A certain individual (Mid Level) requested for further insights / analysis on project A where completed . The said project was handled by internal stakeholders and external stakeholders. Given that the project A was aired within external stakeholder's inventories , they will have a lot insights/data. External stakeholders sent very raw insights (in excel) to internal stakeholders where not very much helps on analysis which could help on phase B of the said project. The "individual(Mid level) asked for more insights from extenal stakeholders, this shxt arse said "Sorry , we don't provide this, usually in excel only ". The "individual" du lan, and feedback this to his superior. His superior sent a email to the external stakeholder requesting for further insights from the "individual" email thread. The said external stakeholder kia si , leg turn jelly already and replied they will expedite anyway they can from this. Do you guys face this issue too and how do you deal with this people ? There is this chinese term somewhat called : Go Nian Kan Ren Dee !
  7. This question was raised 2 hours ago during my lunch time: how to properly shut down a car engine (automatic transmission only). I am pretty sure a lot of us do this: 1. Stop the car in your parking lot. 2. Push the gear to Parking mode (P). 3. Pull the hand brake. 4. Turn off ignition. 5. Remove keys. A few of my colleagues had different procedures, which they claim they heard from their friends that this will prolong the lifespan of their gearbox: 1. Stop the car in your parking lot. 2. Pull hand brake. 3. Put gear to Neutral (N). 4. Turn off ignition. 5. Push gear to Parking mode (P). 6. Remove keys. Which method is the correct one?

  9. much closer to home this time. SINGAPORE - Passengers on a Singapore Airlines (SIA) flight bound for Shanghai on Saturday had a bit of a scare when both engines experienced a temporary loss of power amid bad weather. The incident occurred at 39,000 ft about 3.5 hours after Flight SQ836, operated by an Airbus A330-300, left Changi Airport. "Both engines experienced a temporary loss of power and the pilots followed operational procedures to restore normal operation of the engines" said the airline's spokesman. The flight with 182 passengers and 12 crew on board continued to Shanghai and touched down safely at 10.56pm local time, he added. The engines were thoroughly inspected and tested upon arrival in Shanghai with no anomalies detected. SIA is reviewing the incident with engine maker, Rolls-Royce and Airbus.

  13. Hi, I am driving a 2006 Toyota Vios. This morning when I wind down my car window, the window misaligned. I tried to wind it back up but it just got stuck there. As it was auto window (driver side), it went up and down again. Is this due to the power window module up lorry?
  14. My Daihatsu Sirion 1.3 has min RON of 91. Always been pumping 95RON until recently, pumped 2 tankfuls of 92RON discovered some sluggishness whenaccelerating and mileage dropped by about 1km per litre. My friend who drives a petrol driven Toyota Hiace school bus also told me he pumped 95RON due to lack of power for 92RON. is this true, or must engine timing be retard for it to accept 92RON?

  19. ...... nothing last forever theory? http://www.todayonline.com/singapore/pap-could-lose-control-power-over-next-15-25-years SINGAPORE — The People’s Action Party (PAP) could lose the dominance it currently enjoys in Parliament in 15 years, said prominent businessman Ho Kwon Ping yesterday, adding that the party could completely lose power a decade after that if the history of dominant political parties around the world is anything to go by. “This is actually not a radical conclusion — almost everyone I informally surveyed broadly agreed with it, but (differed) only in their estimation as to how many years it would take before the PAP would lose an election and how many terms it would stay out of power before bouncing back,” Mr Ho added. Mr Ho, who is executive chairman of Banyan Tree Holdings and an S R Nathan fellow, raised the scenarios at an Institute of Policy Studies (IPS)-Nathan lecture, where he spoke about politics and governance to an audience comprising about 300 civil servants, students, academics and members of the private sector. In theory, freak election results, splits in the PAP or a massive loss in legitimacy due to corruption are possible factors that can cause the PAP to lose power, said Mr Ho. Other factors that could delay or speed up the process include the level of support from elderly voters, “internal rigidity and intrigues” in the PAP cadre system and possible loss of economic competitiveness. Noting that ruling parties in democracies have “generally floundered” after 50 to 75 years, Mr Ho nonetheless said the PAP is “very likely” to overtake the record of Mexico’s Institutional Revolutionary Party, which lasted 71 years. This is because the PAP has not exhibited signs of moral exhaustion and an onset of decay as seen in other parties by their middle age, he said. There is also no evidence to show that corruption has increased in Singapore’s public life, despite a few scandals involving mid-level bureaucrats, said Mr Ho, arguing that Singapore remains exemplary among its neighbours and counterparts in developed countries for its low level of corruption. Still, the PAP will face considerable challenges after the “very popular” Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong reaches his 80s, he said. Mr Ho said the Civil Service must develop its own sense of self, ethos and values as elections become more volatile. This is not to distance itself from the ruling party, he added, but to develop a culture and identity that is robust and resilient.
  20. I drive a over 200bhp V engine and tend to leave many cars behind at traffic lights even when I am NOT driving fast... is my car more powerful by engine type.

  22. Hi to all current or ex Wira owners, I have noticed that the power delivery during top 3 gears for wira 1.5M are rather unresponsive resulting in slow pick up. But from 4th gear onward, the power & response seems ok. For an old model like wira, my FC is often 12km/l or more. Is wira a high revving car, dun get me wrong...I dun relate this to a civic vti..wat I mean is could the max power be designed to be at higher engine revs thus mey need to rev it to obtain the max power output. I ask this qn because I have driven many cars that pick up speed much faster than my wira but when they reached 130km/h or so, their response seems to be slower. However, at the same speed, when I tap the accelerator of the wira & the response still comes pretty fast even thou I could feel the lightness of the wira. What is surprising is at 130km/h or so, the accelerator is only depressed abit, does that explain the frugality of this car? Last qn, I realised when engine is cold, my top 3 gears shifting are often not smooth. I consulted mechanic and he explained that it could be due to something called synchromesh which quite a no. of cars also experience this. This feeling will go away only I have driven for a longer time in a day (example: covering at least 30 or 40km), and the gear change would become smooth. Can anyone here shed some light? To those if your reply is going to be unconstructive criticising a make or model, pls dun post anything at all cos this is a genuine discussion. Thanks! Cheers...
  23. Any suggestions from any bros out there? Would the generic power steering fluid that petrol kiosks sell be suitable? I saw from my car manual that it should be WSS-M2C204-A2 type. Any suggestions for similar / eqivalent? Thanks in advance!
