  1. I want to know what this fellow drank! knn...then ppl double park and cause inconvenience how? WTf. REally clown. Which school he went to shd be closed down. Then if barrier open, ppl can enter n exit FOC?? sheesh......really, they shd do an iq test for those intending to buy cars to weed out dumbfarks like this one Remove carpark entry barriers to ease congestion MOST carparks in shopping malls, HDB estates and schools now use electronic parking systems, which result in manpower savings and do away with the use of coupons. Motorists are charged based on the parking duration. However, this system causes a delay at the carpark entrance as motorists have to wait for the barrier to lift before they can enter. When the carpark is full, motorists are unable to enter, creating a traffic jam. The situation can be improved if the authorities remove the entry barrier. Even if the carpark is full, motorists can drive in and wait for parking spaces to be vacated. There is no need for the entry barrier as the system can scan each vehicle and record the time of entry, much like how an Electronic Road Pricing gantry works. The exit barrier should remain in place, so parking charges can be levied. Ching Yong Hai

  5. Hi bros, Anyone has advice on removing tree sap on your car? I was parking at the zoo today under a tree. When I came out, I saw the entire car was "sprayed" with tree sap. Even my windscreen was affected. I tried to clean and use claybar and Duragloss polish (105), I still could not remove the stains. THe entire car now looks like having chicken pox. I don't know what else I can do now. My vision is blurrede by the spots on the windscreen and the car looks really ugly. Can I send to someone to perform a thorough polish for me or I can DIY? I have some Duragloss products but am not sure if i can use any. Thanks!
  6. Hi Bros/Sis, I recently applied some swirl and scratch removals on my bonnet. However, the plastic trimming was left unprotected when I lay the cloth with the cream on it while doing cleaning up. The next day, I realize that these spots seems to have formed on the black plastic portion as per shown in the image attached. Is there any way I can remove them? I tried normal water, even detailer and glass cleaners, didn't work. It seems to disappear when I wipe it with a wet cloth but shortly once it dries, the spots appears again. Do share with me if you know of any item that can remove the stains. Thank you
  7. hi guys, what do you think is the best way to remove those hazy stains (which is not removable by claybar) left over by bird s--t, tree sap, etc? Vinegar? Bug & tar remover? Eg. Turtle Wax/Meg's. Or Paint Thinner?
  8. I don't know whether you guys notice it or not. The LTA press release they may have forgot to include a number in the factsheet. The average annual milleage for a 2 shift taxi should be more than 1 shift taxi right. So why is it 13,65 km for 2 shift vs 9,129 km for 1 shift taxi? Or is it my eyes acting up? http://app.lta.gov.sg/corp_press_content.a...0zg489zmggadp4u

  13. SINGAPORE: The topic of Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) charges on weekends sparked a lively exchange in Parliament on Tuesday, with several MPs arguing for its abolishment. Minister of State for Transport, Josephine Teo, said in reply to MP for Holland-Bukit Timah GRC Liang Eng Hwa that the introduction of ERP on Saturdays in the Orchard and Bugis-Marina areas has helped improve traffic speeds. Mrs Teo said average traffic speeds, which was below 20 kilometres per hour, had gone up to about 30 kilometres per hour after the gantries were switched on. But authorities will review the charges where needed. Mr Liang Eng Hwa, MP for Holland-Bukit Timah GRC, asked: "Can LTA go a little easier on Saturdays and perhaps even do a trial and see if we were to switch off ERP on Saturdays, what would be the difference in the behaviour of road users?" Mr Lim Biow Chuan, MP for Mountbatten who shared similar sentiments, asked: "If the approach of LTA is to allow some degree of traffic congestion during non-critical hours, surely we can consider allowing some degree of traffic congestion on non-working days like Saturday?" Mr Seah Kian Peng, MP for Marina Parade GRC, suggested: "Perhaps conduct a survey of retailers in that belt and ask them, would freeing ERP on weekends be a move that they support? If they do, then it's (a) win-win for every sector." Mrs Teo replied: "We're always open for suggestions. And the retailers, whether they're in the Orchard area or the Bugis-Marina areas, are very welcome to provide their feedback and suggestions, and we'll consider them carefully." Replying to Channel NewsAsia, Steven Goh, the Executive Director of the Orchard Road Business Association, said: "The suggestion to lift weekend ERP charges on Orchard Road has been a long-time wish of the Orchard Road Business Association. The association certainly welcomes the proposal in the interest of encouraging more shoppers to Orchard Road." - CNA/ck/ac SOURCE: http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/sin...1166974/1/.html and its not only opposition members calling for it

  25. Car has some paint splattered (some are fine dots whereas some are quite big like five cents coin and even a long one) which i suspect is from the paint used for the multi carpark upgrading. Those that landed on the windscreens and plastic parts can be easily scrapped off fortunately. Question: 1. Whats the best way to remove these unwanted paint? Thinner, machine polish, etc? 2. Possible to provide feedback to Town Council/HDB for compensation due to negligence of the workers? Appreciate advise from those that have similar experience.
