  1. For those who frequent this branch, pls be aware that their weighing machine at the counter charge higher compare to their self-service machine. I used the counter that is nearer to the exit/entrance area. I forgoten the counter no. I mailed a local Singapore documents. Self-service machine : 245g at S$1 Counter machine : 250g at S$1.50 I paid S$1.50 at the counter. Feeling buay song (being cheated), i walked back and demand for the difference S$0.50. Which government department in charge of catching market stall owner "eat chin tao" (cheat extra gram in hokkien)? I must forward them this email. ================================== Below are their reply. Almost faint after reading it. They didnt even mention that they are going to do anything. That means continue to "eat chin tao" Dear XXX We apologise for not being able to respond to you as we were in the midst of checking this with the business manager. We deeply regret to hear of your unpleasant experience. The self service machine at Ang Mo Kio Central Post Office is working fine. However the weighing scale at the parcel counter is sometimes not accurate because of the pressure from the air conditioner blower above the the parcel counter. Extra few grammes are sometimes added due to this. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you once again for bringing this matter to our attention. Regards, XXX Customer Care Officer Customer Care & Excellence Singapore Post Limited (Reg. No. 199201623M)

Their reply was classic but the entries AFTER was lagi classic Nikon's FB post goes viral due to photoshopped winning entry Nikon Singapore has gotten plenty of flak online after naming an allegedly badly-photoshopped photograph as a prize-winning shot on its official Facebook page on Jan 29, 2016. Screengrab: Nikon Singapore/Facebook Prize winner has apologised for his mistake, claiming it was a 'joke' BY WONG CASANDRA [email protected] PUBLISHED: 7:34 PM, JANUARY 30, 2016 UPDATED: 9:18 PM, JANUARY 31, 2016 SINGAPORE — A post on Nikon Singapore's Facebook page has gone viral with over 25,000 likes, close to 19,000 shares and 4,000 replies — but for all the wrong reasons. In the post —which has since been deleted —, the camera maker had awarded Mr Chay You Wei a Nikon trolley bag worth S$169 for being this week's NikonCaptures winner. He had submitted a black and white photo of an aeroplane flying overhead framed by a ladder, one which many netizens have pointed out to be a badly-photoshopped image.

  5. Parked in the building with the Tanglin Post office in it for approximately 10 minutes.Came back and the carpark cash card reader kept saying that my cashcard was invalid and would not let me exit.I pressed the intercom and an ancient old man turned up,kept asking me to put in another cash card and refused to open the barrier. He said that he would get his supervisor to come over but that would take 1 hour! I lost my temper and yelled a bit and he said that he would call the police ( ? ) .I thought that it was stupid to wait an hour with the moron and gave him $3 ( he gave me a receipt ) and he then opened the barrier. 1. Pissed off because he kept implying that I had used a different cash card to enter . couldn't he have checked on the entry machine ? 2. It was the machine that was at fault - he could have just opened the barrier ! Thoughts ?

  20. but "The Straits Time reports motor insurance premiums are expected to remain at current rates as the segment announced high profits yesterday." After posting five years of losses, vehicle insurers posted an underwriting profit of $50.4 million in 2012 - a 135.1 percent increase from 2011. Average premium collections also saw a small 0.5 percent increase last year of $1,280 - announced the General Insurance Association (GIA) at its annual briefing. The President of GIA, Derek Teo, told The Straits Times, average premiums should remain constant as long as there is underwriting profit. He also credited the Motor Claims Framework which combats deceitful and inflated claims for the continued profit. Mr Teo estimates 20 percent of the $700 million in motor claims incurred last year to be fraudulent or inflated. The Motor Claims Framework was set up in 2008, and calls for all motorists to inform insurers of accidents within 24 hours. This makes it easier for insurers to investigate accidents and resolve disputes, cites Mr Teo. Mr Teo also credited the Financial Industry Disputes Resolution Centre, which handles non-injury claims of up to $3,000 to help address inflated claims. Several critical issues face motor insurers, one being the rising number of accidents involving foreign-registered vehicle, from 5,286 reports two years ago to 5,537 reports last year. The large influx of foreign registered vehicles is attributed to the opening of Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World Sentosa integrated resorts. The increasing number of injury claims also remains a concern, with 19,310 motor injuries reported last year, a 19.4 percent increase from 2008. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When they earn money they don't raise your premiums. When they don't make a profit, they raise your premiums. So when would they actually lower your premiums???

  22. Transsexual man jailed for oral sex with boy, 15 A TRANSSEXUAL shop assistant has been jailed for 15 months after luring a 15-year-old customer, who went to buy pancakes, into having oral sex. The victim, a student, had been playing computer games at home when he felt peckish and went to a 7-Eleven store to buy a snack at around 2am on Jan 8, 2011. He struck up a conversation with Tan Yeong Perng, believing him to be a woman as the then 34-year-old store assistant and cashier had long hair and wore make-up. Tan, now 36, had breast implants done years earlier in Thailand. He has a sexual preference for men and cross-dresses as a woman, a district court heard. The shop assistant asked the victim for his name, age and where he lived. The teenager claimed he was 16 and lived near Ang Mo Kio. While the student waited for his pancakes to be prepared, Tan went to the toilet to touch up his make-up. When the shop assistant came out, he led the victim to the storeroom and started kissing him. Tan pulled off the boy's shorts and committed the obscene act. The teenager's legs accidentally brushed against Tan's groin and he became suspicious. To confirm his suspicion, he touched Tan's groin - and discovered that the shop assistant was a man. In a state of panic and shock, he tried to pull away from Tan and felt the latter's teeth on his private parts. Eventually, the victim managed to get away and left. When he got home, his mother noticed that he immediately went to take a shower. She also found it odd that he then lit some joss sticks to pray at the altar. Asked what was wrong, he cried and told her what had happened. She called the police. Yesterday, District Judge Soh Tze Bian backdated Tan's sentence to Oct 30 last year after he had admitted to abusing the victim. Deputy Public Prosecutor Kavita Uthrapathy had asked for a jail sentence of at least 14 months, given the aggravating factors: Tan was a good 19 years older than the victim; they were strangers and he took advantage of the teenager. "Needless to say, the victim is traumatised by the incident," she said. Tan had a charge of molesting another teenager at another outlet taken into consideration. The shop assistant, who said he was sexually abused when he was a child, was found by the Institute of Mental Health to be suffering from alcohol dependence. He could have been jailed for up to 10 years and fined for sexually abusing the teenager. [email protected] the bolded part sibe funny.... [:p]
