Hi all, Let's say if i have 30k on hand now, can i walk into the car mart and buy a car? Means i pay them in full and drive off without any issues? Any hidden charges or admin fees if i do that? I would prefer a small hatchback car that gets me from point A to point B like a Suzuki Swift. Any recommendations? Thanks for advise.

There are talks about the need to reduce the widening income gap between the low income group and the other groups. Such a reduction has its pros and cons to the society. Do the pros outweigh the cons? Or the other way? The real question is - If in order to reduce the gap, the "repercussion" is an increase in the cost of living for most of us, what kind of increase in the COL you are comfortable with, 4%? Or 8%? Or more? If the cleaners or bus drivers get a pay rise, where do you think the extre money to pay them will come from? Bosses' or dierctors' pay freeze/cut? Or thru additional GST on luxurious consumptions eg supercar prices, $1000 facials, $300 social escort, $800 restaurant dining, etc ? Or it willit come from prices for goods/services the consumers have to pay? Will 4%, or 8% increase in cost of living be acceptable to you?

Question. Say i have a car that has the COE due to be expired in mid 2013, if i lay up the car today until that date, does that mean i get back my COE rebate amount calculated from today-mid 2013? Do i get the rebates back on the day i lay up the vehicle? And how do deregister/scrap the car if it has been laid up? Do i need the car to have all it's parts intact? Or are yards willing to just take in the shell/etc etc?

can a damage rim such as slight warp or bend will cause a slow leak of air? my tire is leaking air slow about 3-5 psi per day the thing is, it is on a slight dent rim only during high speed balancing you can see the rim wobble previously same problem but after i change a new tyre and after about 4000km the problem resurface so back to the top sentence...

bros, yesterday went to regular mech for reg servicing for my 05 vios, usually using sparkplug IK16-xxxx, saw them using IK20-xxx, spark plugs, both are from denso...when asked them, they said as they do not have stock for IK16, they used IK20, assured me the same, in fact more power in sparking, is this true? what is the difference between the two of them? thanks

Recently i traveled behind a truck and the wind screen was hit by a stone. I believe it was from the truck. Size of crack is about a 5cent coin. I can live with it. I have comprehensive coverage. Wind screen is covered 100%. Question is, if I go ahead with the repair or replacement, do you think my insurance premium will increase next year ? Thanks. -

Just to check, alternator comes in different amp ratings. Does it mean a higher Amp alternator is better? Need bros who have knowledge on this to advise. If the higher the amp will it damaged the electrical circuits in the car? Or blown up the fuse? My car uses a 75A but thinking to upgrade it to 90A. Any advise will be appreciated.

Lets assume a Picanto has got a 5-star NCAP rating. If you feel offended that i use Picanto as an example, then lets use a small hatch as the example instead And I know the XC60 has also got a 5-star NCAP rating. So in the event a Picanto and a XC60 had a full head on collision, does it mean the damage to each car is the same? And the driver in the both cars would suffer the same kind of injuries?

Let say u are done with having baby. What contraceptive method are u using now? My wife has been taking pills for some time and i want her to stop as i'm worried about the possible side effects in longer term. Have tried IUD before but she feel discomfort so we removed it. So i am left with, 1) Wife use Hormone Patch. But this is as good as taking pills as it uses hormonal change to control fertility. 2) Wife go ligation. She has went thru 2 rounds of op for my 2 gals. Enough for her. 3) Continue to use condom. But risk of doing raw at times. 4) I go visectomy. Heard is a simple procedure and cost less than ligation. Thinking of doing it.... So married man out there, i want to hear what is your advice.

If I want to respray the car to a diff color, does the workshop needs to remove parts in the engine bay, including the engine? How much will it cost? And how long is the down time?
