  1. Hi, I had a very funny situation whereby all my 4 tyres were unable to know what pressure are currently therefore resulting the gas station's air pump go ERROR msg. Tried at 2 stations and all both same problem. Now tyres feels under pressured judging the ride is soft.. What could be the problem? Happens since 1 mth ago and cause slight low mileage.. Pumps are functional as other drivers uses and all had sound once pressure is reached.. :( ???
  2. Finally!!! The pump price is lower!!! Pump Price News
  3. Today a bit frustrated. After pumped full tank at SPC Siglap, expected to be given additional $4 discount for the $90 petrol like last week, but was not given. Then found out that the discount only valid in SPC Bedok beside Bedok Stadium! Wasted $4. So if you pump SPC and stay in Bedok area, do pump at SPC Bedok to enjoy the $2 discount for every $40 petrol. Valid till end of April only.
  4. How come sgd so strong against usd but cannot defray rising crude oil? In 2007/2008, crude is usd140+, usd/ sgd 1.44+, ron95 petroleum in sg cost $2 per liter. Now crude is usd120, usd/sgd 1.26, but ron95 also at $2 per liter. Is this bec petrol operating cost increase 30% in singapore or authority totally never do anything?

  7. What will you do when you reach home after doing a engine oil change and find that the workshop overfill the engine oil? For my case, too lazy to travel back to workshop as it is far. I just DIY a home made pump to pump out the excess oil. Cost me only 50cent for the tube. https://picasaweb.google.com/10143873464241...omeMadePumpDIY# surprised by the look of the oil that was pumped out it is very brown, only used for about 2000km oil used is 10w40 Idemitsu (Touring) fully synthetic engine oil will be using either 5w30 VX super or 5w40 carlub which i have bought for next oil change, will DIY too..lol
  8. I just notice different pump price on the same grade of petrol between Shell and Caltex. For example, from the Shell and Caltex website (at 4-Oct 3.50pm), the Shell 98 (before stn discount) is $1.880/l and Caltex is $1.955/l. I thought in Spore, the pump price are usually the same for all brand. If the different is true, who want to pump Caltex. Anybody to confirm the price difference?
  9. Finally, a letter dat makes sense. But unfortunately, though the oil cartel her is guilty on all levels of anti competive behaviour, gahmen don't give a fark for selfish reasons. ST Forum Mar 23, 2011 Watchdog should monitor pump prices THE Government recently formed a price watchdog, the Retail Price Watch Group, to scrutinise excessive price increases of daily necessities and anti-competitive behaviour by businesses. However, motorists are subject to the whims of petrol 'cartels' which raise pump prices. Caltex took the lead on Monday to raise petrol prices by three cents a litre and diesel prices by five cents a litre ('Caltex raises pump prices on costlier crude'; yesterday). If past behaviour is any indication, the other petrol firms are likely to follow suit. I urge the price watchdog to monitor pump prices and help to maintain fair prices for motorists. Elgar Lee

  17. I was wondering if those who go JB just to pump petrol whether its worth the time and effort since now not suppose to pump 95 or pump 97 at higher prices then pay toll , get in jam and travel to and from home to JB + return will also consume petrol. Whats your calculation like? Incidentally does pumping 98 lessen car engine pinking compared to 97 esp for high performance cars?

I thought the prices just went up 3 cents yesterday. saved a little money by delaying my pump until today. why are the pump prices so volatile and is there even a need to raise the price yesterday if they were going to drop the following day.
