Think this must be one of our trouble when come to dealing with removal of double sided tape(foam type).. Normally the tape once removed, will left with some sticky part that still stays on yr car. How to remove this effectively and effortlessly?? Heard alot of versions like, applying hot water, applying medicated oil(alcohol based), WD40 lubricants blah blah blah... Most primitive way is to rub against yr finger to remove them. Any comments??

I use Maquire products on my red car. But after waxing, I have no problem removing the residue. However I noticed the wax (cleaners wax)left some oilly marks on my car. Even though i use 3M microfibre cloth, it still take me a while to remove them. Anyone can help??

Parked my 5 day old G9 at my workplace today and discovered streaks of what seemed like black diesel oil all over the car. Possibly because my office is next to an army transport camp. Tried removing with some car wax but not very effective. What type and brand of cleaner would you guys recommend ? A bit heart pain. Thks very much.

My black SUV is around 18 months old - low usage, only covered 12K Kms, and kept in covered car park most of the time. I have only polished it once so far - more than a year ago. I have a guy that "washes" the SUV daily. So, the SUV generally looks clean all the time. However, yesterday I took a closer look at the paintwork - under the sunlight, and noticed that there are lots of fine scratches and swirl marks. I suspect this is caused by the guy that has been washing the SUV daily - as they tend to carry a bucket of water and a towel to do many cars, and frequently the towel/water are contaminatd with fine dirt (abrasive) that would damage the paintwork. Can I get advice from fellow forumers as to whether these scratches/swirl marks can be removed? Who would you recommend and roughly how much would it cost? As the SUV is already 18 months I'm reluctant to spend big bucks. Thanks in advance.

I just realised my car got lots of water marks under certain lighting conditions. This is after i put on few coats of autoglym. How can I remvoe them? Thanks!

Hi all, I just purchased a Momo Steering Wheel, and got my mechanic to install it in for me (nominal $10 fee) Everything works fine, except the steering wheel is a few degrees off-centre. I removed the horn button/plate, and removed the locking nut, but I can't seem to get the steeringwheel and boss kit off the hub. I read somewhere that there is a steering wheel removal kit...does anyone know where to get it? I was wondering if anyone has advice on removing a steering wheel by force, WITHOUT spoiling the alignment or the collapsible part of the steering wheel. Thanks in advance.

Wondering if any souls out here can help me. I have some oil stains in my new house garage pavement (am stayoing in terrace house) and wonder if I can rid it. My maid has tried it but I have yet to seriously get down to getting rid of it.
