  4. Just wanted to ask, for those who own Volvos, how was the polish from SM when you collected your car? Cause when I got my S40, I noticed that the light on the bonnet has a kind of diffused quality, like warped rays of light spreading all over. A friend told me that it was cause the polish job was shyte and that there are very tiny swirl marks all over. You can't see the marks, but the light diffuses in weird angles. Firstly, is this normal, and secondly, would a wax job correct this? Car is about a week old, was wondering if I should actually start polishing it/waxing it already. After all the manual recommends a one year hiatus before I start on the elbow grease..Other than that, its been the usual shampooing and scrubbing of the rims with one of those soft brushes..man those rims get filthy after a few days lol
  5. I'm refering to those polishing tools that rotates. Are those using batteries or electricity? How do I get to start using it with? I would like to learn to do polishing of my car D.I.Y style, any tips on how to start, using what kind of wax and etc... ...
  6. Hi, anyone tried the above? Pls give comments... www.carworks.biz
  7. Hi,after waxing/polishing do you wash the car weekly with car shampoo or just plain water and dry off ? Heard from glooming companies that weekly rinse off with just water is best to prevent the sealant from deterioting...Any comments from bros here.. Cheers
  8. Hello people... I just bought my new car, Mazda 2 and I would like to know if there is any recommendation of good car polish and wax... And also where to purchase it... Thanks and hope to get good replies...
  9. Pardon my ignorance, I read with interest a posting sometime back about the harm that too regular a polishing can do to your paint work. I was informed that frequent ploishing will only thin out the paint. Is that true ?? What harm besides that do regular polishing does besides the soreness felt on the arms...
  10. Hello, I'm looking for a good polishing service for my ultra careful father-in-law. Wonder if anyone got a good and reliable recommendation? Synthetic wax (like Zaino) or Natural Carnuaba Wax Zymol is fine.
  11. Hi all, I tried using zaino z2 last nite to polish. wet my applicator, spread z2 on it and go ahead to apply in in top down motion on my bonnet. Let it dry for maybe 45mins while i proceed to clean my interior. tried to buff off later. wah danz. GAN SIONG! i wipe damn hard the streaks of z2 are still visible. tell me its suppose to be so siong else i'm weak lah any other ways to make it an easier process? use z5 or apply z6? help !!!
  12. Hi experienced bros... just wanna ask how often u polish and wax/apply sealent to the vehicle? I think that polishing should be once every 3 months since it strips off the microscopic top layer of the paint, and apply the wax/sealent once a month to maintain the shine... is this the norm? BTW, the products used are Autoglym's Super Resin Polish and the Extra Gloss Protection.
  13. hi guys. saw on mag this month tat there is a new type of polishing for car using a glass compound to act as the sealant. seems very impressive on the mag, wonder if anyone here going to try it out or tried and able to share some experience?
  14. Any recommendations for good polishing services??

Hi, Anyone use them before for grooming? Understand that they use Meguiar's product. Better still if got pics to show. Please advise. Do they have a website?
  16. Has anyone bought and used a polishing machine that the professional polishing guys use? Saw 1 at Autobacs going for 30 bucks and thought, if it can cut down the time of polishing and waxing to half, its definitely worth it. But is it good for the paint work or is manual better? Any comments is appreciated.
