  2. the knight rider! America's Top Talent wasn't lacking for talent in the stripper department with Michelle L'amour in the house. And a smart stripper, too -- it's not often the contestants think to play to a judge's (i.e. David Hasselhoff's) ego. Ms. L'amour put together this creative bit starring a KITT lookalike and featuring the theme song with risque, albeit kitschy, sound bytes scattered throughout, melding a few of the things boys like best: sexy women and cars. Did she win? Brandy obviously wasn't enthused with the Finance major-turned-stripper's antics, evident as she punched the strike buttons of her fellow judges, but it was the viewers who eliminated her in the semi-finals. Thankfully, her stripteases remain on YouTube for the forseeable future.
  3. Hi guys, I went to Autobaccs to day and a guy was promoting this fission thingy to me...He claim that it is fuel saving and improves performance of the car. 4. hi all, I am not big on performance mods. But would like to spend just a little money to improve on the performance of my ride, especially low end. Would a CAI be sufficient for an "entry level performance mod"? What do you guys recommend? I might spend more in future, but right now don't want to splurge unnecessarily... Thanks for the advice. Oh yah, btw, I drive a swift sport.

  6. Most of them think Hyundai cars are not fuel efficient but i can say they are wrong. If u drive economically it can go more than 650km++ full tank. I've driven to Genting in my Hyundai Sonata EF with full tank. I didt speed but drove ard 120km/h +/- rpm not above 2.5. When i reached the top i still had 3/4 of fuel in my tank. It all depends on how they drive. Hyundai cars tend to rev a lot even when u step lightly. Cos the body heavier.
  7. Calling all owners of Moons frameless wiper blade who got it from the previous GB. http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/gforum.cgi...y;so=ASC;mh=-1; Can give reviews? Also, is the installation of frameless wipers same as the conventional ones? Eg. unhook, slide out old wiper, slide in new wiper, hook back.
  8. Top 10 shortlisted candidates for performance car of the year were (Alphabetical order): Audi RS4 Audi S6 BMW 335i BMW M / Z4 M Coupe/Roadster Ferrari 599 GTB Jaguar XKR Mazda 3 MPS / Mazdaspeed3 Porsche 911 GT3 Porsche 911 Turbo Renault Clio Renault Sport Only one emerged champion. Date: Apr 9, 2007 NEW YORK - A panel of renowned motoring journalists from 22 countries around the world has reached its verdict: the Audi RS 4 is the 2007 World Performance Car of the Year. The sports saloon from Audi beat off competition from 17 other candidates to take the title. The award was announced at the New York International Auto Show. According to the World Car of the Year jurors, the Audi RS 4 is "the virtual definition of a sports sedan". They praised the quattro permanent four wheel drive system, 420 hp engine and build quality that is "beyond reproach". The jurors also thought that the very best part of the Audi RS 4 was "the wonderful roar it emits when you put your right foot down". This is not the only award that the Audi RS 4 has received. Its blend of motorsport technology and everyday driving qualities has led to awards from "BBC Top Gear" magazine in Great Britain, "sport auto" magazine in Germany and "Motor" magazine in Australia. The Audi RS 4 features a high-revving 420 hp eight-cylinder engine with FSI technology, quattro permanent four wheel drive with 40/60 asymmetric/dynamic torque distribution and DRC (Dynamic Ride Control). It reaches the 60 mph mark in 4.8 seconds, and 125 mph 16.6 seconds. Top speed is limited electronically to 155 mph.
  9. Okay guys, which is the best setup based on experience: a) 3E with 15" b) 3E with 16" I kinda like the look of the 16" however FC will be compromised. 16" will affect pickup if I'm not wrong right?
  10. Just received this flyer stuck on my windshield this morning. Some company by the name of Lubric Resources in Bedok Ind Pk. is bringing in M1EP. They offer it at $68 for 4qts. A whole list of HP and the company's tel and fax number is listed. The $68 includes delivery. Dunno if they got other grades 'cus on the flyer (actually expensive cardboard paper flyer), the pic is the 15W50 . They think we go racing everyday? If they can bring in the other Mobil oils will be better if it is cheaper. Drive Clean 5000 is not bad already and so is DC7500.
  11. Yo Genie & all, What's your take on the latest Mobil 1 formulation? http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/MotorOil/Oils/Oils.aspx Cheers!
  12. Just wanted to check from all of you... Which petrol you use for your car? Is it for performance or discount (combined with which credit/debit card)? If there's a similar old post on this topic, my apolgy in advance, and let me know the thread. Thanks!
  13. Twin/Multiple-Plate Clutch Hi All, I was reading the following discussion on the net. Do you guys have similar experience/understanding??? All comments are welcome...... thanks "............. Most performance cars still use single plate clutch. Some, like the Evo Egg, use a slightly improved clutch cover (wide angle clutch torsion damper to reduce rattle and noise, better release at high speed). Usaully stock clutch cannot do a proper (as in professional sprints) launching. For example, if the driver launches an EVO normally at 5.5k-6.5k RPM it will cause the clutch system to burn. Below are some recommendations: 1) If you SELDOM (or never) launch your car at that RPM as mentioned, use back stock clutch.(comfort, soft paddle feel..etc) 2) If you (OFTEN) launch your car at the RPM as mentioned, try AP RACING organic clutch disk (same type of clutch disk as stock but stronger material) and use back original clutch cover. (Comfort, soft paddle feel, able to launch but not alway lah....one guy used it and was able to survive 3 sprints and 1 carpark rally for standard showroom class and still have more than 50% left). 3) If you (ALWAYs) launch, use TWIN Plate or TRIPLE Plate clutch system (depend on the horsepower of your car). Most racing clutch is uncomfortable to use as it really bites when launch. Got to get use to releasing the clutch when launching or risk damaging your gearbox. The expert drivers/racers don't juz let go their clutch at one go when they launch at 6.5K plus. They tend to depress a bit, press and finally let go. Don't know is it true or not? The problem with twin plate is that the transition from slip to full engagement is really narrow, so it's always very hard to do it right. The problem of twin-clutch will be solved in near future as now most of the clutch producing company are coming out with CARBON CLUTCH. Like AP Racing & ATS (already in the market), Exedy(coming out soon)....etc. Advantages: 1)Able to do half clutching without jerking (so comfort when driving in urban area) feel like normal clutch. 2) Able to withstand high temp (racing clutch as drive or rally for some time they tend to heat up and cause very diffcult to engage gear). 3) Light weight. 4) Normal when launching the clutch will tend to slip for 0.05 - 0.1 sec or less then it bite again. (Protect your engine gearbox, ayc, acd..) Disadvantage: 1) The clutch has to warmed up before we doing any launching (as carbon bite only at high temp). In sprint/supersprint events, the need to warm up tyres & clutch at the same time can be quite troublesome.(have a procedure to follow when warming up the clutch). So it is mostly recommended for track use, not daily use. 2) Expensive. On the other hand, present metal plate clutch have its own advantages & disadvantages. Not that it's no good. ..............." Anyone out there using carbon clutch? Can give any comment on the clutch so that we can compare? Cheers
  14. Hi all, advise on good performance tyres in this size thanks
  15. Think straight, because the 4-letter F-word is "FAST". ================================================================================ ==== By MARK RECHTIN | AUTOMOTIVE NEWS AutoWeek | Published 12/04/06, 8:01 am et "LOS ANGELES - Lexus will launch a performance brand in late 2007 to compete with Mercedes' AMG and BMW's M divisions. Lexus will start with an IS sedan equipped with a 425-hp, 5.0-liter V-8. The engine is a retuned version of the LS 600h L hybrid's engine, dealer sources said. The sedan will be called the IS-F. It will debut at the Detroit auto show in January. Lexus likely will carry that nomenclature into other high-performance Lexus vehicles, a dealer said. He said a GS-F sedan and IS-F coupe likely will follow. The IS-F - "F" as in "fast" - will go on sale in December 2007 and sticker in the low $50,000 range, sources said. Lexus told dealers of the plans at a recent national meeting. Toyota Motor Co. filed for a trademark for "IS-F" on Nov. 8 with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. It also filed for a trademark for a stylized "F" logo on Oct. 9. A dealer source said Yamaha is tuning the IS-F engine's heads for more power. Brembo will be the brake supplier. Lexus declined to comment. "

  23. Hi Bro, Need advise on which performance Tyre has the "lowest Noise". Ya, I know performance does not go hand in hand with quietness. Just choosing quitest of performace. I am driving Mazda5 on 16,60,205. 1) Maxis MA-Z1 2) Michelin Pilot Preceda 2 3) Continental CSC2 4) Hankook V8 5) Re05 6) Sport Max 7) GSGD3 8) Yokohama Advan Sports Other type to recommend also? Actually top of my list is MA-Z1 but cannot find any feedback from people who has tried them. I just need them to last around 30K as my mileage is low. Pricewise looking at below $200. I believe those in the list should fall into these cat.
