Hi anyone knows where to get good workmanship of repairing chipped windscreen (Front) Ok you may wanna ask me why dunwan go claim insurance, the reason is becuz for AIG it cost $100 to change and does not include the solar films, solar film company wanna charge me $200+ for the front only. So total damage will be about $400 after GST. If you know any shop or FL that can do a good job, do let me know. Thanks alot.

Anyone know of any workshop that have the scanner and software for 2015 voxy? I have a smart start stop malfunction on my voxy and it have shut down my aircon. The car is so new my warranty workshop do not have the software to diagnose the problem. So anyone know any workshop who have the diagnostic tools for this car?

I have found this, anyone has the idea; Personal experience base on 1 of my family car from parallel importers.Many PI & Used Car Reseller have warranty service under this "Optima Workz". I stop going back to this work after 9mths and void the warranty all together after my brand new car was under recall list - suppose to be recall for replacement. Nothing was done after check up(no recall replacement of parts), stating it is okay - WTF. Went to PI and PI push back to workshop, after 3 mths of argument and ban table . I give up and end of the day, I ask my japan colleague to order a brand new part(base on recall stated new part number) and hand carry back from japan since I travel up there a few times a year for business. My 2 cents base on so called PI Waranty is just bull shit.

My car going to due in Dec 2015 and currently hunting a new car now .... Aircon start giving me problem last month, cool air instead of cold air blowing out. Went to see the "MCF recommended" aircon specialist in the north and was told compressor going to kaput. I was quoted $600-$700 for the compressor and decided just to top up aircon gas. After topping up the aircon gas, aircon is back back to norm until today. Went to seek 2nd opinion from another workshop in the north, this time was told the cooling coil leak and need to change else compressor will sure die soon. is it the compressor or cooling coil causing the problem or worst both need to change. Do you think my aircon able to "tong" for 4-5 months by just topping up aircon gas every month?

Any bro's or siss's know of any oven repairman whom does repairing of ovens as mine cannot see the brand as the brand name already scratched out and I don't have the Invoice either too; Never used for so long also (Picture Enclosed) Don't know if its better to change to a new one rather Tks In Advance for any inputs

hi, cousin got into accident, fully his fault. he rear ended another car. damage to his car is minimal, but damage to the other party is serious. boot cannot close, bumper dented with some cracks, bumper and headlights misaligned. just want to know, if he can settle privately, which workshop is recommended (won't carrot chop). another question, lets say the repair bill too high, then settle via insurance, my cousin wants to know what will happen. the car is his company's car and thus under commercial insurance. will his company premium go up? will there be a record on the company or on the driver? this record will be permanent? this record will affect future car purchase?

as turning in the mscp in a tight corner and was abit too complacent. Ended up with the area above the rear wheel impacting the edge of the wall. Sian Half. Another case of hit and run at the car park. Found the front bumper paint chip probably caused by a car turning out of a car park lot. How much would it cause to get it repaired?

Confirmed that my BMW (316 96model) cooling coil is leaking. After topping up gas, the aircon is cold. After few day, when I on the aircon, smoky particles was blown out and afterthat, not cold anymore. The workshop recommended to use OEM copper coil which is cheaper ~$400+ and more durable (at least 4-5 year no problem) rather the original coil which is aluminium, more ex. ~$1,100, though faster cooling but may leak again in just 2-3 year time. The whole repair work cost ard $750 which inclusive labour + materials (copper type cooling coil, dryer, expansion valve) + 6 month warranty. Is the cost reasonable? Anyone can recommend a good repair workshop and price reasonable?

Guys, I have a 8 year old nissan selphy and the air con just died. Tan Cheong is quoting me around $1200 to repair including labour. Is there any reliable and cheaper place to get it repaired? Or is the price from Tan Cheong reasonable? Don't want to spend too much on the 8 year old car. Thanks

My Air-conditoning unit broke down. Fan coil running but there are no cold air. Outdoor unit not running. Make appointment with Daikin to come down for diagnosis and repair. ( All event stated are document with proof of invoices, pictures and records of attendance) The Chronology of event. Daikin Technician came down on the following dates: 10, 17, 22, 29 Sept AND 5 Oct 2015. On 10 Sept 15 – 1800hrs. One technician came down test and replaced the remote control set. System unable to start up. Use the Remote controller to test for Error code (E6) Went to check the outdoor condenser. And check compressor protective device – OK. Afterwhich, told me compressor faulty and need to replace. (Compressor warranty still valid). Make payment of $158.80 for the remote controller. On 17 Sept 15 – 1700hrs. Two Technicians came down. Replaced compressor and connect back copper valve and tube. Replaced Magnetic Contactor switch and its auxiliary connection wire. Took 2hrs to complete. System unable to turn on. Error code (E0). Technician reply : Fan coil electronic module card faulty; need to take back repair / replace. Make payment of $581.65. Labour accessories parts. Received CASH from owner. 22 Sept 15 – 1200hrs. (Prior that, One lady from the Service Dept called to make appointment with me and quoted me to pay them $53.50 for the module card repair.) 2 Technicians came down. Put back the module card at Fan coil unit. Turn on supply. Unable to turn on the system again. Generated error code (E0) again. Technician reply: Suspect outdoor Condenser electronic module card also faulty; need to take back repair/replace together with indoor fan unit’s electronic module card. This time took back both module cards for repair/replace. 29 Sept 15 – 1030hrs (Prior that, one lady from Service Dept called and make appointment with me and remind me to pay them $53.50 for the previous repair. I asked her, if still cannot rectify the problem, how? She replied: we will subsequently ask our Engineer to go down and check) This time, same technician and one Engineer came down. Install back the indoor module card and went outside to put back the outdoor condenser’s module card. Turn on power supply, heard a loud “POP” sound. The module card (condenser) was burnt. Tripped my DB electrical Main incoming breaker (80A) supply. Whole house no power supply. Both Engineer and Technician did further check and reply: Suspect your fan motor short-circuited. We will bring back outdoor module card for further check again. 5 Oct 15 – 1030hrs (Prior that, Same lady from Service Dept called and make appointment with me and quoted me the price $211 for fan motor (Condenser) plus back-payment for the repair of module card of $53.50. I asked her is the problem solved? She replied: can only confirm on the actual day. I asked her why she kept asking me to pay for repair cost. She replied we had already repair the module card the previous time and you have not make payment) Same Technician came down with outdoor module card. Install the card back to condenser outside. Connect to a new fan motor. Turn on power supply. Heard a loud “POP” sound. The Module card was badly burnt (took picture of the burnt module). Circuitry Fuse and Resistor badly burnt. Tripped 3 protective devices - DB Main incoming 80A MCB, 20A MCB for the aircon and also the ELCB. Technician reply: Not sure what happen. Need to check further. No problem with the original fan motor. I instructed them to “Stop Work” and ask them put back my original outdoor module card. Called the Service a couple of time in the afternoon for follow-up. Unable to get someone whom can discuss or get a satisfactory answer from the Customer Service lady. Kept saying, we will refer you to our Engineer. Finally, One Sales Engineer called in the evening. He requested to send their technician to come down and repair again. Suspect maybe some of the components faulty. I replied him: No way! Just refund me the payment made. He replied: We need to go down and take away the components installed previously i.e. compressor, electrical parts and etc, take stock and check everything is in order, put up a report and get approval from Management. Afterwhich, Finance will issue a back payment cheque to you, at least one/two month later. I wanted a letter/memo from him. He said OK. Till now, still did not receive a reply/news from them. Kept Calling the Hotline, Customer Service Ladies kept saying, will get someone to call you. Still NO response from them. Personal opinion: I was utterly disappointed with DAIKIN (S) deliverables. I did a market survey of the price. A brand new set cost me $1,850!!! I have paid Daikin approx $750 and not repaired. I feel short-changed by them!

Hi Car was quite badly damaged on the front, with both front airbags deployed. But workshop say frame ok on inspection. And I'm claiming from the other party. Instead of repair, can I be compensated with the similar value of the repair quotes plus scrap value? Car just left 1+ year, and I don't feel comfortable (and safe) driving such a repaired car. Can I approach the other party's insurer and present them such a choice? Or there's no such thing in the first place. Any views? I'd never involved in such accident before so any advice would help Thanks

Been years since I last surf here actively..... Cannot tahan the new car price so thinking of extending existing 06 Latio for another 5 yrs.... The thingy is.... 1) Aircon Compressor gone again (change ard 4 yrs back)..... aircon can only tahan 10mins before it start blowing hot air..... then switch off for a while.... can tahan a few mins before hot air again. no gas leak so, its likely the compressor issue yet again.... any recommended workshop? 2) Shock absorber seems to be gone.... car always dance across hump.... so I guess need to change again... any recommended workshop and reference quote? 3) ikey...... kiddo drop keys while alighting, and I only realise a few mins later..... trace back, and found the key ran over by a few vehicles.... intermittent working, until it decided to totally give up today. I dun mind using the manual key (have 2 anyway), but would like to have a recommendation for 2 way alarms Thank you guys for the kind attention to the abv inqueries ^^
