  1. anyone saw before cars waiting inside the box marking, preparing for turning right, and in the end make a U-turn instead? Saw 1 yesterday and i think its funny, especially when i saw it stationed right exactly in the box and 1st in the Q, either the driver ( )is kuku, or she had a last min change of mind...
  2. www.fullboost.com.au/news.php?newsId=878 wondering if its really possible to squeeze 900hp out of a 2L korean engine. i think squeezing 500 out is already a problem, dont know how is it possible
  3. hi, just found out that my car right side is slightly lower then my left. because my left side 2 finger can go in freely with abit gap but right side 2 finger go in abit tight. anything wrong about this? and my car will steer abit right while driving.

  6. Hi Bros, Can we add 2 RCA signals (left and right) and use it to drive a subwoofer ? No subwoofer signal out. Use a Y-shape 2-to-1 RCA connector ? Thanks.
  7. heard sometime ago that left tyre and right tyre are different in pattern (to form a symmetry or something). i just changed my tyre but i found all of them have exactly the same pattern. not sure if it's right or not... my tyres are michelin pilot preceda (195/55/R15). the tyre pattern is something like this: -]||_] -]||_] -]||_] so now my car top view looks like this: REAR -]||_] -]||_] -]||_] -]||_] -]||_] -]||_] -]||_] -]||_] -]||_] -]||_] -]||_] -]||_] FRONT is this right? thanks.
  8. Hi guys, need some advice from gurus here I'm using michellin preceda 195/55/15. They are non-directional tires, (ie no sidewall arrow marking). They have 'outside' marked on the outer walls though Looking at the outer thread wave direction, left side points >(front), whereas the right points < (back). Is this normal? My car steers moderately to the left, which is more than normal as it only steers slightly previously. No funny noises, okay braking. Can I just swap the front left and front right tires to cure the steer left problem? I had alignment done at riverview, and after adjustment, kenny swapped the front 2 tires left to right and vice-versa to solve the problem. I'm not sure if the above 'back' pointing and 'front' pointing was there as i had my tires rotated recently. Thanks guys!
  9. Dear all V.W and Skoda owner... For the records I do not work for C&C or CA but rather I have friends in both said company I high-jet this email from vagsg.com by ghoonk and made some changes as we share his view that we should work hand in hand and not against 1 another... after all you have nothing to lose for we are only trying to help and we are not asking for a fee or anything for the help we offer... But the catch here is we will not made any visual contact but we keep in touch via Pm we think we are all in agreement that this is the first time in forum history that some1 has made contact from the agent side openly, and that instead of approaching this from a confrontational manner, we should see how we can really use this forum for what it was meant to be - a channel for two 'opposing' parties to share their points of view. It should not, and will never be (admins ensure that) a place for a one-sided perspective or for people to make unfounded judgements. Historically, management at C&C and CA has not taken kindly to forums such as yours, believing that you people are nothing but troublemakers. Looking forward, as visionary as it sounds, we really hope to take this opportunity for your forum to work with us and resolve such issues before they come out into the open, lot of people in this forum complain about service from CA and C&C. but some we do not agree with all of the accusations, but without a point of view from the dealer perspective (not just CA and C&C), there is nothing we have available to base a defence when people complain. However, we would like to work out a collaborative and informal arrangement with your forum, perhaps we can as a 3rd party 'mystery' representative to help clarify such matters or to try to set records right. We will, on our part, manage complaints and bring them to attention so misconceptions can be resolved offline. Trust us, we do not want to give potential buyers and new owners the impression that they had made a bad buying choice. Rather than continue on this way, we sincerely hope to be able to work with you on proactively addressing service issues as far as possible, or at least to be able to present the point of view from your perspective. We believe that many forumers do not understand the business of the automotive trade. But such an approach, while time-consuming, Can helps to put our worlds back on a path of collaboration rather than confrontation. No one has anything to gain if people keep continue b@*@#*#$g about our service, and if C&C and CA people think you are a bunch of p_^* trying to get people in trouble. Neither outcome works for you or us, so we really hope you all would consider our offer. We have taken the 1st step in hoping that we can make every VW and skoda owner a more happy 1, please help us to help or service you better... Thank you and regards Ngage

  11. Came across this by Jeremy Clarkson when he reviewed the 166 i.e many cars do a better job than the 166 but yet he simply loves it. Definitely a right brain purchase. What abt u?
  12. Sing to the tune of Baz Lurhmann's Everybody has the right to wear sunscreen. Taken from here: http://www.uniquemotorsports.com/...s/impreza_rights.htm If I could offer you only one tip for the future, buying an Impreza would be it. The long-term benefits of driving an Impreza have been consistently misunderstood by scientists, whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable than my own driving experience. I will dispense this advice now. Enjoy the power and beauty of your Impreza. Oh, never mind. You will not understand the power and beauty of your Impreza until something better is built. But trust me, in 20 years, you'll look back at photos of yourself beside your Scooby and recall in a way you can't grasp now how fast you drove and how fabulous the handling really was. You are not as fast as you imagine. Don't worry about where the next litre of fuel is coming from. Or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to beat Richard Burns on a special stage. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your Impreza-addled mind, like the unexpected lack of grip on some isolated mountain pass. Drive around 1 corner every day that scares you. Clean the seat afterwards. Be reckless when driving other people's Scoobies. Don't put up with people who are reckless when driving yours. Polish it. Don't waste your time on super-unleaded. Sometimes you're ahead, sometimes you're behind. The race is long and, in the end, it's only petrol. Make up compliments on your driving. Return the insults. If you succeed in getting genuine compliments, tell me how. Keep your old MOT's. Throw away your old exhaust. Don't feel guilty if you don't know when you'll get rid of the boy-racer in your life. The most interesting people I know didn't know at 22 when they would stop being a boy-racer. Some of the most interesting 40-year-olds I know still are. Eat plenty of kebabs but don't eat them in the car. You'll never get rid of the smell Be kind to your ScoobySport exhaust. You'll miss that when it's gone. Maybe you'll pull, maybe you won't. Maybe you'll get a 22B, maybe you won't. Maybe you'll enter the RAC Rally at 40, maybe you'll drive around Silverstone, nude, at your 75th SIDC Reunion. Whatever you do, congratulate yourself far too much and berate others. Your choice of motor-car is half partner influenced. So is everybody else's. Enjoy your Impreza. Use it every way you can. Don't be afraid of it or of what the lads might think of it. Its not THAT ugly. It's probably the only time you'll ever be able to drive fast. Race. Even if you have no one else to race against but an old biddy in a Mini 850 still do it but expect the occasional humbling experience. Ignore the directions to Prodrive, don't ever follow them. Do not read Max Power, just cut out the pictures and put them on your wall. Get to know your parents. You never know when you'll have to tap them for some cash for your next performance upgrade Be nice to Pete Croney. He's your best link to a faster Impreza and the person most likely to relieve you of a serious amount of dosh. Understand that Impreza models come and go, but with some decent modifications you should hold on. Work hard to bridge the gaps in strength and consistency, because the older you get, the harder it will be to drive 'round corners like when you were young. Drive in London once, but leave before you become a pimp. Drive in Liverpool once, but leave before your Impreza gets stolen. Grin.Accept certain inalienable truths: You will get older. Fuel prices will rise. Traffic cops will pull you over. You, too, will get a speeding ticket. And when you do, you'll fantasize that when you were young, fuel prices were reasonable, jam sandwiches couldn't catch you and speeding tickets were NEVER as expensive as this. Respect psychiatrists. They drive 22B's. Don't assume Admiral will pay up. Maybe you'll have a huge overdraft. Maybe you'll have a wealthy bird. But you never know when either one might stop you from going for a drive that serves no particular purpose and includes some of your favourite country roads. Don't mess too much with superchips or by the time you've reached 10,000 miles your pistons will look like tea-strainers. Be careful whose cheap imports you buy, but be patient with those who supply them. Cheap imports are a form of rip-off. Cheap imports are a way of fishing old stock from the auction, wiping them clean, painting over the accident damage and re-selling them for more than they are worth. But trust me on owning an Impreza.
  13. juz saw this scenario on tv. if i'm abt to reverse to a carpark lot, suddenly one car from nowhere juz dive nose in. do i have the right to come down & give that clown a BOX ?
  14. Dear all, Want to verify that : If there is no "Right Turn" pocket markings on the floor at Cross junctions, we are not allowed to wait beyond the stop line until the "Green" arrow appears? Heard that a relative got fined because he crossed the stop line at a cross junction while waiting to turn right. The "Green Light" was ON but the "Green Arrow" was OFF. Pls advice. Thanks.
  15. *start of rant it was safe to proceed and infront of me was a cefiro. behind me was a taxi, all 3 was proceeding, the cefiro took its time, and i maintain 1/2 car length to enter the gates. and all of a sudden, i got horned by the taxi driver for nothing in the middle of the turn while still maintaining 1/2 car length for some reasons unknown. i got really mad, was fuming and felt my blood boiling and as i straightened out. i stared at the bugger through the rear view mirror. wanted to point out to him at the cefiro in front, but was too fed up to do so. *end of rant looking back, it could have been an friendly/accident tap of the horn, but i doubt it
  16. Actually I'm back at the office. Sun2Hot at PSB Bldg is doing it. I know some JB afficianandos are going to slam me for this but I like the convenience of doing it in SG itself. Cost is 560 inclusive of GST because of my itchiness for greater heat rejection. OK the ran the VLT meter over the stock glass and this is what I got: All sidelights and rear windshield is 80% VLT. Front windshield is 85% VLT. I'm opting for Superlux 70 for the front and Nano 60 for the rear. Superlux 70 has heat rejection of 75%. Nano 60 has heat rejection of 50%. I would have preferred darker tint behind but the best heat rejection is Nano 50 also at 50% but the darker tints up to Nano 40 is 36% heat rejection. So darker not necessarily mean better heat rejection. Lifetime warranty.
  17. Hey all, Here's a newsgrab ... Interesting read! April 20, 2002 - Motoring - Car names that drive you round the bend By Linda Sharp IT'S only a name, but it drives me crazy when I hear someone mispronounce it. I can remember the first time I ever heard the name Toyota. It was 1967, and a girl I worked with at the phone company had just become the proud owner of a new robin's egg blue four-door Corolla. She announced she had just bought a TEE-yota. We all soon learned the real pronunciation, thanks in large part to mass marketing. My first new car was a Datsun, pronounced DOT-son. One of my best friends always referred to it as a DAT-sun. It just about drove me to distraction. The problem was solved when the company reverted to its parent name, Nissan. Which is another ball of wax. It's not NICE-one; it's NEE-san. I grew up thinking XKs were JAG-wires. When Ford purchased Jaguar, it taught all of us better. Properly, in today's marketing, is Jag-U-are, with the emphasis on the U, like the British pronounce it. But the felines down at the zoo are still JAG-wires. But the mispronunciation that irritates me the most is Porsche. It is not 'Porsh', like the way some people say wash - 'worsh.' Porsche is two syllables, POR-sha. Being a niche player, Porsche has relied mostly on print media for its advertising. Don't believe me? At Porsche Cars of North America in Sandy Springs, Georgia, the woman on the phone welcomes you with POR-sha Cars of North America. And the name that's probably the most mispronounced is Hyundai. The Korean marque should be uttered HYUN-day, not HYUN-die. In the same budget segment is Skoda. The right way to say that Czech brand is SHKO-da. And Volkswagen is VOLKS-vagon. Audi is, of course, OW-dee. The French brands can also be tricky. Most people trip over Peugeot. It's PURR-zho, not PEW-geot. If you really want to be Gallic about it, the T is silent in Renault. The Spanish brand Seat is pronounced SIAT, like in Fiat. Not everyone gets it right with Mercedes-Benz, either, especially in Asia. It's MER-say-dees, not MER-see-dis. The short form is Merc, not Merz. - AP
  18. I just removed my P-Plate a few months ago. But one thing I am still not sure till today is who should be giving way while going up or down a typical HDB Multi Storey Car Park. This wasn
