Siong for their team to pack some food. A member of the public submitted a footage to SG Road Vigilante. Well there's a few camps for this. I'm on the side of... it's an emergency vehicle, I believe our society can afford to give and take, u never know when we'll need their help. These people work tirelessly to save lives. Since they're not blocking anyone n there are so many lots available let's just be more tolerant. If the cam driver is so triggered he could have gone up to the ambulance driver n asked him politely to park. Granted, since there's no emergency they should have parked properly but for me personally I think its ok for them to receive that little bit of privilege/tolerance for that short 5 to 10 mins. Here's another incident that happened in the UK. https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/world/2018/07/outrage-after-uk-ambulance-officer-issued-parking-ticket-for-parking-on-yellows-lines.html https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvKmrR5wKic What's your take on this?
  16. Lai Liao https://www.todayonline.com/singapore/teachers-schools-and-jcs-pay-parking-soon I wonder why the govt has to take away this privilege for their own staff. Schools are not public carparks where the general public can park.. like MOE HQ. Why charge then?
  17. This is what they do while issuing a ticket. so don't use excuses like: - i got put coupons but auntie never see, - auntie see my timing wrongly, - I wasn't at that particular lot at that particular time, - etc.......... so what other excuses still can be used har?
  18. Don’t require anymore for my season parking at Esplanade, I can only transfer the season parking from July 2018 onwards and is valid till end Nov 2018 for $200 a month. If buy directly from Esplanade require to commit 12 months at $214 monthly.
  19. Just to check if say during the period of december that I want to stay at my mum's place for like 2 weeks, am I allowed to transfer the season parking from my place to my mum's place (subject to availability I guess) for that period of time?
  20. Can anyone let me know where is the cheapest season parking near HarbourFront or Vivo? Any idea what are the season parking rate around there? Thanks in advance !
  21. hi peps, anyone know the rate for Singapore conference Hall? will the URA carpark near prince edward be cheaper?

  24. Raining heavy tonite. Just went out to pick up my daughter from my bro-in-laws place. Came back thinking of dropping wifey & girl within the sheltered area 1st b4 drving to park my car. Saw this car & van parked side by side in the area. The van was just ahead of me probably doing some delivery cos I saw 3 guys carrying some boxes just walking away. Bo pian wife have to take umbrella out & getting a little wet. Another car was also behind mine & he must he as well cos I saw him staring at both the van & car while I was driving off. Was thinking after parking my car, if they are still there I sure take pic of both the car & van! After parking car, van was gone... but car still there. Went back upstairs to take digicam, Came down & managed to snap a couple of pic of the car. Dunno how long already the car been there. This is despite a BIG yellow sign that say something like "No waiting & Parking except for police, ambulance & authorised vehicles only" "fined $400" He could also hv dropped his family off or for whatever reason, I dun think he should be so selfish to hog that place for his own convenience. He was parked there for 20 minutes in the pouring rain.
