    Police!

http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/singapor...nt.jsp?id=13175 http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/singapor...ent.jsp?id=6551 http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/singapor...ent.jsp?id=6303 looks like these stompers are so against the police.. wat do u think traffic police shld be doing? hidden from the motorist or easily spotted by the motorists or put a sign at 200m away that says "traffic police on duty, do not speed"? if they are easily visible to motorist den it does not serve the purpose of wat they are doing, am i right? "The first step taken by the Traffic Police was to list openly on its website the roads where officers would be deployed with laser speed cameras." edit: this is my 100th post =X
  2. Was travelling on Changi Road last evening at 6:30pm, when I saw a police car driving on the bus lane at a very slow pace. Then when I caught up with it, I saw the police officer driving the car while his right hand is holding onto his mobile phone at the height of his mouth(like using walkie). Not sure if he had a ear piece, but even so TP states that both hands must be on wheel even when using ear piece. As I was driving, I got no chance to take a pic.
  3. Hi to all, Tried searching for any info related to this in the forum but couldnt find any, so pls pardon me if topic had been discussed before. Just noted one police officer taking numbers of all the cars parking illegally outside a shopping centre, then went back to his police car and drove off. Reckoned its from nearby NP Post. Anyone knows if it would lead in a fine? Will they refer to HDB or TP to issue a fine?
  4. Recieved this from a friend and passing this on. Drive safe. NEW Price List from TP. Price increase without further notice. Speeding: Exceeding 1 - 20km/h = $130 + 4 demerit points. Exceeding 21 - 30km/h = $150 + 6 demerit points. Exceeding 31 - 40km/h = $180 + 8 demerit points. Exceeding 41 - 50km/h = >$200 + 12 demerit points + Court. Exceeding 51 - 60km/h = >$200 + 18 demerit points + Court. Exceeding >61km/h = >$200 + 24 demerit points + Court. If you want to be hero and fight the court case yourself, and you lose, you pay the court charges yourself, which will add up to your fine. I guess the court charges is at least $200 and above. Careless driving = $150 + 6 demerit Points. Inconsiderate Driving = $170 + 9 Demerit Points + Court. Dangerous Driving = >$200 + 24 Demerit Points + Court + Vehicle Compounded. Illegal Racing = >$200 + Vehicle Confiscate + Court. Fail to put Seat Belt = $120 + 3 demerit points. Crossing Double White lines = $130 + 4 points. Phone and Drive = $200 + 12 demerit point + Phone Confiscate. Do not hold your hp in your hand when you drive even with loud speaker or ear piece. Drink Driving For first offence. = Up to $5000 Fine And, or jail Term + License Suspended + Court. 2nd time offence = Jail term + Fine + Court. Making an illegal U Turn when there ' s no U Turn sign = $70. Fail to Signal when changing lanes = $70. Driving at night without headlights or taillights switch on after 7pm = $30. No Number Plate = $70. Obstructed Number Plate = $70. Obscured Number Plate = $70. Number Plate Of Unapproved Type = $70. As for Demerit Point system: Let ' s say you have 0 points on 1st January 2005, and you committed the offence of Failing to Put on Seat Belt. So now, you will have 3 demerit points and this will last for 1 Year. If during this 1 year you have no demerit points offence at all, your 3 demerit points will be gone on 1/1/2006. But, if during this one year, From 1/1/2005 - 1/1/2006, you committed another offence with demerit points, your very first offence will be extended for another year until 1/1/2007 .
  5. Hey I wanna share my experience about something new that you may not heard about it! Did you ever heard about this product or tried it? I was in doubt first in buying this spray and I though that it's junk like most of the things you buy online, but when I saw the reviews I felt better and decided to test this one, but still unsure tried it last week and the result was awesome! I checked and no camera could get sharp picture from my plate! I like it and I ordered more, and sold to my friends who didn't know it I don't know if you tried it or not but it works for me,I'm not the only one, my friends saw positive result also, So I wanna see did you know about it and if you used it tell me your experience too. for more info : http://www.phantomplate.com/ photo:
  6. As in any other weekday, I was travelling along the AYE towards the Buona Vista Exit on the 3rd lane of a 4 lane Road keeping a distance of about 1 car length from the vehicle in front moving at about 70km/h-80km/h. Out of the blue, a 20 year old SBN ****Y COE junk blue Merc cut into my lane forcing me to jam brake but realising that it was not enough to stop, (remember, it was only 1 car length away from the vehicle in front and he could pull such a stunt! the big lorry behind me also about 1 car length away) I swerved to the right, missing another car who drove defensively and braked a little sensing that I might swerve to the right. All this while my hand was on my twin magnum horn for a good 2 seconds but the blue merc driver calmly and confidently just took my lane. The result? 3 CARS sharing 2 LANES side by side! Blue merc, me in the centre on the dotted lines and a black sedan on my right! Next, I heard a barrage of horns behind at least 7-8 different long and loud horns. I hope it was not an accident as after we spaced ourselves out, I saw a big empty space in my rear view mirror. Quite a few vehicles had stopped! I horned after that bugger for about 5 seconds on his tail and he refused to stop. I drove along side him about 1km later on for about 3 seconds horning and signalling him to stop intending to tell him off about his horrid driving and the possible accident that he had caused but he refused to even look at me choosing to continue driving. For such an irresponsible and dangerous driver, I trailed him all the way right behind him into the cte and he drove his pathetic car to the Hong Lim police post. He stopped and called the police on the phone and i parked behind him. All this while we were both in our vehicles. When 4 policemen came out the door, i exit my vehicle to tell the police what happened but the police told me to stay near my vehicle and then that chao ah kwa finally came out and approached the police. some 40 something old guy. I explained the situation and had my particulars recorded before i was told that i can go. The purpose of this post is that if anyone was injured in any accident along the AYE at about 7.15-7.25 a.m. due to the inconsiderate driving of that joker please feel free to approach me to be a witness. I hope that there were no accidents caused by all the confusion and sudden lane changes. And that chao ah kwa, dare to do this kinda stunt dun dare to take responsibilities for his actions. c'mon. did he think that just because he was protected by a car's metal body he can pull that kinda stunt? When asked by the police why he did not stop after he knew he caused considerable confusion on the road by his reckless driving, he claimed that he was afraid that me or others will hammer him. hahaha and i replied the police that this is singapore and that road rage is a very serious offence. Both the policeman and me smiled to each other. So that ass of a driver dared to pull stunts which could have or maybe even caused an accident (i'm not sure but guessing so because lots of vehicles stopped behind me after the incident)just because he was protected in his car but dare not apologise or check if his actions had caused an accident. Initially, intended to trail him to see which office building he was going to so I could lodge an appropriate report to the traffic police but that chao ah kwa drove right to the poloice station. best now. If there was an accident, he cannot distance himself from it now as he had just positioned himself at the scene of the crime. ok thats all folks. p/s never let horrid drivers get away with such horrid acts.
  7. i have seen this twice, a outrider, a white volvo SC90 police car, clearing way for another white volvo s60? ... anyone know who's in the white volvo? they don't let people pull up beside the s60, and each time they stop, they open the backdoor of the SC90 or something like that. how come procedure like that? i manage to see into the SC90; all look like thugs/bouncers/fighters man - i think all are senior um bai
  8. Recently has reliase that many of those white police patrol car has started to isuue summon to those illegal car parking along the rd side. Seen it at AMK, thomson, balestia rd etc...anyone has any ideal how come they are so on now.
  9. My colleague asked me a question just now. He said a MP bike waved his car to a side as there was some big tonner behind wanna pass (the MP was obviously escorting the tonner),he said he didnt bother him. Do you think we have to give way to them? My answer is yes. What is yours?
  10. I stay at Blk 107 Simei St 1. Just now when I looked from my window, I saw a boy sitting on my car with his right foot up. I shouted at him from the 11th floor to get up. Made my way down, while waiting for the lift he moved to the other side but was still sitting on my car. Went down and we were walking to his parents home, he wanted instead to go to the police because he did not want to trouble his parents. (I suspect he was afraid of his parents). So, we walked (for some reason he did not want to wear his slippers) all the way to the Simei CC and made the report. His argument was that he fell down while playing badminton on the road and by instinct he needed to sit on my car . So I told him that when I was parking my car earlier, his pants were already folded up on the left leg, so when did he hurt his leg and besides, if he was in so much pain, how come he does not sit on the side of the road but on my car ?? Anyway, he was chatting with his friend, so couldn't be much pain ... Anyway, I did not pursue the matter, folly of a little kid (altho I worry about him growing up in that direction). I have already raised the issue officially to the ECTC some time back. I was referred to HDB and finally ECTC told me that the provider in charge of the car park has been informed. But nothing much has happened since ... I guess people in Simei are not concerned about another accident with a kid. These kids do not give way to vehicles ... even when it is clear, we need to pass. I know there was trouble when I had to horn him (very softly) to park my car. Maybe I shd have pursued the matter but I feel silly, a 30++ year old man pursuing some trivial matter against a kid . But on the other hand, do we let such blantant behaviour continue ? Anyway, left our details with the police and hopefully, the silly boy does not try anything stupid because if he does, I will pursue the matter. Did I do anything wrong ? He was leading me to Blk 106 (or maybe he was smart ...) but his younger brother did come out from the lobby of Blk 109. Drivers be warned ...

As the place is a gazetted area and the gathering contravened the Miscellaneous Offences (Public Order and Nuisance) (Prohibition of Assemblies and Processions

  13. I have come across this blog documenting a pick-up driver committing handphone driving. The blogger has even videod the whole process as well as documenting the time and venue it occurred, acting like a TA. http://irresponsiblemotorists.blogspot.com...ne-driving.html I wonder if Singapore's Traffic Police would issue or has authority to issue summon based on the evidence presented by the blogger ???
  14. Hi,,, to any of u guys here who had experienced the same situation as i am. Pls help. Received a SUMMON on my birthday in July. Got letter of fine in early August. Afterwhich i sent an appeal letter and they replied the acknowledgement to ignore the current fine payment in the mean time till they review my case (parked opposite single white line larh at Swensons Orchard behind - bloody hell no tickets on my windscreen somemore) Then i just received a letter today which is of exactly the same format as the 1st SUMMON letter i got before my appeal. Its just that the due date for payment is later. Does this mean that they declined my appeal or they overlooked my appeal and sent me the SUMMON letter again (just that this time, its of a different due date)? Do i have to call them and clarify or send appeal letter again? wah lau. i wrote appeal letter still kena this. how can??? My birthday leh i sent appeal letter dated on National day as i received it 2 days before it, also never give chance. sad siah...

  24. I was travelling on CTE to orchard fm Ang Mo Kio, just past the PIE exit at 7.50am on 26 May, saw this policeman (in uniform) in a white sedan QX48xxx (unmark police car) coming up fast & very close on the Getz in front (probably moving at 75km/hr), moving on the 2nd lane of the 4-lane road. Even though no car on 1st & 3rd lane, instead of switching lane to overtake, he tailgated the Getz for 20 sec+. When he finally overtake on the 1st lane, he give a good stare at the Getz driver uncle. Then he spotted my friend looking at him & he stared back, giving a "what at u looking at?!" annoying look. What is this?? Tailgate vehicle, stare at Getz driver, stare my friend , think wear uniform & drive police car can do anything. Even if on urgent duty, can overtake on either lane instead of tailgating, still want to stare
