Do you think there are unethical used car dealers who swap car parts out of trade-in cars that are very new? then resell the cars which then will have problems and recommend their workshop for repair. -
Supposedly you are intending to buy an old car/van, mainly for transportation use. Car/Van has been around since 97, what are the mandatory things to change if under your name? tyre, timing belt, engine oil brake cooler brake oil is it advisable to do a full engine overhaul? if i not wrong, overhaul usually quite expensive.. please share your thoughts

Hi Would like people to share their workshop labour charges. I intend to change my front brake pads, spark plugs and change out my old brake fluid. Was quote by a workshop in sin ming, change out front brake pads $25, change out spark plugs $15. Change out brake fluid $40. I will supply my own parts so I am only paying for labour fees. BTW I am driving a old honda jazz idsi model , req. 8spark plugs Appreciate if you can share your trusty workshop for me to get a quotation from them, I am staying ard bishan area. Does any one visit before the braddell road caltex that have a small servicing workshop? Thanks for sharing

Dear all I have actually bought a set of mounting for colt plus but apparently mechanic says no need to change lol. So I am able to exchange this set for something else from the shop who sold me . Be it Mitsubishi or Toyota or proton. I hv 360 credits whIch I wont b usIng them for other parr as car wear n tear all changed.so if u keen to get any service part let me know we can nego .

Read through the major servicing menu and found that there are a lot of parts replacement which comes with a *, which note "if applicable" The cost will be around $400++. My thought is that if those parts are not replaced, the servicing will be as good as a normal servicing which cost $100+, which means I am effectively paying $300 for visual check, which of course I wouldn't know if the check is even conducted and how detailed. Can I know how many of you still go back to your agent for servicing after warranty period, and how likely major servicing has all the listed parts replaced? I am OK with the price if the parts are replaced. Else, I would rather go elsewhere and get them changed. Any feedback?

Decided to drive my car till scrape day, the dilemma now is I have a few parts that require changing. Engine mount worn Suspension bushing worn Shock absorber worn My mileage will be high from now till scrap, should l just spend that thousands or just live with it? -

Hi Bros, Few days ago, I found that some of the external rubber parts on my Toyota Fielder was stolen. One was at the front windscreen wiper panel, the other was my rear wiper arm cover. I called the stockists and found that for the front wiper panel, its sold as a complete set, they don't sell the corner rubber. For the rear wiper arm, they sell the whole arm, and not the cover. Need some help to see if anyone knows of any scrapyards specializing in Toyota Axio / Fielder. Some ppl I asked just said "Woodlands" but when I asked them where exactly, no one knows. Woodlands is very big... I know of a few scrapyards near Gambas ave and will probably try to find them.

Just a quick query on the parts that requires to be replaced as i'm still picking up being a new car owner. My ride is Honda Fit GE 08 and i've just hit the 40k mileage. Items at Major Servicing (40,000km interval) CVT Fluid (change) Engine Oil (change) Brake Fluid (topup) Spark Plug Radiator Coolant (Flush) Oil Filter Fuel Filter Air Filter Aircon Filter (if required) Brakepad (if wearing out) Items at Regular Servicing (10,000km interval) Engine Oil Brake fluid (topup if required) For tyres probably 1year or more depending on usage and wearing? Also for Timing chain any indicative replacement timeframe? Do share if any items i missed out that would need replacement at certain intervals. -
Hi everyone, I wonder if you guys have any good lobangs to buy parts for the Subaru Impreza 08 4-door sedan? Am driving a 2.0 RS sedan now, been trying to look for autoshops that sell parts, bodykits to replace the damaged ones that I have, but all of them refer me to Motor Image. In my opinion Motor Image's mark-up is quite high and the 'rareness' of the 4-door 08 version in Singapore is making it difficult for the small group of us to source for replacement parts.

I just changed my belts and water pump. I was told by the workshop that Mitsubishi spare parts are compatible with Proton Campro engine (they share many other parts such as oil filter). I didn't give it much thought thus ask him to go ahead to cheap for me. Thus he use original Mitsubishi parts instead of Proton ones. There is no problem, everything is working fine as it should. Only thing is that Mitsubishi parts cost more than Proton ones. But I am just wonder is it advisable to use Mitsubishi parts instead of Proton ones?
