The netizen subsequently sought medical treatment at Changi General Hospital for his injuries following the accident. The Lapse Currently, the netizen wishes to seek clarification from higher authorities regarding the lapse in CGH's medical report. Furthermore, to seek the justice he deserves, the netizen tagged the Ministry of Health, Changi General Hospital and Mothership in his Facebook post to grab their attention on this matter. SINGAPORE - It is official. German premium car manufacturer Porsche is setting up a new retail business in Singapore, a move first reported by The Straits Times last month. A new $1 company called Porsche Singapore Pte Ltd has been set up for the purpose, ST has learnt. According to the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (Acra), the company was incorporated on March 22 this year. Its main activities were stated as retail of automobile, parts, accessories and lifestyle products, as well as the repair and maintenance of motor vehicles. These are all functions currently undertaken exclusively by Porsche dealer Stuttgart Auto, which is part of Mr Karsono Kwee's multi-franchise Eurokars Group. According to Acra, the sole shareholder of Porsche Singapore Pte Ltd is Porsche Asia Pacific, the manufacturer's regional office stationed here. The car will debut at the double-header contest in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia. “With the Taycan Turbo S as the official safety car, we’re making an important contribution to track safety and also underlining the importance of Formula E for Porsche Motorsport,” said Thomas Laudenbach, vice president of Porsche Motorsport. Porsche modified the electric sedan with all the necessary safety car kit to make it race legal – roll cage, fire extinguisher, bucket racing seats, and six-point harnesses. The car also received flashing lights integrated into the bumpers, wiring harnesses for the safety car lighting, and a Marelli Logger System. Inside, other noticeable changes include the row of switches on the center console and the enticing red button on the steering wheel. The Turbo S should have no trouble keeping up with the race cars on the track. The Taycan produces 750 horsepower (560 kilowatts), allowing it to hit 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in 2.8 seconds with launch control. It has a top speed of 161 mph (260 kph), which is just 12 mph (20 kph) less than the Gen 2 Formula E race cars. The new Taycan Turbo S safety car also wears a unique livery that’s more than an attractive design. All 11 teams are represented in the paintwork, including the FIA and Formula E. The Porsche Taycan joins BMW in supplying the series with safety cars. BMW offered the i8 Coupe and Roadster, followed by a modified Mini. The three will be at various Formula E races around the world, including London, New York City, Seoul, Mexico City, and more, for the upcoming season.

It is not yet clear what caused the blaze aboard the Felicity Ace, but all crew members are thought to have been rescued from the vessel, industry website Auto Evolution reported. Among the cars believed to be on the ship is a Porsche 718 Spyder belonging to You Tube star Matt Farah. “I just got the call from my dealer. My car is now adrift, possibly on fire, in the middle of the ocean,” he tweeted. Volkswagen Group acknowledged the incident in a statement but didn’t provide clarity on the cause. A spokesperson told Insider in a statement: "We are aware of an incident today involving a cargo ship transporting Volkswagen Group vehicles across the Atlantic. At this time, we are not aware of any injuries. We are working with local authorities and the shipping company to investigate the cause of the incident." A Porsche app referenced the incident but did not appear to provide details of the issue. “We are aware of an incident aboard the Felicity Ace, a specialized cargo ship carrying certain Porsche vehicles. This incident occurred at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6, which involved the driver of a Porsche Macan and a motorcyclist. The dashcam footage is a user-submitted video from the motorcyclist mentioned earlier (with very bad dashcam placement). According to the motorcyclist, the entire incident sparked off when the Porsche had stopped 'very closely' next to the motorcyclist at the traffic light. The motorcyclist was stationary in between a 'right-turn only' lane and the rightmost 'straight-only' lane, while the Porsche was at the rightmost 'straight-only' lane. Upon the traffic light turning green, the Porsche Macan floored the accelerator to push out 400Nm of torque and 261bhp. Along with its all-wheel-drive capability, the Porsche SUV overtook the motorcyclist in no time. However, the Porsche's overtaking manoeuvre was apparently 'too close' to the motorcyclist's liking. I mean, being 'too close' to another vehicle is what you get from lane-splitting, right?! Dedicated F1 fans here might know there's a Netflix series based on it called "Drive to Survive". I haven't watched a full episode of it — since the current 2021 season rivalry between Verstappen and Hamilton is more than enough drama for me — but I'm aware of its great production quality. The video abruptly ends with the cam car speeding through the condominium's carpark, leaving viewers on a cliffhanger. Needless to say, the Porsche will eventually be caught as there is only 1 entry and exit within the condominium. Oh no, this white Porsche Macan is going to get flamed online by neitzens everywhere with his/her brake-checking skills. Spotted on SG Road Vigilante's page is this video of a Porsche SUV that is pissed with the camera car not giving way on 30th of Nov 2020. Everything started from the junction of Upper Thompson and Braddell Road with the Porsche slowly catching up to the camera car which was going a decent speed. The Porsche then wanted to overtake on Braddell road for a few times but somehow luck was not in his way and the camera car seemed like it was blocking the SUV. With ego getting the best of the SUV driver, the Macan then a bad judgement call at Braddell Underpass, trying to cut into the camera car's lane without signal. Funny thing is throughtout the other parts of the video, the Macan did signal his intentions mostly... From then on, it then seemed like the Macan wanted to give the camera a piece of his mind and brake-checked the camera car after finally overtaking it. Was it solely the fault of the Porsche? Or was the camera car in the wrong for not giving way despite knowing the Porsche had intentions to overtake? It does take two hands to clap afterall...

Filming for Red Notice hasn’t exactly been smooth sailing taking into account the coronavirus pandemic put the brakes on production earlier this year. Work on the movie resumed in September, but it wasn’t without hurdles as “The Rock” took to Instagram to reveal a funny yet costly problem he had. Long story short – he couldn’t fit inside a Porsche Taycan that was brought on set to shoot a scene. The “big chase sequence” as described by the former professional wrestler took months to prepare and high production costs, which included buying a Porsche Taycan and shipping it to the film location. Meet the 904 Living Legend concept from 2013, a member of Porsche’s Unseen collection of design studies that was released recently, out of the blue. While VW chose a carbon chassis for reasons related to unbelievable fuel economy, Porsche’s take was to create a purist’s wet dream; a small mid-engined coupe that barely weighs over 900 kg (1,984 lbs). The biggest surprise is in the engine bay where there’s no four-pot or flat-six, let alone a V8. Porsche’s engineers downsized the powertrain recipe to a V2 inherited from a motorcycle. When VW developed an XL Sport concept back in the day and it too had a V2, a 1.2-liter engine from the Ducati 1199 Superleggera. It produced 200 horsepower and revved all the way up to a screaming 12,000 rpm. To imagine the performances this Porsche 904 Living Legend would've had, we’ll remind you the 2014 XL Sport did 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.7 seconds and had a top speed of 168 mph (270 km/h). It’s worth pointing out the VW was a tad lighter, weighing only 890 kg (1,962 lbs). The two new initiatives are meant to help protect customers by minimising contact with salespersons and service staff. TEST DRIVE A PORSCHE ALONE In order to set up an unaccompanied test drive, customers will first speak to a sales consultant via a WhatsApp video call. During the call, the consultant will highlight the key features of the vehicle before confirming the solo test drive appointment. To qualify, drivers must be at least 24 years old and be able to provide a refundable security deposit. According to Porsche Singapore, the security deposit ranges from $20,000 to $40,000. Upon completing the necessary forms, customers will be able to drive the car alone for 30 minutes. Porsche Singapore says this initiative began with the Cayenne Coupe, and that it is working to expand the lineup to include models such as Macan, Panamera and 911 Carrera. DOORSTEP SERVICE Porsche is also making maintenance even more convenient for customers with their contactless servicing programme. Once a service appointment has been arranged, Porsche will collect the customer’s vehicle from his or her chosen location. The car will be returned once the maintenance work is completed. Porsche 3D Printing Engine Piston Technology 3D printing technology is already used at Porsche in prototype construction, manufacturing spare parts for classic sports cars as well as in other areas. In cooperation with its partners Mahle and Trumpf, the sports car manufacturer is now establishing a new milestone in the use of additive manufacturing processes for highly-stressed drive components – for the first time, the pistons for the high-performance engine of the 911 flagship model, the GT2 RS, are now also being produced with a 3D printer. 3D printing allows the pistons to be manufactured with a structure that is optimised for the loads acting on the pistons. As a result, the pistons from the advance development project weigh ten percent less than the forged series production pistons. They also have an integrated and closed cooling duct in the piston crown that could not have been produced by conventional methods. “Thanks to the new, lighter pistons, we can increase the engine speed, lower the temperature load on the pistons and optimise combustion,” explains Frank Ickinger from the advance drive development department at Porsche. “This makes it possible to get up to 30 hp more power from the 690 hp twin-turbo engine, while at the same time improving efficiency.”

Mezger was born in a small village near Porsche’s hometown of Stuttgart in 1929. He started working for the company in 1956 after graduating from what is now the University of Stuttgart, having avoided being enlisted by the German military just weeks before the end of World War Two. He wouldn’t retire until 1993. Mezger was part of Porsche’s first Formula One programme in 1960. Soon after he developed the 901 air-cooled flat-six that powered the first-generation 911, and would inform the design of all 911 engines until the water-cooled 996. Then in 1965 he was put in charge of “race car design”, where he was ultimately tasked with winning Le Mans… The result was the 917 – Mezger was responsible for its “overall construction”, and the chief architect of its flat-12, which would go on to produce over 1,000bhp in the turbocharged Can-Am cars. Mezger got into turbocharging in a big way in 1974 when he began sticking blowers on 911s. The Can-Am 917s and 911 RSR influenced the road-going 911 Turbo, which in turn led to the turbo’d flat-six that would power the 935, 956 and 962 among others and bring Porsche many, many race wins. When Porsche fans talk about the ‘Mezger engine’, they’re usually referring to the water-cooled flat-six developed for the 996 and 997-era 911 GT3, GT2 and Turbo. Though these cars came out years after Mezger retired, this engine can trace its roots right the way back to his race-winning flat-sixes of the Seventies. The last 911 to use this engine was the epic 997 GT3 RS 4.0. Despite all of that, Mezger said the project he was most proud of was the 1.5-litre turbocharged V6 Porsche developed for the McLaren Formula One team in the Eighties. It won 25 races, two Constructors’ Championships and three Drivers’ Championships (one for Nicki Lauda in 1984, and two for Alain Prost in ’85 and ’86). Michael Steiner, Porsche’s R&D and motorsport boss, said: “We thank Hans Mezger for his extraordinary engineering achievements, which he has done for motorsport in general and for Porsche in particular. The feature isn’t available for Android Auto yet, although that’s not surprising given that Porsche only recently began adding Google’s platform to its cars.
