  4. Hi folks. I went to Sim Lim Square today to get a hard drive and walked past Perfect Watch and Electronics on the ground floor. Made a huge mistake by walking in and ended up with a new GPS. I already have a Garmin C320 (as seen here: http://www.bmw-sg.com/forums/interior-sect...html#post107675 ) but when I saw the wide 4.3" screen of the Nuvi 610, I just couldn't resist it. So I ended up with it. I apologise for the camera phone quality pictures. Now to the unveiling. The box Map details Ohhh... What's this? Stuff in the box I took them out and laid them out on my couch. Clockwise: Nuvi 610, carrying pouch, literature and CD ROM, USB cable, dash mount, windscreen mount, cigarette lighter charger, AC charger and adaptor Peel off the screen protector Turn it on Tells me what to do The main menu The travel kit menus Very nice MP3 interface Address search menu System Menu Installation pics coming soon.   5. I was wondering among the bros here, would you honestly purchase another Skoda? For me I really like the Skoda ride, I guess for me getting a good deal of a car is more important than the badge and the local dealer. The value for money part is the most important aspect for me. I am looking forward to the next Superb II, if they are correct with full specs at below 100k can be considered, my only quiz about their statement of a fully spec car is equivalanet to what? But I would like a 86K and below car. If you look at the brochure the full specs looks good, though? Would a current SPB/Octy upgrade?

As per coffee on 05/01/08, i went sourcing around today and got a quote: I need 15 confirmed to get the item produced, and hence there's OEM and GT bonnets that most of us have, they can only make 1 type from 15 orders(means 15 orders to get a EP82 GT bonnet made, another 15 to get an EP80 OEM bonnet made). Price range: About $700 SGD (inclusive of installation) Lead time: 2-3 Weeks. So i need to make a count now to see who's really interested and what bonnet do u have, once we hit 15 I'll get u guys out again to confirm everything.   10. after looking at a number of cars and considering my options. seems like leaning towards a chevy aveo5 or aveo sedan. have test drive the aveo5 liao feels ok for a budget car however I think need to change the rear mirror and gear knob. my headache is now to take the sedan or hb coz for 2k more I get bigger boot space and 1 air bag. of coz the interior is better but the car is 100kg more heavy........ I not light also so have to think abt fc lastly, I should get from SA or AM? AM is new dunno aftersales gd anot SA I read from MCF like damn bad would appreciate all chevy owners to give yr opinion thanx and regards
  11. Normally, petrol purchase should be charge under the SPC name. Is it possible for the petrol purchase to be charge under the car workshop operating within the SPC premises? Anyone pump at spc? Got see ur petrol purchase charge under some other company name? Mine... charge under the spc car workshop name? Not once, but twice. Is it a regular practice?

  14. Hi bros, if one is thinking of getting a 93' civic esi, is there any points to look out for? eg: 1. How to check if the car tio accident before? 2. If the car won't have problems here and there after getting it? 3. Is there a need to send the car for full inspection? 4. Usually, how is the "warrenty" like by the selling company? 5.   18. Hi all, This VW503.01 rated oil has been well-received by VW owners in the USA. In Singapore, Trex101 is the person who imports the oil. Some of the users of the oil, including King, have given the thumbs-up for this cost-effective oil. Having spoken to the importer, there is a possibility for a reduced price for the oil. Normal price: $15/quart Group Purchase price: $13.50/quart (min 120 quarts) I am doubtful if the orders from SOG will be able to meet the min. order quantity to qualify for the group purchase price. According to Trex101, some of the car enthusiast groups are able to fulfil the minimum 120 quarts without problem e.g. - FD Civic Group - Chevrolet Group Proposals: 1. We can organise a group purchase for the oil and gauge the response first within SOG. If the quantity we require falls short of 120 quarts, we can consider tagging along the group purchases with the other car enthusiast groups. However, we will need somebody who knows member(s) of the groups to facilitate the group purchase. 2. We can consider importing the oil directly from USA for the benefit of all SOG and perhaps also VAGSG members. In this case, we need to find out: - the distributor in US - a cost effective yet reliable forwarder for shipping the goods to Singapore. At $13.50 per quart, I believe Trex101 is still makiing a handsome profit out of this business. Looking forward to your views.
  19. I know of some people who do not even test drive the car before purchase. I have a friend who is already thinking of selling off his 2 mth old Camry 2.0 as he found it underpowered. He bought it during the launch, when test drive Camrys were not available at Borneo Motors. Would you purchase your 2nd biggest "investment" (after property) without a test drive? Why?
  20. Hi brothers, I have some questions in my mind and I hope to be able to get some advice from you all. I'm giving up on the Armourall Chamios to dry my Jazz. Instead, I will use it to clean the bottom sides of the car and rims if necessary. Also, I'm going to make some purchase from Detailogy - namely their Waffle weave drying towel and their Detailogy Sheepskin Mitten. Regarding the WWMF Drying Towel, I'm not sure if I should get the 16 by 24 or the 25 by 36 inch. The former cost $25.20 while the bigger one will cost $37. Will the smaller one be sufficient for drying my Honda Jazz? What is the best way of using the WWMF anyway? By using a chamios first, then final drying using WWMF, or using WWMF all the way from wet to dry surface. I am worried that once the WWMF is soaked with water, after squeezing out the water, will it be able to absorb lots of water and give a dry surface again on other parts of the car. Or a dry area is needed for throuogh drying. If it is able to squeeze and reuse, I guess the smaller one will be fine. I thought of getting some normal microfibre cloths to clean the windows too. Probably from Daiso, 2 bucks. Cheap. Mainly to use it with Autoglym Glass Polish. :) Will it harm the external window or the tinted windows?
