  3. This is a 1.8 liter stick shift Toyota 1zz-fe engine. My usual fuel economy for the last three years on this car has been 12.7 to 13.6 km/lit. I always measure my FC carefully, always top up and wait until warning lights come up. If the pump tops up differently, it should even out if I go to the same pump over a few times. I usually stick with major brand fuel stations, but recently, I used a no-name fuel station near my work place. Suddenly the FC is boosted to 14.5 km/lit. It has been constantly 14 to 15 range, the max is 15.3 km/lit. I've been getting this results for MONTHS, no snake oil tricks on my car (except diy grounding). I'm suspecting that big brand names fuel have already marketed their brand name so much that they know people are loyal to their fuel. Then, they *may* put additives to their fuel that "cleans" your engine but leads to 5% drop in fuel economy, which is good for their business. The lesson is to try out different brands, you may be surprised.
  4. Have been browsing this forum. And notice I have now been treating my "wife" very good. So I decide to do some detailing. After a month (every weekend about 2 hour plus each). Finally some result, but still not very satisfactort leh.. Still lots of water mark and swirl.
  5. Japan's Mitsubishi Motors saw its losses widen in the most recent Japanese fiscal year, as sales continued in their freefall in all the company's major markets. For the recent fiscal year, Mitsubishi's losses topped $4.39 billion, though the wider loss was slightly less than expected in surveys done by Reuters. The company's revenue fell by 16 percent and sales dropped by 14 percent, led by a 37-percent fall in the company's home market of Japan, where Mitsubishi sold just 227,000 vehicles. In the U.S., the company is hoping for a stabilization of sales as new products begin to arrive, starting with the Eclipse that went on sale just last week. A new Raider pickup arrives later in the year, and a rebodied Outlander comes in 2006. Source : http://www.thecarconnection.com/Industry/D...S173.A8661.html Still wanna buy an Evo?
  6. Sorry to bore you guys out ... but thought of sharing. Had a change of plan since there was vehicles available for the driveup, gave up the coach tickets and I drove off in a Honda Accord. Illegal ... please do not follow my example. LOL! The 3 cars for the driveup. The last ... the leading guide car driven by my cousin. Really old but durable car. More to come... Ed
