  1. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10159106344728766&id=165507888765 Look.. what I scared the most.. slowly we are progressing to a stage where every single thing that happened and labeled it as racist. Hope this is an isolating incident, if not we are in a big trouble.. There are 2 big concern. 1. The way both mainstream and or non mainstream wrote their article on their agenda. News article can have many way of writing, and they way the article is written can subconsciously led us to think in certain direction that the news article want us to believe in. That's very dangerous if say xzy news media want us to believe that so and so race is racist against another race or so on. 2. The use of social media and it outspread. As we all know social media can magnify things if it went viral. What it all mean is that things can get stroke up and become very negative or even cause more anger among others. So that itself is very dangerous weapon.
  2. Our Minister for Home Affairs and Law K Shanmugam's response to the video. Racism is a sensitive topic to talk about in Singapore but it doesn't mean we should avoid it and pretend that it does not exist. Looking at the world today and even in Singapore, we can no longer shy away from touchy subjects but should stand up to condemn such actions. Indeed a worrying trend and seems like we are starting to see an uptick here.

  7. A police report has been lodged against her. Ms Lai is currently pursuing a diploma in Radiotherapy at Nanyang Polytechnic. Though she has removed the tweet, it has been widely circulated on social media, prompting one angry Singaporean to lodge a complaint to her polytechnic and to the police. Police report lodged against NYP student Lai Shimun for posting racist remarks on Twitter

  12. I have been observing this prick for some time...obviously he got issues with malays in Singapore, noticed that he will take the slightest opportunity to provoke malays. Here are some of his insensitive comments I manage to comb through. I will use this thread to compile all his insensitive comments on race. 1)no choice, most is ahbang, see got malay decorated hyundie or kia they dun summon, everything else is prey. 2)lot of malay support manure see their hyundie and kia all manure decal, must park far far away from them 3)melayu? (when an orange rx300 pic was posted by TS) 4)normal , rival malay gangs (MSCP fire, he think rival MALAY gangs did it) 5) still dont see how insentive neighbour relates to the main "race" issue that nobody dares to speak about u dont see summons and tp bikes outside mosques on fridays , unless u tell me entire singapore, 100% are very sensitive deep inside we all know the problem, we know the solution, we dont dare to speak out for fear so lets just move on and suck thumb, unless u intend to join the force and even out the numbers 6)sadly most of these OPC cheats are the "you know wat brand of car" with the "wat type of driver" with the "family of 2 adults and lot of kids" (ONly god knoes who he is referring to) 7)must remember its the cheapest thing that can take a whole malay family ,short of them camping on open deck lorry 8)well notice most are malays (Why so many pOlice decals everywhere?) 9)lots of chao pundeh on the road these days especially p plater driving kias and hyundies must do ebrake one or two time on sharp corner let them skid all over the shop and see how they handle their pathetic vehicles. His defence.. friday u go mosque and spot check see wat % of vehicles there got police decal sunday u go church and do the same i dont want say more later ppl play the "hes a racist" card again and yes i stay near a mosque and a church and no i am not racist, i just anti axxhole drivers
  13. HAHA, MALAYSIA BOLEH! AHMAD UNleashed RACIST remark calling another race "squatters" and giving threats to the race and Indian but never arrested. Instead the reporter, a Chinese female, got arrested instead! Malaysia boleh! Opposition MP Ms Kok also arrested. Raja Petra also arrested. One more to be arrested then can play Mahjong. KUALA LUMPUR : Malaysian authorities Friday arrested an opposition politician, a prominent blogger and a journalist, according to officials and reports, in a crackdown as the opposition plots to seize power. The three were all believed to be held under the draconian Internal Security Act (ISA) which allows for detention without trial and has been used against government opponents in the past. Political observers said they feared the ruling Barisan Nasional coalition, which was humiliated in March elections and is now threatened by the opposition's plans, was planning a repeat of an infamous 1987 crackdown. "Is Malaysia in the grip of another ISA madness, akin to Operation Lalang 21 years ago when there were mass arrests under the ISA and closure of three newspapers?" said opposition lawmaker Lim Kit Siang who was jailed in that campaign. Malaysia's leading blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin, who has targeted government figures on his website "Malaysia Today", was the first to be taken into custody. Raja Petra has already been charged with sedition and defamation after linking Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak and his wife to the sensational murder of a Mongolian woman. Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar justified the arrest, saying the offending articles had insulted Islam and the Prophet Muhammad -- an offence in predominantly Muslim Malaysia. "We have called him in many times and advised him on his statements but he continued until he posed a threat," he said. Tan Hoon Cheng, a reporter for the Chinese-language Sin Chew Daily News, was also arrested after reporting on an outburst from a ruling party member who called the ethnic Chinese community "squatters". Her report triggered a major row in the coalition which is made up of race-based parties. The leading party, which represents majority Muslim Malays, was forced to punish the member responsible. "Her colleagues from Sin Chew Daily are shocked about the arrest," the newspaper said in a statement. "Sin Chew Daily will stand firmly by our editorial position." The Star daily's website also reported that Teresa Kok, a lawmaker from the Chinese-based Democratic Action Party which is a member of the opposition alliance, had also been arrested under the ISA. It did not give further details, but Kok has been defending herself against allegations that she complained about the noise of morning prayers at a mosque in her electorate. She has said the accusation is "preposterous". The Internal Security Act, which human rights groups have pushed to have abolished, allows for renewable two-year periods of detention without trial and is normally used against suspected terrorists. Malaysia's opposition, led by Anwar Ibrahim who is plotting to topple the government as soon as next week, condemned the move to deploy the law as "draconian and unjustified." The Centre for Independent Journalism said the measures "bear a disturbing resemblance to the period in the lead-up to the Operasi Lalang in 1987" when dozens of activists, artists, academics and politicians were detained. "Both incidents are similar in that it relates to ongoing political crisis within UMNO, but manifested as alleged racial tension by the government," it said in a statement. Three Malaysian newspapers -- the Sin Chew Daily News, The Sun which is a free English-language daily, and Suara Keadilan which is published by the opposition -- were also Friday reportedly threatened with suspension. The Star's website said the three had been issued with "show cause" letters from the home ministry, requiring them to explain their actions or face suspension.
