  1. There is a guy wanting to let go of his 16" Bora Rims, and I might be able to get it for a reasonable price for my Octavia. Anyone know where I can get plain, non branded covers that fit stock VW or Audi alloy rims? Thanks.
  2. Hi guys, I have VW logo on my rims of the Fabia I drive and I am beginning to dislike it if onlookers think I am trying to disguise my Faby as a VW make. I am considering various options to debadge the rims but before I do it, I thought I'd create a poll and hear your comments as well. FYI, I got the VW rims because of Option 2 in the polls - Couldnt find a suitable rims for the Skoda except for a VW make - which is Made in Italy! I could find a 16" for my Faby's PCD but then again, my Faby cannot take 16".... as its stock size is just 14" and as it was, its already very underpowered.
  3. Any recommendations for a spray-type wheel cleaner for alloy rims? I'm generally pretty lazy when it comes to cleaning my wheels and am looking for a good spray-on and hose-off type... So far I've tried Meguair's spray and TurtleWax foam, but these don't seem to work well.... Grateful for any suggestions...

    JRD rims

hi, just got one of these 15" JRDs for my family's corolla..i'm kinda bothered by JRDs rep (didn't realise until AFTER I made the purchase) .. weight, reliability, etc.. mine looks like these they're a COMPLETE rip-off of ROH's "Blade" design! right down to the "shadow chrome" finish man! haha  anybody know how heavy JRDs typically weigh? what should I do huh..take out my entire tyre and wheel and put on a weighing scale?
  5. hi all, anybody knows anywhere to do touch up of rims? black g9 on red rims...
  6. besides OZ superleg, what other rims out there are gunmetal? i assume gunmetal are darkish/characoal-color chrome. on the scale of black to white: 1. pure black, matt 2. gunmetal 3. chrome, matt (not shiny) 4. chrome, shiny
  7. decided to post this here since i'm gonna ask about tyres and rims for octavia... hehe i have tried reading up at the "rubber and wheels" forum and other more technical sites on tyres and wheels, but still unable to catch any ball on the explanations of the figures and numbers... hehehe so i thought i will just try and ask around here first instead.... if i am thinking of changing the tyres and rims for my octavia, what are the options that i can consider for both? e.g. for rims, i see 15 x 6.5, 16 x 7, 16 x 6.5, i know 15 is the rim size, but dunno what is the next figure (6.5, 7) for?? thinking of upgrading to 16... e.g. for tyres, i think my current one is 195/65/15. i would prefer less noise and hopefully a better milege performance in comparison to other factors... what kind of figures can i choose to match the rim size i select above? or is it the brand/make of the tyre that constitutes to these factors instead of the figures? thanks in advance... :)
  8. Looking for Konig Wheels As well...know where I take a look? http://www.konigwheels.com/catalog_subcate...%20WHEEL%20LINE
  9. any tests that i can do to check if my rims have gone out of shape (can't see it my eyes). reasons i'm asking is because i have been going over small humps and lines of depressions daily on my route to work. furthermore, just now i just went over a depression for drainage that have the drain cover remove! luckily it was at the end of a slope (in a multistorey carpark). heart ache.
  10. Hey Guys.. Anyone know if any Singapore retailers carry this brand of Rims? Think that the AV-7 and ZT-6 look pretty cool (ZT-6 5 holes though from the pics ...haiz...can't fit my car ) http://www.tenzoracingsports.com/roadwheels/
  11. Hi there, Am a VW Golf owner and I have 2 sets of used 15" rims for all Fabia owners who are interested to upgrade. Willing to go for low prices cos they are sitting around doing nothing. If you are interested, pls sms me at 9766-3490.
  12. I'm now using 14" alloys 185/60/14. 8kg/rim Thinking of changing to Alessio Euro rims from Italy and P6000 tyres 195/50/15. Like the look of the rims, but drawback is, it's heavy - 10kg/rim. Can anyone advise me if this is a good change? Cos I heard an increase in unsprung weight will hinder performance. Will this be significant?
  13. ...if not, then my G9 car no fate wif OZ liaoz.... haiz... another question is I read in delphi that for those front wheel drive cars (typically japanese), if you happen to jack up the front wheels and put them into motion, is it true that one wheel starts spinning than the other? more specifically, the left wheel gains momentum much faster than the right one? any comments? tks
  14. I think it's more likely that Toyota or more likely, Borneo Motors, has commissioned JRD to produce sports rims for their cars as an option.
  15. http://www.fernblatt.com/longhurst/ A humourous sublink is http://www.fernblatt.com/longhurst/petpeeves.html I posted sometime ago at the Skoda Owners Group forum, but thought you guys would find it informative.
