  1. Hi, Had a conflicting opinion with one of my friends and i hope someone with similar experience can clarify. This is the situation. *The round about is only 1 lane. not 2 or 3 lanes.* Car A is at the small road entering the round about. Car B is at the round about but at a distance away. Car A entered the round about (entire car in the lane) when Car B is approaching. Car B then cut in from the right to overtake Car A causing Car A to bang/"bua" the side door towards the rear bumper of Car B. Whose fault is it? IMO, it's car B. or 50-50. But a friend of mine insisted it's car A and that i should retake my BTT as car B has the right of way. I agree car B has the right of way but right of way doesn't give the green light to bang someone right? In this instance, what is the likely result of the insurance claim? My stand was 50-50. But again, my friend stated 100% fault on Car A. Would be good if i learnt something from someone that has experienced this. TIA
  2. I planning to upgrade my rim size to 19" ( frm 18 ) kana sot by the vossen cv3 chrome rim, getting the replica 1 as only replica avail in 19 and original 1 shld be kan pua expensive lol. Any recommended tyres for street driving with good wet grip? My prev car on 15/16" so popular tyres for me was toyo t1r etc, but fren told me big tyres mostly another level ( price also another level ) Was thinking to do "staggered" as car is RWD so behind put wider. heard mark X very prone to fishtail even when driving normal speed so hoping wider tyres can grip well.
  3. Understand there are legal minds here, so would appreciate your input. I lease a few equipments and have been paying the fee for a few months to even up to 2 years cos they are leased separately. Only a few equipment has got signed contracts, many equipment did not come with any written or signed contracts as the salesman either did not prepare any or he prepared contracts with company names that are not those that were requested. He was supposed to change the names and come back with new contracts to be signed. So a few months to more than 2 years have passed. No contracts signed for many equipments but we have been paying the invoices. 1. For equipments without any contracts that were signed by us, is there an implied contract? 2. For those contracts that were signed by us but we noticed that the company details are incorrect and requested that they be amended, are they valid even though we never receive any copy? Right now the leasing company insist we are under "contract" but is refusing to provide details f when they end and insist we refer to our own copies. Am stuck, I dun have any contract to refer to. 3. Can they refuse to give me a copy of these "contracts"? I just need certainty as to the expiry dates. 4. Worth taking it thru the legal route cos it's not a lot of money involved and legal fees won't be cheap? Appreciate comments especially those who have met cases like this. Thanks.

  9. Alright bros.. My gf's HDB cluster carpark gonna convert to EPS system soon.. The thing is, her cluster's carpark is "Season Only" after 10:30pm.. And many times, i send her home after 10:30pm.. So the question is, can non-season holder enter the carpark (barrier will open or not) after 10:30pm? Cos it doesn't make sense not allowing someone to enter for drop-off.. And if i can enter, i assume there will be a grace period of 10 mins.. what if i exceed the 10 mins?
  10. Got a question for all experts here, assuming i scrap my car and end up with the paper certs from LTA. And if I go on to buy a brand new car, can i use these certs to offset the purchase? I hear that I can do that with no "penalty" on the cert values, rite? Is this only true for distributors like Kah, BM .... How about for PI? Are they subject to this? Or can they deduct some % off as "commission"? Thanks!

  13. Remember when the internet went bananas trying to find out the date of Cheryl’s birthday in a logic question? Here comes another one. Don’t worry, this is pretty simple, as long as you know how to think out of the box. (Photo: Mashable) The puzzle is meant for elementary school kids, who have to identify the number of a blocked parking lot spot in less than 20 seconds. In the question, six numbered parking spots are displayed, with one blocked from view by a parked car. With the numbers, 16, 06, 68, 88, and 98, it does prove to be quite a challenge. The answer is simple: Just flip the image over, and the answer will be right in front you, clear as day. (Photo: Mashable) This puzzle appeared in a Hong Kong elementary school first grade student admissions test, and was circulated on Chinese social media platform, Sina Weibo. According to The Guardian, the puzzle was in fact created by British puzzle inventor David Bodycombe, who came up with the question when he was in a car park in Portugal. It was also published in a 2002 IQ puzzle book for Marks & Spencer. ========================================================================== It is L8 rite?? Cant be 87...

  16. I know one my off days, I don't go back to office to enjoy air con, or use the free internet or photo printer. How about maids off days? Can they stay at home? I mean if they stay at home, do they have to hide in their room? Or can they walk around, watch TV with kids, eat their cookies, surf on their laptop, etc. Just dirty the house and no need to clean up until the next day? How will one feel when the family is cleaning and arranging the house, while the maid is sitting around and watching the owner clean their own house for once. So if the off days are implemented, must the maid be out of the house? Also if the compulsory Sunday off, does it mean 00:00am till 23:59pm, exactly 24hours or what? Anyone with the answer?
  17. Scenario A: A car travelling at 100km/h constantly on an empty road with a fly flying in the car. Is the fly keeping up with the car's speed? The fly would be travelling at the car's speed (100km/h) + whatever its flight speed is (e.g 3km/h) No, but why? If yes, really???!! ===== I actually researched about the answers before but this question always lingered on my mind so I thought to share. Maybe my mind works in a different way, always wondering about weird stuffs. I am also interested in seeing some of the explanations here. Thanks in advance
  18. Hi guys, I've just been involved in a low-speed collision with this kid on a bicycle. What happened was he cycled against the flow of traffic (very fast for a bike too) around a blind corner just when I came through the corner. I managed to brake to a stop, but he didn't and he collided with my bumper and his head cracked my windscreen. He had a small cut and that was it while my bumper and windscreen are now both cracked. Question is: cyclists have no insurance... does that mean that I have to foot the repair bill myself?
  19. I lost my birth certificate and need to get a replacement. Do I need to make a police report (like IC)? How long does it take to get a new copy? 20. Why when a bank rings me up do they ask me to verify who I am?? I see no point. They do not require me to verify when I receive mail from them. In fact it is the bank who should verify themselves to me before I give them personal details about myself. OK it is different if I ring the bank. Of course then I have to verify myself.
