  3. Just curious if anyone ever get bothered about the seat belt retracting too slowly ? My previous Sunny, once I release, it'll snap back very very fast. But my current Stream, when I release, due to the angle of the seatbelt hook (along B-pillar), it may or may not retract .. sometimes it just hang there ! The manual mentioned slow retracting could be due to dirt on the seat belt ... but I've cleaned it with no effect. I think it's more due to the angle .... Anyone has any neat trick ?

THe leather seat covers are grey in color and fit RIO 2003 and above. 4 Pcs of window visors are also available. As these are used parts, I will like to offer them up for bidding to finance a teeny weeny bit of my new car payment.....hehe :P Give me your best price.... Note: Anyone needs to swap anything with my car, please let me know by PM. I will be releasing my car by wednesday, so everything before that. Swapping of parts is free as long as is one for one and excludes labour. You have to find your own mechanic to do the swap.

  15. We heard quite some discussion abt Leather seats, from car ad,forum, review etc,the term "leather seat"is always being emphasized. As a new car owner myself,I would need some advise from the bros out there on how do we know if we are getting what we paid for. For example,we buy a car and wanted to change to leather seats, how we know if it is a genuine leather(usually not possible)?synthetic leather? PVC? or combination of these? Is it true that most of the time,PVC materials are being used?

  18. I have child restraint seat with adjustable tether anchor. According to the manual, there are 3 positions to anchor but the rear board seems to have covered it all up! By opening the boot I can see them underneath. Something like the pic below: Its that rectangular piece with the nut in the centre. The Aveo got 3 of this. Actually I was hoping for this: But the Aveo doesn't come with this. Should I go to SA during my first 1k servicing and ask them to make all 3 accessible? Free.
  19. Seat Altea - start of a new generation SEAT has issued the following press release: The SEAT Altea is coming soon. Only five months after its presentation as a prototype at the last Frankfurt Motor Show, it is now a reality. This model heralds a new generation of SEAT models, and is the first vehicle to be wholly developed within the Audi Brand Group since it was established in 2002. The beginning of the new age for SEAT is based on three fundamental pillars - the well-known Ibiza and Le
  20. http://www.supercars.net/PicFetch?pic=2003_seat_altea_prototipo-1.jpg The Frankfurt Motor Show will provide the setting for first showing of the SEAT Altea Prototipo. This prototype heralds the arrival of a completely new production model, also called Altea, planned for launch in 2004. The Altea will be the first SEAT product to be developed within the new Audi Brand Group created in early 2002. The Altea Prototipo is not just another concept car or a demonstration of the SEAT Design Centre's creative talents - it is just a few steps away from becoming a reality. It is a true prototype that shows the styling of the new model that will become a pillar of the Spanish brand, sharing the spotlight with the Ibiza and Leon models. The Altea Prototipo gives an insight into the new look of SEAT's future models. The front end features a large radiator grille that proudly displays the brand badge, and is highlighted by the cat's eye-like headlamps. The side view clearly shows the dynamic line that flows downward over the doors to meet the rear wheel arches and will characterise all new SEAT models. From the outside, the Altea Prototipo's clean lines give no indication where the engine space, passenger compartment and boot start and finish, making it a true mono-space. But this is a very special, sporty mono-space, that SEAT calls an MSV. MSV stands for Multi Sport Vehicle, a concept that combines sporty design and a dynamic driving experience with the functionality of a mono-space arrangement inside. On the Altea Prototipo this means 2+2 seating (four individual seats), an aerodynamic silhouette, a compact, lowered five-door chassis, and detailing worthy of a thoroughbred, such as the large 19 inch rims with low profile tyres, and the powerful brake system visible through the wheel spokes. Such impressive looks are matched by excellent performance, which can be easily demonstrated as this is a fully functioning model. The Altea Prototipo also incorporates brand new technology for SEAT, a powerful 2.0 FSI petrol engine - SEAT's first FSI engine. The engine's 150 PS output is transmitted to the front wheels through a 6-speed automatic and sequential Tiptronic gearbox. The chassis, of course, features the efficient Agile Chassis or DSR (Dynamic Steering Response) developed by SEAT. The Altea Prototipo is a clear illustration of the fundamental values of the Spanish brand: innovative, original design, extrovert sporty character and driving pleasure delivered through technology. SEAT's new MSV concept will be showcased at the Frankfurt Motor Show and the final production model will soon be seen on the roads. Story by Seat

  22. What do you guys think? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the shape of things to come from SEAT, and it's in the form of what the firm is calling a Multi Sport Vehicle. The car seen here is the Altea, and while it's technically a concept, bosses have confirmed it will go into production and keep the name. It will be sold alongside the Leon, offering customers a more practical and versatile alternative. What's more, insiders say the large grille housing the SEAT badge, coupled with the sleek shape of the headlamps, will feature on all new models. The Altea is based on the Salsa concept, driven in issue 721, although that car's non-opening bonnet and two-piece tailgate have disappeared. In profile, the smooth lines and low stance of the Altea give it a performance-oriented look, while still offering mini-MPV-like space and practicality. Styling differences on the production car - due to be built on the new VW Golf platform and set to arrive in 2004 - will be minimal. The two individual back chairs are likely to be scrapped, replaced by a more conventional bench seat, while the large 19-inch alloys will be on the options list. But the windscreen wipers which tuck up vertically against the A-pillar when not in use, and rear door handles hidden in the quarterlight, should remain. Inside, the show car cabin's mix of aluminium and leather will be toned down. Under the bonnet is a 2.0-litre 150bhp FSI petrol unit - the first time a SEAT has been powered by one of VW's FSI engines. It will definitely make production. Power is fed to the front wheels via a six-speed auto gearbox with sequential Tiptronic controls.
