  1. Hi The recommended tyre pressure for my car is 220psi. I believe that this is the pressure when the wheel is cold. However, the wheels are normally warm when I pump the tyres. Therefore, pumping in 220psi when the wheels are warm may not be equal to 220psi (in fact lesser right?) when they are cold. What is the pressure difference could it be? Is there a rule of thumb method to compensate for the difference in the temperature when pumping the tyres? Or the difference is so little that we don't have to bother... ;-p
  2. Hi, Does anyone here has any problem with the above said sensor before? Mine's a 2001 Skoda Fabia 1.4. Damn sensor keep beeping everytime , engine oil level's ok, should be sensor issue. Anyway, I asked for parts from Servotronics since February or March, no updates till now. I'm thinking of going Eurohaus or AutoSpritze to fix it soon. Any leads if I want to get the sensor myself and bring it to the workshop? Xinzhong, United Motors etc ?? Regards, Slowdive
  3. Hi, Am wondering what pressure you're putting in your tyres... Does anyone know what's the maximum pressure allowable and what happens if you pump in too much air? Will the tyres "burst"? I'm pumping 235 for both front and rear, but my front passenger side seems to be losing air more often then the rest. Other than that, it's more bumpy but the road holding on cornering is much better than 220.
  4. i changed my 14' wheelcap today.(175/65/14), i am driving a city idsi. change it for 15 SSW with ST115.(195/50/15) what should my correct pressure be for the tyre? any comments about the rims and tyre
  5. Hi guys, I've been going through the servicing sheet, and one of the item is checking of tyre pressure, including that of the spare tyre. The checklist even includes the 5 individual tyres, and not just lump them up as one item. Was wondering how true is this, or do they 'check' it on paper only? Anyone tried deflating their spare tyre, and see if it is inflated back to the original pressure? Maybe if someone do that, there'll be a new item in the receipt - 'Pump spare typre - $5'...
  6. If Tyre Pressure is not right, Tyre Life, Fuel Economy and Braking Performance will be reduced. On the other hand, too much pressure is also no good. So can anyone can advise how you gauge the right pressure for your car?
  7. what is the correct pressure for tyre? I am driving a city idsi auto. Does the pressure varies with different type of rims (14 or 15) or with different type of brand tyre or what?
  8. hi bros and sis out there....just bought and installed a oil pressure guage.....was told it can help check the health of the engine...but then...mine is in bars....anyone can tell me wat is the correct reading for a health engine?...it the reading universal for all NA engines???.....aand one more thing....when u rev the car...does the oil pressure increase or will it stay at one constant reading for idling and moving???...and does it move like a vacuum guage??? a million thks...
  9. Hi, anyone know the detail of this product? It has one screw to adjust the idling fuel pressure. How about rise rate? Is it 1-1psi, i.e. 1psi fuel pressure increase corresponding to 1psi manifold pressure increase ? Or it's it with "rise rate" feature? if was, how many psi fuel pressure to 1psi intake pressure??

  11. sorry for this post but after reading and surfing I still don't understand. My reading is 195/60R15 88H What is the correct tyre pressure? What is the PSI? Is the pressure same for both front and rear?
  12. Hi, anyone help me, what's the air pressure for front and back tyres? As you all know, Getz 1.6 comes with 15 inches falken tyres. I couldn't find PSI for my car tyres on my door side. All shown on the door is for stock tyres.

  16. Hi guys, I want to know what pressure normally you guys set when you do regular refilling air on your tyres? I am driving a Nx coupe. and oso.... anyone knows where to buy the screw-on cap for the sport rims? mine has cracked and 2 of them missing liao...keep looking where to buy them but no avail. 17. can any bro pls help??juz install these meters but duno how to read and what is the correct reading!!
  18. Not sure whether this has been asked before. I just to to pump air for my tyres cos I suspect the low pressure is causing my fuel consumption to increase. Checked the guide at the driver door. It says "33PSi when cold". How to pump when cold ? normally we have to drive to a station ma. So do we pump higher or lower than recommended pressure when the tyre is not cold ? thanks
  19. I notice that after every 2-3 weeks when I go to the petrol station to check my tyre pressure, there is a drop of about 10-15 Kpa on all tyres. Normally, I check the pressure in the morning (almost same time always). Everytime, the tyre start to inflate from around 230 to the set pressure of 245. Is this normal or there is something wrong with the tyre and rim ? FYI, my previous car did not have this problem.
  20. I just shod my car with new shoes but upon checking the tire pressure. Was shocked to see it in excess of 38psi cold! Dunno if pxx xxxg had done the right thing. The recommended tire pressures for the Aveo from up to 14" rims and tires are 30psi for both front and back. Should I reduce the pressure to the recommended. I'm using 195/50/15 Falken Azenis ST115.
  21. I am driving a 2.0L car with a 205/65/R15 Toyo tyre. Just got my tyres changes about a month or so ago. The "tyreman" said the pressure for all the tyre should be 250KPa (36PSI) but most of the web pages and manual that I check for my car should be about 230 (33) for front and 210 (31) for rear or if full load then should be 230 all tyres. I am pretty confused .... when I am on 250KPa it feels quite bumpy and when I am on 230 it is less bumpy but the tyre (especially the front) looks deflated. Am thinking of changing the pressure to 250 KPa for front and 230 for rear ... do you think it is a good idea ?
  22. Hi, My Autogauge oil pressure meter shows between 95-110 and will not drop when engine is idling. Normally it is about 40+ when idling. Any reason why? Meter not working properly? Or something really went wrong with my oil pressure? Check my oil stick was ok, and no oil leak below car. Appreciate your help. Thanks.
