last week after i manually wash my car, my reverse sensor got problem. when i reverse, it is the continuous beep. i have check if there is any object behind, but there is none. after that, i drive around to 'dry' the sensor, then the sensor work as normal. then after 1 day, the continuous beep problem come back again when i start my car and try reversing. i have no time to think about the problem as i rushing to go another place. strange thing happens when i wanted to park at the another place, the sensor work as normal again. the same incident happened for another 2 days, start car and try reversing, the sensor faulty. but drive to another place, the sensor working again. seem like the sensor need warm-up? i have went back to do a one to one exchange of the sensor box although the continuous beep problem is gone, i still feel that maybe it is not the sensor box problem. i going to monitor for a few more days. anyone encounter this strange problem before?

lookin for a stand alone GPS (at least 3.5 inches) which can be connected up with the reversa camera. and can search thru postal code. any idea which brand n model to get, and where can get it? saw a brand lilliput, is tat ok? 499

This is interesting.Imagine you have to reverse up a steep , uphill and dark road. Hmm.....maybe the driving test centre can use this to improve all new drivers reverse skill...

sometimes when i engage reverse gear, the display is just a blue screen. Yes, it automatically switches mode but the display is blank. other times then there would be a picture In this case is it a case or connectors loose or camera faulty?

Any bro can comment on the usefulness of a reverse camera (especially Nissan owners - come standard on most Nissan cars, right?). Does it really help in parking? Thinking of installing one on my Grandis. Anyone know of a good deal/place to do the purchase/installation?

Hi, If I just want a simple wide angle reverse camera with monitor installed that can be activated by reverse gear, any place that can do this for a reasonble price? Also, no need TV tuner or DVD player. Just need a reasonable quality set, no need super hi-tech features but also don't want those that will spoil within 6 months. Anyone have lobang can tell me roughly what price range, model/brand and which shop do that? Thanks. Another question, can the reverse camera be activated without going to reverse gear, and then i can use the monitor instead of the rearview mirror?

Met another 100% cheesebun driver in Clementi area today. Drive fast in a carpark, then suddenly stop and reverse your black Lancer without checking your rear! If I had reacted a little slower... you would have knocked into my car... and I bet you will tell your parents and insurance that I rear-ended your car. Without signaling your intention to park, nor did you stopped your car in a slanted position, you think the whole world can read what your little pea brain is thinking! I know you have 2 lady passengers in your car, please don't try this kind of stunt in a public carpark to impress the opposite sex this way. You will get into trouble someday....and when you do, please dont involve other innocent drivers. If you can't drive and talk to ladies at the same time, then I suggest you take a cab or drive without any passenger. The only reason I can think of why you never bother to check before reversing are: 1) you have 2 really chio lady passengers onboard 2) lady passengers were showing off some parts of their body to you 3) You had a sperm-clogged brain after looking at them while driving! axxh0l3 driver!

Hi all, I just want to share a rather unpleasant incident this morning. As shown in diagram, I was turning into a carpark which has a 2-way road. Halfway through the turn, I saw this stationary van at the side and a lorry wanting to exit in opposite direction. In order to do so, lorry has to eat into other lane. When I was in that position, lorry high-beamed me, as though it's asking me to reverse to give way. Normally, in such scenarios, the other party will give way, so i just inched forward. Lorry had no choice but to reverse. But after I passed, I already waved to say thanks but lorry driver just glared at me. Ok lah, maybe lorry reached slightly earlier(abt 1-2s) but is lorry right to insist I give way? Did I do anything wrong to warrant such a reaction? At that time, there are no vehicles behind me or lorry. Comments welcome. Incident.bmp -
To all prospective Superb buyers, locations for placing the reverse sensors are already catered for in the rear bumper cover. It will be adviseable to instruct your SE not to drill additional holes below the rubbing strip for aesthetic reasons. The following pictures were extracted from Briskoda.

Now the question is whether Nissan can get its own house in order after a 54% drop in its latest quarterly profit. Nissan said Thursday that its net profit slumped 54%, to 70.6 billion yen ($591.4 million), in the three months through March down from 152.4 billion yen ($1.3 billion), in the corresponding period last year. As with most Japanese companies, Nissan's fiscal year ends in March. Sales rose 7 %, to 2.8 trillion yen ($23.5 billion), but the rise was offset by layoff compensation and rising taxes. For its full fiscal year, Nissan Motor (nasdaq: NSANY - news - people ) profit fell 11%, to 460.8 billion yen ($3.9 billion), marking the first decline in seven years under Chief Executive Officer Carlos Ghosn. Sales rose 11%, to 10.5 trillion yen ($875.6 billion).

Has anyone fitted concealed reverse sensors (heard there was a strip kind mounted inside the bumper) on their ride ? Are they as good as or better than the usual flush mounted sensors ? Anyone know which shop does concealed sensors and how much it costs ? Thanks

After that, I notice that when reverse(AT) is engaged, there isn't any sound at all ??? Can any expert tell me what has gone wrong ??? Before DIY, it's still working with std sound...beep beep leh ???

dear bros, my wife was telling me when her colleague send her home, the car has in car TV (could receive Ch 5). the same display switch to rear view when reversing.... as i am new to such in car systems, wonder how much it would cost to install that system.... pls advise....

Hi, I have not been driving for 6 years now, but my new ride is coming on Thu. Just wish to hear some opinions on reverse parking. I got my license in the States and was taught to use the mirrors and also to turn my head when reversing my car into the parking lot. But when I return to SG, I notice many of my friends just use the mirrors w/o turning their heads AT ALL (which is surprising to me). Can someone advise if just relying on the mirrors is good enough? Thx. p.s. apologize for the novice qtn, but have not driven for a while, so you know...

Just to check if anything is seriously wrong with my AT. I recently noticed that when I'm on reverse gear it ocassionally vibrate as though the car is about to seize. I checked the ATF level and it appeared to be ok. Could be that the car is slightly overdued for its 70K servicing? Or is it that I need to do a ATF flush which is due in 80K; I did a flush and filter change at 40K. Please advice as I wonder if I should visit the agent or other workshop. Tks!
