  1. Went to one of the petrol station near Jusco , saw a few SG cars in front After a while , I walked towards the pump and saw that they will pumping in nearly 30Ltrs of U95 petrol so I asked them , they said they ( the cashier ) don't care But when come to our turn , can only pumped in less than 20Ltrs
  2. its time the authorities do something about this. one petrol company has stopped selling octane 92 completely. they have raise/increase prices at will. should the authorities give them so much "free hand" i can think of no other way to solve the problem for drivers. the only way to curb this is to ban the 3/4 rule.
  3. Taken from soccernet.com Despite making a world record
  4. 01. 100% cover for diver, passenger and pedestrian. 02. No body Fault Insurance. Vehicle repair less than 10 % of the current vehicle cost, owner will paid. When more than 10% (Workshop will try to bring down the cost of repair) vehicle will scrap and insurance will paid and diver (will follow all rules and regulations - Safe road for everybody) not allow to drive for 1 year (2nd time will be 2 years and ........). May be after few months less vehicle on the road (No jam, ERP????????)
  5. what is the minimum car parts that is needed by the scrap yard to certify a 'Scrapped Car' Status? 1) Just a bare bone chassis and engine casing, both with the serial number? 2) Or just the bare bone chassis is enough? Anyone with experience?
  6. ESPN Soccernet latest : Mourinho voices support for FIFA's "6+5" rule Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho has thrown his backing behind FIFA's controversial "6+5" rule, designed to limit the number of foreign players in domestic leagues, and insists that focusing on home-grown players is the right path to take. Sepp Blatter's contentious proposal, which has the backing of 155 of FIFA's 208 member nations, states that at the start of a game a club must field at least six players who would be eligible for the national team of the country of the club. In an interview with ESPN Mourinho said: "The sentiment I think is correct. I'm not concerned about the exact number, 3+3 or 4+4 or 5+5, that's not the point. But the philosophy of teams to look to youth policy and youth development, I think the philosophy is correct, yes." Serie A side Internazionale famously has very few Italians at the club and this is something that Mourinho has started to address. The Portuguese had too many non-Italian players for his European squad at the start of the season and had to leave five players out of the Champions League list. As a consequence he brought through two of the club's Italian youngsters, Davide Santon and Mario Balotelli, and Mourinho points out it is important for the fans to have local idols to identify with. "You know, the world is global, football is global, we cannot be too much concerned about nationalities, but I think the clubs, they must invest in their formation, in players made in the club, made in the country," Mourinho said. "I think this is also about the empathy between the team and the fans." Ha..Ha..Ha.. after losing to ManU in Champion League, he now agree to the 6-5 rules ...... When he was at Chelsea, he wasn't like that ...... Another SORE loser .....

    HDB-78% rule

My fren bought his EA for $306,000 with 30 years loan repayment of $248,000 with 2.6% interest. He is about to sell the house at $460,000. He was caught dumbfounded when HDB officer told him of this 78% rule. He suppose to pay 78% of the unconsumed interest of the outstanding loan. He thought he would have net near $200,000 gain.Now... its very very much lesser. Anyone can advise on this.

  10. Hi all, Need a little help on a situation as per below. Car A IS WAITING for a lot at the back of a row of parallel parking, then car B drives up 3 car lengths IN FRONT of car A and car B waits for about 10 mins. After the wait a car 2 car lengths IN FRONT of car B leaves. Who should take the lot?
  11. I heard it is not an offence to do a U-Turn if there is no sign and it is a right turn. However, if you need to do a "K" or "3-point" (reverse then turn again) turn then it is illegal. That means do not have to strictly use a "U-Turn" sign, can anyone confirm this? I have always thought only if there is a "U-Turn" then you are allowed to do it....
  12. Home > ST Forum > Story July 3, 2008 I CONVERTED my saloon car to a compressed natural gas (CNG)-run vehicle recently. Upon receiving my vehicle, I found two poorly designed green CNG labels pasted on the front and rear bumpers and was told by the workshop that they are a Land Transport Authority (LTA) requirement. The workshop staff also cautioned me that drivers of CNG vehicles without the labels could be fined. However, lately I realised that white CNG Mercedes taxis do not bear such labels. I called LTA to inquire and was told that it does not have a regulation on CNG labelling. LTA said it was a Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) requirement for fire-fighting purposes. Upon further clarification with the SCDF, I was told it, too, does not have such a regulation. The officer suggested it was Spring Singapore that requested the CNG labelling. I hope the relevant authorities can confirm if there is such a regulation. I would also like to inquire if there is a better way of indicating a CNG vehicle, such as number-plates of a different colour or a properly-designed decal. Tang Kwan Yin like that also comprain
  13. I am just wondering if there is a traffic rule to prohibit a car to stop and drop a passeger near a bus-stop. I have been dropping my wife just in front of a bus-stop where the marking on the side is a double yellow line and is not marked as a bus lane. Just this morning, an SBS bus was right behind me and the bus driver kept honking at me for stopping my car to drop my wife along a double yellow line about 5 meters in front of the bus-stop. I wonder why ??
  14. http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/sin.../332731/1/.html whats the point of taking taxis to the CBD when they can only alight at taxi stands, might as well take bus there where there are more bus stops around. Really stupid. Someone pls explain what the LTA meant by 'in the interest of the passengers' safety' to have this rule
  15. over the news, cars leaving MY for SG can only pump 1/4 tank. how to enforce?
  16. this morning I saw a civic front screen tint film same as rear tint film, totally couldn't see the driver from outside , cool man is it considered Challenge LTA tint film rule? wonder anyone has the experience that was catched by LTA due to tint film too dark? if not, try to bet luck, change front tint to deep dark too[:p]

  19. Hi bro, Just came to my mind, since M'sia came to mind, since msia goin to impose RM20 for entering msia, do you think it is still worth for spore to impose 3/4 rule on all spore car, imagive, they have to standy manpower(min 2) at the counter t check all the car and cause the time to leave the checkpoint longer. But usually spore goverment will still want to earn money from the natural resources like us lah. Any opinion?
  20. hi, just wan to ask when negotiatin a (sharp bend) in a 2-ways lane, shld keep to the left lane or right lane when turning, esp when comes to sharp bend? sorry always not very sure, esp when comes to laws of physics... real-life scenario: from KJE (choa chu kang) to BKE (city), there is this quite sharp bend which needs to go thru 1st before coming to BKE. so i always not sure which lane shld i stick to so tat can negotiate the bend easier... sorry my car dun have any special mod to cut sharp corners... left lane seems easier, though the centrifugal force will push me to the right lane often. errm... hope im makin things clear... thks. fei.
  21. My colleague registered a car under her name but the insurance is bought under her husband's name. There's a rule in the policy that she will not be covered under the insurance even as an unnamed driver should she drive the car and got into accident. I find it funny that any Dick, Tom and Harry can drive and be covered as an unnamed driver but not the owner. If it's the other way round and she has bought the insurance under her own name as well, her husband would be able to drive and be covered.
  22. For early redemption of loans ..... lets say the banks apply Rule 78 calculations to your loan. Is there any way that the amount is negotiable , that means can talk to the bank to reduce the final amount or is the whole thing non-negotiable ?? The new Hire Purchase agreements now got no more Rule 78 ... is that correct ?? Advises please ..... from our financial geniuses
  23. Any one understand what is rule is about? Read in the Straits Times that this rule is illegal in the US. It is also mentioned that this rule will be brought up in the parliament debate in next few months. Most likely, it will be considered illegal in Singapore too. However, the report warns that banks & financial institutes will come up with some other scheme because early settlement penalties contribute quite a bit to their revenue.
  24. My wife juz recently signed up for driving class. during one of her theory lessons, the instructor said that if u are 1.4m or less in height, u are exempted from wearing the seatbelt...and im talking abt the driver here!! is there such rule?
