  1. Hi folks, Need your opinion on the Engine Oil quality from M'sia compared to SG. Taking more common brands like Esso, Shell and Mobil as example, is there any likely loss in quality or are they the same?

  4. From my own understanding and asking around, I know that there are generally 3 kinds of material that bodykits are made of, namely, PU Plastic, PU Fibre and Fibreglass. PU Plastics are of the best quality as they do not crack or deform as easy. If we go for original bodykits, they are made of PU Plastics. The cons is very very costly. PU Fibre is 50% PU Plastic, 50% Fibreglass. Am I right on this one? Not as strong as PU Plastics but better than Fibreglass. Much less expensive than PU plastic but a few hundred bucks more expensive than Fibreglass. Fibreglass is easiest to crack and looks wavy after a while. Most chiong ones in Malaysia are made of this. But this is really cheapest and much more affordable I have been hearing so many negative comments about Fibreglass bodykit to the extent that I have the feeling that one small knock and it is all over. Have to change the kit and respray. Is it really really so bad? Was thinking to install a bodykit, but really don't which material I should go for. Even Fibreglass bodykits are a few hundred bucks in the least (without spray somemore). If it cannot even take a little knock, even though it is the cheapest still not worth getting. Anyone install and try out with bodykits can give some advice? Thanks!
  5. A list of the improvements made to the Volvo range for the 2004 model year in UK. Not sure if we'll see some of the enhancements in the cars from the local agent, SM Motors, though. ================================================================================ ========== 30-Apr-03 There
  6. Was considering getting a 2nd hand Volvo S80 2.4L 1.5 yrs old, price asked was abt $120k. I thought that was a very good deal although mileage was high, 46k. I did some "research" on car reviews on Volvo cars in general as well as S80. Seems to be 2 camps, either the one who loves Volvo a lot or the other say Volvo is crap. Among the problems frequently mentioned are transmission problem, electrical or electronic problems etc. see http://www.carreview.com . Any Volvo owners here experience these types of problems? The car I was looking at still has abt 0.5 yr of warranty on it. However there are too many reports of reliability issues in the US that made me wary...
  7. Renegade

    Pug quality

Hitched a ride (yup, one of my long-standing hobbies) in a pre-facelift 406 2.0 today and realised that the build quality, while no where near a Mondeo, was still markedly better than the 206. Any idea why this is so ? With all the hard, brittle-feel and sometimes, poorly-fitted rattly plastic parts, I must say I was utterly disaapointed with the baby Pug. Surely the 206 can't be THAT expensive to produce that they need to cut that many corners so that dealers can sell them at the prices they do, right ?
