  3. I resprayed my car last year after an accident. But I'm a lazy b**tard and don't wash my car often, so the paint is a bit faded. Quite obvious because it's black. I also didn't do any coating or waxing after the respray, wasn't even aware of such things until recently. The car is coming to 10 years old but I'm thinking of possibly extending the COE by 5 years and I want to make it look nice again. Is it possible to send it for a thorough polishing job, and then do a new nano-coating to keep it shiny? Do I need to respray?
  4. Tried to remove some minor scratches on the alloy rims (non glossy non shining type) with fine sandpaper on a boring sunday. Managed to buff out the scratches but left a bit of polishing marks . It is not noticeable unless look at it closely. I can live with it. Do I need to do anything more on the affected areas like applying a protective coat?

  15. Just want to share my testimonial on the results of Duragloss Plastic Polish on my headlamp plastic cover as below. I am driving a 10-year old car and both my headlamps have turned yellowish due to aging. At night, I can see my right headlamp is brighter than the left, due to they suffer different level aging. I saw Autobacs has a $30 headlamp polishing promotion for its new Ubi store opening (normal $35). I was very tempted to try liao, but remembered my appointment with Benny to pick up some DG supply that same evening. So, I parked my temptation aside and asked Benny for solution on my 10-year old head lamp plastic cover when I met him at his HDB carpark around 10 p.m. He offered me a free small bottle of Duragloss Plastic Polish as sample, but later returned with a full size bottle and a MF cloth as his samples were finished. He started polishing my headlamps with his elbow grease immediately and ... The results ========= The yellowish stain goes away in seconds, and I would say my headlamps have been restored back to 90% new. I strongly believe that >95% new is achievable, as we were only using MF cloth to rub the headlamps under the "romantic" HDB carpark lamp in less than 5 minutes. I paiseh and quick quick finished off the job as I never expect to receive such a service from him. The Verdict ========= Duragloss Plastic Polish works and easy to use. And Benny is fantastic ! Two thumbs ups !!
  16. I have noticed that most of these products carry petrol distillates, that's why it's recommended that usage be done in well ventilated areas. Was about to buy a 3* product on polish abt a year back but it carried a health hazard warning. Recently saw it at another store with new packaging and the warning has been reduced to something more subtle, that it contains petroleum distillates. This triggered me to do more search. Further search online got me this ' Car Wash, Car Polish
  17. anyone tried it already? better than the previous formula?

  21. I just did machine polishing this morning and found 2 spots with swirl marks. Its was like the paint melted and curd there after. Causing some unsightly marks. I do not wanna doubt the company involved but could it be the machine's doing?
  22. just bought from autobacs. any idea if i can use this for wax application instead of just polish as well? did a google search but found no results on using it for wax instead of polish. http://www.autoglym.com/ensg/product-prodd...KMG&Range=3 thanks

  24. Dear MCFians, Need product recommendations to polish my black coloured MR-S Soft Top. It's turned matt black and was wondering if there is any product in the market to restore it to a shiny black tone. Any advice will be much appreciated. Thank you. Regards Luke
  25. Was in JB yesterday to buy some stuff. But first stop was at the former car wash of Shell station after CIQ. They have 20% off now CNY promotion. Took 3.5hrs to wash, clay bar, polish, wax with sealant and creaming the leathers. They used AutoGlym in all the works. My car body and wind screen was very rough due to the area where I work and has not been waxed the past 1 year. After RM200, now like show room condition. Mei mei and smooth. Am pleased with the work. Thought it took quite a while but the place has WiFi, so not so bored. Anyone tried this place before and what would be the price in SG for 3-in-1 polish and wax using AutoGlym?
