  2. Hi all, need some help on the dermerit point system. I got my license on 6th sept last yr, met with an accident in oct, got 6 demerit points. Its like slightly 1 yr after i get my license, i just want to know for my situation, i am able to get a max of 12 demerit points or 24 demerit points?? pls advice! thanks!
  3. As above, wonder if by clocking demerit points, will it affect NCD?
  4. Price increase without further notice.. Speeding: Exceeding 1 - 20km/h = $130 + 4 demerit points. Exceeding 21 - 30km/h = $150 + 6 demerit points. Exceeding 31 - 40km/h = $180 + 8 demerit points. Exceeding 41 - 50km/h = >$200 + 12 demerit points + Court. Exceeding 51 - 60km/h = >$200 + 18 demerit points + Court. Exceeding >61km/h = >$200 + 24 demerit points + Court. If you want to be hero and fight the court case yourself, and you lose, you pay the court charges yourself, which will add up to your fine. I guess the court charges is at least $200 and above. Careless driving = $150 + 6 demerit Points. Inconsiderate Driving = $170 + 9 Demerit Points + Court. Dangerous Driving = >$200 + 24 Demerit Points + Court + Vehicle Compounded. Illegal Racing = >$200 + Vehicle Confiscate + Court. Fail to put Seat Belt = $120 + 3 demerit points. Crossing Double White lines = $130 + 4 points. Phone and Drive = $200 + 12 demerit point + Phone Confiscate. Do not hold your hp in your hand when you drive even with loud speaker or ear piece. Drink Driving - first offence. = Up to $5000 Fine And, or jail Term + License Suspended + Court. Drink Driving - 2nd offence = Jail term + Fine + Court. Making an illegal U Turn = $70. Fail to Signal when changing lanes = $70. Driving after 7pm without headlights = $30. No Number Plate = $70. Obstructed Number Plate = $70. Obscured Number Plate = $70. Number Plate Of Unapproved Type = $70. As for Demerit Point system: Let's say you have 0 points on 1st January 2005, and you committed The offence of Failing to Put on Seat Belt. So now, you will have 3 demerit points and this will last for 1 Year. If during this 1 year you have no demerit points offence at all, your 3 demerit points will be gone on 1/1/2006. But, if during this one year, From 1/1/2005 - 1/1/2006, you committed another offence with demerit points, your very first offence will be extended for another year until 1/1/2007.

  7. Hi guys, need some advice from gurus here I'm using michellin preceda 195/55/15. They are non-directional tires, (ie no sidewall arrow marking). They have 'outside' marked on the outer walls though Looking at the outer thread wave direction, left side points >(front), whereas the right points < (back). Is this normal? My car steers moderately to the left, which is more than normal as it only steers slightly previously. No funny noises, okay braking. Can I just swap the front left and front right tires to cure the steer left problem? I had alignment done at riverview, and after adjustment, kenny swapped the front 2 tires left to right and vice-versa to solve the problem. I'm not sure if the above 'back' pointing and 'front' pointing was there as i had my tires rotated recently. Thanks guys!
  8. Panizzi Takes Three Points in Lancer WRC04 at Rallye Monte-Carlo Tokyo, January 26, 2004 - Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) and MMSP, the holding company for MMC's worldwide motor sport activities, contested the opening round of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) last weekend and scored points in their debut outing after a year's sabbatical for the series. The tiny Principality of Monaco hosted Rallye Monte-Carlo and 38-year-old Gilles Panizzi claimed sixth overall in the first event for the new Lancer WRC04. Three points in both the Drivers' and Manufacturers' Championships was a fitting reward for the whole team. Rolf Eckrodt, CEO and President of MMC, said: "After a year away from the series we are very happy to get points in our first event. We have a passion for motor sport and a history of high performance and teamwork and we are delighted to be back in the World Rally Championship, the pinnacle of motor sport besides Formula One. Our results are borne from our strong challenging spirit. Mitsubishi Motors will continue to pass the technical knowledge it gains through racing competition to our customers who drive our products." Adding to his comments, Sven Quandt, MMSP's Head of Motorsport, said: "To have scored points like this, when the car is still so new and we also have new drivers, is quite exceptional; we are delighted with the team success in our first event back in the World Rally Championship. Two weekends ago we won the Dakar Rally and last weekend we made a successful return to the WRC. Points have been a great bonus at the start of this challenging year. These results demonstrate Mitsubishi's commitment to motor sport." "I am very happy," added Gilles. "We did not make a lot of testing and of course we are all completely surprised we have not had more problems the first time the car has run in these conditions. To finish and score points is very good. I am confident with the team and the car, and this is the start of a new chapter in my motor sport career; I have found a good team." With the introduction of the Japan Rally in the 2004 series, MMC is also focused on its home event and will be looking to set an electrifying pace on the north island's gravel stages in September.
